Kid A by Radiohead

First song. Painful. Like having a stone stuck in your tyre. Or like a kid asking you why over and over again. Second song. Good beat but the voice, wtf. I now know where fat white family got their inspiration. Tracks seem to have promise but don't go anywhere. Just whine on and on. How to disappear completely couldn't start any worse. DO NOT LISTEN IF ON THE EDGE. Fair enough write about your problems but don't put it on everyone else, it's selfish. Drones on about not being here, I wish he wasn't here to be honest and this is a low point for me in the album. Will try and finish it.... Didn't get any better and I never want to listen to Radiohead ever again

The Yes Album by Yes

I've always just liked what I've liked without really realising why but I'm learning along this journey. This band sounds like a mix between the Beatles era and heavy rock like guns n roses or Metallica. Never heard yes before but I really liked it.

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned

Once again a band I've not heard before. Great album though.

Pretenders by Pretenders

Yeah I don't mind the pretenders, I seem to think they start to sound a bit samey though. 2.5 for me

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Apr 19 2023

Some classic tunes and obviously a massive inspiration to a lot of bands. Having said that, not really my cup of tea. Starts strong and then just gets a bit much for me.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Apr 21 2023

Fantastic album. First time listener and one of my fave Beatles albums. None of the massive hits but you can hear where the indie rock bands got their inspo. Brilliant

Imagine by John Lennon
Apr 22 2023

First time listener. Short which is a plus in my book. Strong start, I enjoyed up until 'I don't wanna be a soldier mama'. Down hill from there. Oh Yoko was upbeat but awful chorus. I was expecting better. Disappointed. 2.5/5

1999 by Prince
Apr 23 2023

I can see why it was so massive at the time. Easy listen.

The Yes Album by Yes

Machine Gun Etiquette by The Damned
Apr 25 2023

Once again a band I've not heard before. Great album though.

The Hour Of Bewilderbeast by Badly Drawn Boy
Apr 26 2023

An hour long.... Bad start with first track 2 interludes in first 3 tracks.... And then fall in a river... I'm wondering if they forgot to edit this album before releasing I don't like this at all. Like a lot of 00s artists, Too vanilla for me and could easily have called it the 37mins of bewilderbeast Pretentious in my opinion with all the boring instrumental stuff and interludes. Just my opinion. Overall boring

Apr 27 2023

Chilled out drum n bass vibes. I'm into heavier stuff in general but could definitely chill to this in the sun with a few wines

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Apr 28 2023

First impressions.... I don't particularly like the guys voice and it al seems a bit soft and boring and dreary. Transylvania blues is enjoyable and let's not say we did was more upbeat. And then back to the drearfest with Tennessee... Overall I didn't like it

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Apr 29 2023

Fantastic album. I particularly liked the middle 3 of princess of the street, hanging around and peaches. Will definitely listen again.

1977 by Ash
Apr 30 2023

Good album this. I love my indie and this was more grungy than a lot of the britpop around at that time. It's got that Owen Wilson loudness to it which at times is a bit ott. More rock than britpop 3.5/5

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
May 01 2023

This album really surprised me. Never hear dog him before or any of the tunes. Really great start especially on a Sunday morning. I did find it slowed right down towards the end but overall I'll probably listen again.

Murmur by R.E.M.
May 03 2023

Exactly as you'd expect from REM.

Ten by Pearl Jam
May 04 2023

Excellent album.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
May 06 2023

I often wonder what it must have been like to hear an album that is so unlike what has gone before. I'd love to go back to 1970 and see

We're Only In It For The Money by The Mothers Of Invention
May 07 2023

Absolutely mental but I didn't dislike it overall.... I liked that they took the piss out of the Beatles

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
May 11 2023

I can appreciate how good this is but it's not my cup of tea. Fave song.. what more can I say

Drunk by Thundercat
May 12 2023

I didn't particularly like this. It would be ok as background music but nothing jumped out at me. Some of it was weird.

Sound Affects by The Jam
May 13 2023

Although I hadn't been born when they were smashing it, the jam are one of my all time favourite bands.

Raw Power by The Stooges
May 16 2023

Good album

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
May 17 2023

An album of hits but listening back knowing how it ended, you realise it's all a lie

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
May 18 2023

Not an offensive album by any stretch. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
May 19 2023

Starts off well, bit too grungy second half

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
May 22 2023

More dreary old shite. Cross between badly drawn boy and Radiohead. Devils music

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 23 2023

Brilliant album. Reminds me of the nelson.

May 26 2023

I loved the riffs and beats. I guess I like more sing along vocals than the mumbling.

Pretenders by Pretenders
Jun 02 2023
