The Queen Is Dead
The SmithsAlready knew it, love it.
Already knew it, love it.
Non riesce a conquistarmi del tutto ma vi sono alcune chicche indimenticabili
Nice to listen to but not I genre of music I seek out
Surprisingly good. Nice psychedelic solos, all tracks are good
Lovely Album. Not as much as Can't Buy a Thrill from the same band, so it's a 4 for me
Loved it as much as I love to see Amanda Lear in the album cover
Cool ideas, cool sounds, just too long for someone that isn't a fan of hip hop. In fact I like The Love Below more than Speakerboxxx
Better than I remembered! It aged well
Not my kind of tea but it helped me focusing on work
Avoided for a long time 'cause it was too long, but now I keep on listening because it'as a beautiful record. Even the jams at the end. 4/5 because it's still too long to become a favorite, but great songrwiting
Right when I was ready to skip the whole album, Breathless captivated me. With Babe you turn me on, I was sold. Too long for me, and I like the second half more than the first. But can't deny Nick Cave talent.
not my genre, but still entertaining
I like the mix of genres. It grows on me the more I listen to it, but right now I still don't fully understanding (or maybe I'm not in the right mood). I think I like it more than Kid A. Very interesting!
Probably important for the history of hard rock and metal, sadly not my cup of tea
I had to wait for a bad mood day to appreciate it.
What a nice discovery! In 2010 I would have loved this shit
I like it overall but it feels disconnected and sadly I can't keep it in my head or heart
A classic, good vibes, good sound.
Cute backgrounds music when you clean the house, or if you want a vintage bar atmosphere
I know this probably comes from nostalgia, but after so many years I still find this album impeccable
Sweet but boring
Not my thing, at all
I did really enjoyed this album. Always Love Fripp's guitar
Incredible record where almost every song can stand on its own, even near masterpieces like Starman and Ziggy Stardust
Sounds like a musical, it's not bad but nothing stood out to me
Great sound, great groove. Not the hits I know but a nice find!
Pure nostalgia rating. But nothing gives me more satisfaction than singing screaming Don't look back in anger
I had no idea what the PSB sounded like, was expecting something completely different. This was super soft but it's not my jam
The reason I like this project is finding things I never heard of, just like this band/album. "Crash and Carry" sold it to me, just the kind of techno I love. I didn't enjoy the album fully, but some dreamy psychedelic tracks here and there are the reason I'm giving a 4
I understand the disruptive impact this had when it first came out, but sadly it doesn't work on me
I may be biased by my love for Paul, but this album is a banger
Not for me but I was expecting worse
I find it difficult to relate to Led Zeppelin g and remembering their stuff. But then every time I hear In the Light, for example, I'm in awe. I don't know what keeps me from truly loving them. In this case maybe it's the album length
I did know this album, but I think I wasn't completely ready for it the first time around. This time I was completely captivated
This was a great surprise. Loved the sound of most of the songs, the rest is maybe too heavy, but I'll go back to this album many times
I would have liked this record In 2013, but it came out 10 years too early and I'm listening 10 years too late
A classic. Lily of the Valley alone makes this album a 5
I felt lucky to discover this album through the best 500 albums challenge and now I just love this album so much
Long but beautiful, I'll keep going back to it to absorbe it
Catchy motherfuckers
Some great tunes but overall I liked more to listen directly to a "best of"
Not mind-blowing, I will listen more carefully just out of respect of B&S later works, but it still is sweet music
Can't understand why this album is here beside the 2 hit songs
I love the title track so much but I find the other ones a little bit repetitive, and that's a pity
I don't like to be screamed at, I can't concentrate on the actual music
Love the vibes, a subtle touch of psychedelia in a mellow soft Brazilian sound. Too long for a 5 tho
Masterpiece, love it from head to toe
35 Minutes of perfect tunes, can't believe this album wasn't successful at the time
Some songs are true gems, but it doesn't convince me all the way through
I don't know why it's here, I never heard of it and is nothing revolutionary, but I can picture myself listening to this album while drinking a beer in the porch I don't have at the end of summer
Interesting, not fully convincing. I like some of the songs very much tho
Good on a very slow and sad day
Comforting voice, good company for a lonely night
I didn't love it at first but I must admit that this list gave me the opportunity to reevaluate it
This was an amazing discovery!
I don't understand the bad reviews. Had very low expectations but I'm captivated and listened to this album multiple times. "Look at you" is a very good song
I'm tempted to skip every song. I think I would need weed and a very comfortable sofa to really enjoy this music, maybe some other stoner company. I don't have any of these things, I'm just bored
At first I thought this album was too jazzy for me (in an annoying satinated way) but I think I'm starting to get it (still, not even close to my love for Can't Buy a Thrill)
Very interesting prog opera, reminds me of Tommy. Feels a bit diluted in length
It's not something that I would personally decide to listen to if I had to choose, but can this be anything else than a 5?
I don't know, it's not bad at all, but also I won't listen to it ever again probably. 3.5 stars if I could
3-4 very good songs but overall not a favorite
It's not bad at all but feels a little generic. I think nostalgia is a big factor for people who rated it higher, but I've never heard of it before and I'd rather listen to Damien Rice
I really like this record but for some reason I never listen to it, I don't feel the need to.
A couple of great tunes, not revolutionary as it would like to be
Listened to it multiple times and yet nothing stayed, but it doesn't sound bad. Just completely forgettable for my brain
This is like a wizardy soundtrack. Somehow I both cannot remember any song and keep listening. I get swept away in another dimension at every listen
Nah
At the time Somebody like you sounded like the best song ever. Today this album feels boring, sorry Adele
One of the rare times I listenend happily to a hip hop album, multiple times. Last few tracks didn't impress me but overall is a very good listen
Nowhere Fast is enough to make this album for me (not my favourite from The Smiths) but here and there the guitar is really mesmerizing
4 stars just because a couple of tracks still hit close to my heart and are undoubtly very good songs. But maybe this album belongs too much to the years it came out
It does sound slightly outdated and frozen in a specific moment in time maybe, but I can't deny that some of these songs still touch something inside me. Hand in my pocket will never fail to move me
I mean. Highlights: She's leaving home, When I'm 64, A day in the life
