Fela KutiThis is one of those albums I feel like I need to know the history of but I liked it. Oh my gosh I just read about it. Holy crap.
This is one of those albums I feel like I need to know the history of but I liked it. Oh my gosh I just read about it. Holy crap.
I was so surprised by this album. Like I knew The Cars were influential but man. The last third of the album was my favorite.
I am all for this saxophone stuff.
Dang fun
I have new appreciation for this album. Always heard the singles but never in the intended context. Pretty dang cool
I really liked Plug Tunin
Wow. I am not into this. Made it halfway through. It’s not a texture I care for.
Thousand are sailing is my favorite track. Lots of goodness in here.
None of these tracks are really my cup of tea
Favorite track is Please Don’t Go
I know it’s foundational but I would say at a bird’s eye view it’s texturally repetitive in a way that isn’t too interesting to me. If it was an EP, that would be perfect. Favorite track is Metal and M.E.
Well well well. Ok I loved the first Lorde album. I remember thinking when this came out that it wasn’t as good. I was wrong. So much growth but Lorde keeps it catchy and textured. Liability hits me in the gut. Love Hard Feelings.
Going into this and I wonder if I’m going to keep my opinion that Led Zeppelin makes great songs that are just too long. Well I was totally wrong. I really only feel that way with Since I’ve Been Loving You. Liked That’s the Way.
This first track just makes me smile. Liked Orange Moon. Just a nice album from beginning to end.
What an album. I had a grand time listening to it a few times. 57821 and Cold War were some of my favorites.
Well. I’m so typical. Perfect Day is lovely. Feel like I’ve never really heard it until now. Satellite of Love is now my fav.
Opening to closing these songs are delightful but I don’t find the album particularly invigorating.
Digging The Age of Pamparius and Are you Ready for the Darkness.
Church is my fav. Gol. So good. Go back home. Good hell I love it. Dang. I liked this a bunch.
I just can’t be happy today is my fave so far. Can’t say this is my jam but I can appreciate it. Anti-pope vibes with me.
The Rover for the win. Ok this might be my favorite album of theirs. So many good tracks. Kind of crazy cause I think Kashmir is the weakest track. Yeah it’s a landmark but it doesn’t have the spunk or vibe of all these other tracks. Dang what a finish.
City, Country, City is chefs kiss. Wish I was listening on vinyl. Dang this is just a cool album.
This whole album is cozy. A delight.
It’s good. Can’t say it surprised me or anything. Like Baba is the best track. Was hoping another track was going to grab me.
Life on Mars!
Nothing stood out to me. I get why it is a huge deal but I personally don’t think I would listen to it ever again.
I just don’t like REM 😕
Aw yeah. Just chill. Not an active listen for me but good background.
Off to a good start here. I like Liar. Dang this is solid. Love it. Well that was unexpected. I like this.
It’s fine.
So this is not my thing but it’s cool to finally listen to such a landmark. 7th Chamber is so far my fav.
Visions of Johanna is nice. Wish I was listening on vinyl. As an album I’m just not that into it.
I’ve heard about this album for decades. Was skeptical but I like it. And this is the best version of Hallelujah. I also liked So Real. Ok so the longer I listen. The more I love this. Eternal Life is the fav.
Well this is going to be a stretch for me but honestly I kind of dig these harmonies. Favorite track so far is Those Memories of You.
This needs to be combined with life and listened to on vinyl.
Heck yeah. Eau D’bedroom Dancing is a great find. Yes To Let’s Run.
I believe in you is my favorite track
Add it up is alright. Like the vibe of Confessions and Prove my Love.
Yes. Like this one. I’m not in Love is currently my favorite track but I also liked Found a Job.
Solid. Caroline says FTW. I like all of this. The Bed feels like an Ari Aster film. Phenomenal.
Jive-y but not my style. Return to Oz was cool.
Classic. I love the first half more than the second.
Sometimes the artist surprises me. Can say half way through that isn’t going to happen with CCR. That’s not a bad thing. They’re solid.
I should like this album. I want to like this album. It’s so close to interesting but for me it feels like slightly elevated elevator music.
Nice. I like Give me another chance and Try again.
Oh dang. I don’t know if I’ve ever listened to the album from start to end. So good.
They are so dang talented. I like White Queen. Some day one day surprised me.
Like The Skank Heads. Heck yes. This is grand.
I’m so uncultured. I get it now.
I don’t get it. It sounds like all the worst parts of good genres smushed together. Not unlistenable but bleh.
Oooooo yeah! Takes me back. Love how the album ends.
This project is so fun. I’ve only heard The Muse on the radio or music videos. Great songs all around. Favorite so far is Map of Problematic.
Hey. I like this!
I need to listen to this on vinyl. I love this. Holy crap. Solid. Adore I can’t make it alone.
I must be in the wrong mood or I just am letting my impression of Prince distract from the album.
It’s alright. No big stand outs for me.
Lose my breath is so far my fav. Ahead of its time.
How have I not listened to this album. Wonderful. Summertime Clothes FTW. Great stuff all around.
Turns out Wonderwall still slaps? I can’t tell. I feel like I can’t pay too much attention to it cause it feels cheesy? Maybe that’s the whole album? I’ll just dig it from a distance. Ah I like this album the further in I go. What a finish.
Oof. Half way through but I find it grating. Like The Weight is good but let’s see what the rest of the album does. Thank goodness for Chest Fever.
Forgot how much I like Orion.
Here we go! Perfection
Don’t care for this right now.
Yes. I dig this
I dig it
It’s Alright ::wink emoji::
Gets old
Out the gate I’m in. It’s got a texture I dig.
Interesting. Like the vignettes and how this is all put together.
Gol he’s good. This is one solid album.
Love it.
How have I lived my life without Dusty. I love this album.
I can’t stop thinking about Ron Burgundy. I don’t have any stand out tracks. It’s meditations don’t resonate with me but I’m sure they impacted so many others.
Isolation hits. Dammit the whole album does.
Appreciate that Joni broke the ground for so many of the other artists I love.
It’s a fun little album. Oh wait. It’s really just trying to get me to bed.
Yeah. Good times
I love their harmonies so much.
It’s got this classic rock thing blended with texture sometime that I really appreciate.
Yep. Pretty good.
Whats cool about this is that it’s on the brink of something. It’s not just elements that will influence other artist. It’s not something that steals the spotlight from artists, it feels like a building block for a lot of things. Very cool.
I like Tonight and Neighborhood Threat a bunch.
Classic.
Wasn’t expecting this based on the title. Live the atmosphere and texture.
Great back ground music. Remember how huge this album was in the late 90s.
Not my thing.
What a mood. These guys like the women but they have some questionable thought processes sometimes.
Perfect.
Thought I would come into this album feeling like I’ve heard it all and it just feels like old news. But it didn’t. Yes everyone is pulling inspiration from Bruce but he’s got so much passion it just holds a place.
Yep. Vintage country. Cool texture.
Beautiful
Well I’m just like everyone else and like Child in Time the most. This album was a surprise.
Good but nothing catches me.
Can hear those little elements that New Age latched on to.
Loved how they ended this album.
Expanding while familiar.
Hits and misses all over the place.
Meh. Just wish I was listening to Wonderwall instead. Further away bugs the hell out of me.
So glad I got to listen to this. Elvis has many imitators but he does it best.
It’s not my cup of tea. It’s alright but nothing really hits all the way. I do like little elements tucked away in the songs.
