Somehow I hadn't ever listened to this whole album? They had a greater range than I'd expected from the singles.
I might have liked this a lot if I'd listened to it back in the day! Fun mix of heavy guitars and horns on some tracks. Lyrics are probably worth revisiting.
Sounds pretty, but also boring.
Stoopid in the best way.
An all-time classic, peak Bowie. It still sounds like the future to me. The orientalism of "The Secret Life of Arabia" is really the only miss here.
An all-time favorite
Maybe it’s so influential it retrospectively sounds like something I’ve heard before?
Sounds great but didn't really capture my interest.
Super solid album. I'll always choose Blur over Oasis.
Took two listens to really get it, but once I did I loved it.
An all-time favorite.
This really holds up.
Wow. What range, both vocally and in song selection.
So awesome. A lot like his father's music, but more structured and more modern production.
Always so perfect
Solid album. Not sure if it's my thing or not.
I tried. But I just can’t.
Hadn't listened in a while and hadn't realized how deeply embedded in my brain this album is.
Not my thing, but hard to hate when they're having so much fun.
Great jazz R&B blend
Classic 90s album and such a triumph for Courtney Love.
Great album, but The Queen Is Dead will always be my favorite.
I listened 3 times but it just never held my interest.
Not Hooker’s best by a long shot.
Good album, just not my thing.
I’m so glad he finally finished this album.
My favorite Smiths album.
A fine album. The extended version goes more traditional Irish than I like, but the main album’s great.
Wish I’d had more time with this one.
I love Superfly, but this album didn’t catch me.
Wow. Much British.
Much more country than I remembered.
Known about this album for years, never listened. Love the “dubbiness“ of these songs.
The best of the early punk albums.
Deeper than I expected
I love Street Fighting Man and Sympathy for the Devil, but just didn't find anything else here really speaking to me.
