Drums.
Songs are a bit long for me but all works.
6.5/10 for enjoyement.
Absolutely explosive. Love this vibe, not a lot to criticise. 8.5/10
Really good mind clearer. Lovely situational
Quite the journey. LOVED the start but it dissolves into a bit too much randomness I think. Still a really interesting listen.
These are Some of the catchiest pop songs ive ever heard. 5 stars isnt enough for a rating system. Would give it 3.5, guess its getting 3. 7 of an 8 outta 10 tho.
Another difficult one. Not my favourite Pixies record but certainly a good one. I’d probably still give it an 8 even though there’s some tracks I don’t love.
Very chill. Good melodies, not crazy but a classic.
8
LOVE, this sum magazine shit but 10 years earlier. slappss.
8.5/10
Really like it. Very punchy for this type of music I feel. Just shy of a 4 but very entertaining and replayable. Just not transcending or anything.
Really enjoyable. I’m in doubt but I think it don’t deserve a 4 quite. Pretty flawless though.
Music for the masses to me, is Depeche Mode doing what they do best. Every record sees the band polishing their sound and this one is no exception. My only complaint is that it’s not necessarily something new, just a further enhancement of what we already knew. Nevertheless it’s done exquisitely and all of these songs are effortless and enjoyable experiences
Vibin all the way through. Doesn’t get much cooler than this. 8.5/10
Just for how out there it is I respect it. It was a very interesting first listen I just don’t think this has a lot of replayability. This is really not my kind of music but I’m impressed with how engaged I was, so for that a 3.
This was honestly better than I thought I’d be. Kinda wanna give it a 5. Fuck it.
Probably loud and out there on release but to me a bit boring. Jamie’s Cryin and I’m the one were the highlights. 5/10
Liked it. There’s some real ingenuity in some of these songs. 7+
Cool production. Love the English. Just shy of 5 I think (relatively)
When treated as a ‘sit down and listen’ experience, this is definitely too long. But its not intended as that, its a live album ffs. Everything here is crafted very well and never feels repetitive.
Tad boring to me. I like the writing here and there and wouldn’t complain would it be on but… to me a bit boring, wouldn’t come back as quick.
For me this would be very situational. But they exist.
That’s how you do inventive pop music. Flawless listen.
A tough one. Couldn’t make up my mind listening to it. A tad long I think. If some songs were cut I think it’d be better. Lots of different ideas and vibes.
Well it’s definitely funky. I feel that I should have maybe rated this higher because I can see it’s genuinely good and pleasant music. I think it’s just not my music, and while the vibes are immaculate, I don’t really get more out of it than just: oh, this is a vibe. But it is, in fact, a vibe.
Exactly my kinda shit. The title track dragged a lil bit imo, besides that everything was absolutely flawless.
Liquid swords was excellent. The vibe carries this the most for me but the relatively catchy choruses and immaculate rhyming schemes definitely enrich it.
I couldn’t do it. I really wanted to. I’m not judging metal on this but god I just don’t like it. It’s boring to me, very sorry, honestly. First record I haven’t finished.
Classique. I have to give this a five, I’d probably give it a five had it come out last week and this shit came out 60 years ago. So fuxking replayable.
How about a 5? Yeah, 5 sounds good.
This was pretty solid for its length. I don’t think it needed to be this long but I was entertained enough. There’s a lot worse then this but there’s also a lot that’s just more thought-provoking. Still quite impressed.
Eh. There’s emotion sure, but it’s all so simple. I could listen to this for a track or two but a whole record… no thanks.
Very fun listen. Nothing pops out but everything is streamlined perfectly. I wanna give it a 4 but I’ll give it a 3 cause it didn’t move me or whatever
Beatles record. Albeit quite nice. There’s a certain punch especially early in the record and these songs are written very well, musically. The production and lyricism has aged like milk. Drums are good tho.
Exactly for me. These are a fine fine selection of songs. Some are so simple yet tailored to absolute perfection and Fogerty’s delivery and very southern sound of the band make it so refreshing. Everything here works for me.
Nice songs. I’d never listen to a full album of this. But I see the appeal in each song. Aight.
Yeah…fine…this got me. Fucking gorgeous. May be cause I’m faded but every time the rough guitars came in it surprised me. I don’t know if it has much replay value tho, so 4 stars… even though t’was grreat
A lot of super cool moments and steady riffs. Pretty cool stuff but not interesting enough to me for it’s runtime.
Pretty cool, but in today’s time maybe not as exciting anymore. I’m not so sure what to make of it.
I don’t quite know what it is. If got absolutely nothing negative to say about this. Besides, maybe, I wish there was more? Idk.
Didn’t think I’d love this but I kinda do. This has a perfect balance of structural yet wandering elements. Every song also retains their own identity. Liked it.
Tough one to tie a grade to. But I did like pretty much every song. And the three singles can’t be overstated, though they’ve been overplayed to death. I think this is quite the achievement. I’ll give it 4.
At some moments I found myself getting drawn in, mainly due to the production and guitar but overall this leaves me kinda thoughtless. Not the worst music ig.
It was cool. Not that cool.
Gorgeous stuff. Maybe a little too depressing at the end but hey, who the fuck am I to comment.
That was quite a nice listen. Spent some days thinking quite what I’d rate it. Overall I think it doesn’t justify a 4 but it really feels this record gets better with every song.
Another good one by the pet shop boys. I like Behaviour a lot more now but it’s still not gonna get higher then a 3. I like all the songs tho and the increase in energy.
Not really my thing. It’s pretty I guess but it never really goes anywhere for me. Lyrically it doesn’t connect at all either. I respect it and couldn’t recreate it but wouldn’t listen to it.
It’s good. I don’t think it’s for me though. All these songs kinda linger on and outstay their welcome to me. Really solid song writing tho.
I don’t know exactly where this record ends but my opinion will stay largely the same I think. It does kinda pain me to not give this higher then a 3 cause I love this sound but I just don’t think the songs are that impressive. This is what I’d call a background record, and there’s nothing wrong with that but apart from a handful of tracks, this just doesn’t pull me in that greatly.
Yeah honestly (and this has happened only once before) I didn’t finish it, tried my best. None of this is particularly interesting and when something is it’s repeated until you kinda hate it. I don’t think any of this was all that inventive in 2010 either. Idk I was kinda vibing on modern man I remember but that feels like days ago.
This is what they call ‘right up my alley’. Its new wave, its got that punch and its structurally interesting. It might be my taste but theres nothing ive got to critique. I could listen to this easily and i think a 5 is in order.
Nothing sounds like this. Nothing.
This one is pretty good. I like the musicianship and it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Not my thing but a pleasurable listen.
There’s no real big negatives for me here beside I just wish it was weirder, more experimental idk. All songs here know what they’re doing, they’re just all doing similar things. Good stuff.
This was cooler than I remember. I quite like this.
The definition of easy listening. Very hard to rate for me so let’s go in da middal
It’s just so simple or something. The songs never get interesting. Even if it is a style you enjoy I don’t really see these songs going anywhere but that’s probably my outside perspective. I can’t justify giving it higher.
I don’t have time for all this. There’s a number of reasons this record’s placement on the list annoys me, but after listening to it for over an hour, I just don’t want it to take up more of my time. Listenable.
This is probably tailored a bit more for me then most but a lot here is really what i like. It’s silly and confusing and off-throwing and i like that. It aint perfect and not every song dragged me in but overall i think this is interesting original music.
There’s certainly things here I enjoy but… it’s a bit much of the same innit? Like this is all super listenable but it would have been perfectly serviceable as a single album, when it reaches that double phase it’s really not that interesting.
Pleasantly surprised. This had way more momentum and grit than I assumed It’d have. I was honestly vibing the whole time.
This is hard for me to rate as an album experience, I feel like my pupils aren’t wide enough. This is seriously fun and abrasive and perfect rave music. I just can’t get more out of it than just feeling like it’s solid race music, it doesn’t further inspire. It’s also really long…
This is rather pleasurable. I can’t give it more then a 3 cause I don’t think it super interesting but there’s also nothing I didn’t like.
I’ll be honest… I found this kinda boring. I’m usually the last to make a problem out of messy production or structures but I didn’t see any of these songs really going anywhere, just kinda fucking about. Besides a strong opener and closer, I just didn’t find this all that interesting.
This was pretty good. I think it runs out of steam after a bit and it eventually kinda boils into the same-ish 90’s Britpop. Not bad, not great.
Yeah really good. Almost gave this a 5 but I think I’m just drunk.
Vibey sure, great background music. Pretty boring tho man.
This one will forever be one of my absolute favourites. It may not be for anyone, but I could wallow in this if it was 5 times longer.
It’s like, my vibe but in the worst way possible.
This is probably my favourite Talking Heads record I’ve listened to, I’m still not overly impressed though. While it’s definitely groovy, it’s just lacking in diversity imo. The Talking Heads always have the same sort of rhythm and it just keeps going, at least that’s what it feels like, not completely fair. But after all, this is enjoyable music.
Another classic. I’ve listened to this many times, through the years I have started to see some of its flaws and I don’t think every moment here is a work of genius but it is definitely still definitely maybe
I enjoyed this less and less as it went on. The record (in my mind) jumps from serene to adhd a bit too sporadically for my liking. I know it’s prog but I’m not in a proggy mood, and I don’t know when I’d play this.
Very smooth, very nice. I can totally see people giving this higher but it’s just not my kinda music. May come back once in a blue moon but it’s not what I look for.
Yes sir. I’m so stupid for never diving into the police. This energy is really impressive.
the length scared me a bit at first but wow. If i can enjoy it this much sitting on the couch then i can see how cool it is on the floor.
The definition of a 3/5. It’s what I deem lounge music. It’s nice for the background (especially this one). I don’t see this genre ever getting more than a 3 for me. This is as good as it gets.
I’ve never been this impressed with unimpressive music. Everything you’ve heard before, but it’s done so delightfully. I enjoyed it, quite a lot.
really dissapointed with this one as i really like van Morrison and his voice a lot. This is clearly a different part of his career. I don't really see the appeal myself, its very meandering and calm music but at the same time its really jolty. It makes for an experience where i'm bored if i really listen but am annoyed when i don't.
I'm very close to giving this a 5. I can easily listen to this record from front to back and everything works, kinda sounds like a more commercial Devo now and then. There's nothing wrong with this but just cause I think it could be more, issa 4.
I enjoy this. I’m not super into salsa and I think it may be a bit lost on me. But that’s probably just me not getting it.
tough one. I love the blur aesthetic, especially the parklife era and this is no exception. I do think the songs run a little bit out of steam towards the end which leaves me which leaves me a bit in between, but to give it the benefit of the doubt, 4 stars
Honestly, after a third Joni Mitchell record I think i can say: it's good. It's never gonna be on heavy rotation, I'm not gonna gravitate towards it in an emotional moment but I enjoy it for what it is.
I mean, it's Dookie. I get why this record has garnered the attention it has, and I'd give it an easy 5 if I were ranking based on influence. I do think there's better stuff out there, even in Green Day's own discography and it's got to be said it's a rather static record, it just does what it does really really well.
This is really a love or hate it thing, you're either into this energy or not, and let me tell you I am. While not every song is a structural or lyrical masterpiece, the energy this record has is a phenomenal achievement.
