New York Dolls
New York DollsArchetypal “band who the bands you like like” for me. Had so much fun listening to this and can see the influence it had on so many bands I’m in to. Regret not having listened to them before.

I don’t think I’ve listened to any album more than I’ve listened to this one. (It was on my CD alarm clock almost the entirety of high school) thought I’d feel cooler on it having not listened to it in years, and having had no desire to, but I loved every minute of it and struggled not to sing along tunelessly throughout. An absolute masterpiece that comes close to justifying the complete and utter bellendry of the Gallaghers. I’m enough of a toss pot to honestly believe this is the second best Oasis album behind The Masterplan.
One banger doesn’t make a good album.
Thought it was purile and shite when it came out and was “pleased” to be proved right. Horrendous listening experience and I curse myself for not having enough self respect to have turned it off.
Impressively meh.

Really enjoyed the first half, had only previously know ‘In the Ghetto’ & ‘Suspicious Minds’ found that it felt a bit samey by the end though.
Already an album I knew I liked and didn’t disappoint. It’s on the lower end of the good Bowie stuff, but that’s pretty good by most standards.
Enjoyed listening to it while I was, but wouldn’t rush back to listen again.
Much like Faces yesterday, this is a favourite of my dads. Personally I’m fonder of this than the Faces, the song Aqualung is rightfully a classic and everything else on here is a decent standard without getting close to that level.
Voice is incredible but album left me a bit cold.
Loved it, not heard this album before but really like Massive Attack., so wasn’t surprised.
Sounded fresher and much more enjoyable than I expected. Really wouldn’t recommend listening to anything else they’ve done though.

First listen I thought this was good but not outstanding, however I’ve ended up putting it on at least four times over the day. Probably my favourite of the albums I was hearing for the first time during this.
Can appreciate the artistry of this while not necessarily thinking it was amazing. Would listen again but probably not recommend it to others.
So so beautiful! Probably the first album in this project, that transcends to the level of art.
Tried twice but really wasn’t for me, just seemed a bit samey.
Incredibly enjoyable. Set me down a rabbit hole of listening to loads of their other albums having never listened to them before.
Slow, boring and directionless in parts. Really disappointed as was first thing I had absolutely no idea about that’s come up but just left me feeling it was a bit meh.
Really good fun without being outstanding. Would be happy to listen again but won’t be rushing to.
So so tedious.
Despite the Morrisey of it all, this remains an absolutely excellent album.
Impressively meh.

Seems fine but I wasn’t blown away.
Can appreciate it but didn’t enjoy it that much.
Title track is too good for rest of the album. It is a 5* banger test is forgettable dross.
3 of the best pop songs ever on an otherwise ok album.
Really wasn’t in the mood.
This was fun, but nothing special.
Wasn’t blown away, but should maybe have given it more of a chance.
The 4 famous tracks give this album a much better reputation that it deserves.
C’est Chic. C’est magnafique.
Just really not for me.
Never understood the fuss around The Blue Nile.
So much fun.
Really enjoyed my listen through to this never heard of the act but it was great.
Was decent, can see why it’s a classic but it wasn’t necessarily for me.
Really enjoyed the weirdness.
Really good, but not sure if rush back.
3-4 absolute classics don’t hide the fact this is a bloated mess.
Couple of bangers but largely left me cold.
Enjoyed this much much more than I have previously.
Really enjoyed this, will absolutely listen again.
Really enjoyed this today.
Typically mismatched Motown album, but enjoyable.
Decent, enjoyable, new to me so all good.
Good fun, not a band I knew much of before, would listen again.
Enjoyable in parts but largely a bit flat.
No where near as fun as I remembered it. I coincidentally listened to Fever to Tell last week and that stood up much much better than this.
Beautiful.
Really good fun. Listened with the kids and they really enjoyed it too.
Def in my top two Blur albums. Love it.
Didn’t enjoy this anywhere near as much as I have in the past.
Good without being great.
Just not a fan.
Had a lot of fun with this.
One banger doesn’t make a good album.
Loved all the beats and samples lyrics really not for me.
Really enjoyed this.
Surprised this on here.
Had a fun time with this. Made me nostalgic for Viva La Bam.
{shrug}
I’m a basic bitch, but this is absolutely the best album by one of the greatest bands. 10/10 would listen again.
Disappointed
