Crowded HouseThis is what pop-rock should be. I really liked this album. Solid tunes all along. One of the best discoveries of the project so far.

Signature Steve Albini production, but the album isn't good. Monotonous, repetitive, whatever you want to call it. I get why people could like this but I don't. It's like they're trying so hard to sound a certain way but failing to do so, because I don't think anyone would want to sound this bad. This rating may be too harsh but I don't think it belongs with the three-stars.
I'm not a hip-hop head whatsoever, but I somewhat appreciated this album. It is so eclectic that it shows some madurity in the songwriting but I find it pretentious in some way too. I'm not commenting on the lyrics as they are always second for me when listening to music; however, I'm aware that this has been praised as some of KDot's best. This is not entering rotation, but it has solid tunes like 'Wesley's Theory' and 'Institutionalized'.
Pure, classic heavy metal. Sublime demonstration of what Iron Maiden is. The production with the bass so loud is magnificient. Such a canonical album for the genre and influential for so many bands. Can I define this as dad metal? I'm not sure. To define this album I can only say that there is a reason it is considered such a classic.
Nicely done 70's blues rock. First half is really good (prolly 4/5) but the second half falls behind. Good album overall, enjoyable and fun at times. Not much more to say.
Banger of an album here. Not my favorite Bowie record but damn. One of his most rock-oriented albums, with classics like 'Golden Years'. Masterclass of creating such a good album with just 6 tracks. Having not heard the album before, the opening title-track just blows your mind. Long live one of the goats
Couldn't get through the whole album. Boring and monotonous Hammond organ recital. I like jazz, this is shit.
Mixed feelings about this album. First half's funky groove is excellent but the second half is flat out boring soul. Decent, but meh. Michael Jackson is just one of those artists I can't connect with.
For a person who's not into folk (e.g. me) this is not bad. I like the psychedelic style. It's almost like if a high on LSD John Lennon met Bob Dylan. Bad thing is, I despise Bob Dylan. Overall, not bad, but not for me.
This is a classic. Too many banging tunes. Stadium anthems mixed with songs that Green Day is not just straight up punk-rock. I could scream the lyrics to the title track while playing it on the guitar until I die. Truly flawless album. Extraordinary.
This would make a great liveshow. Regarding the album... Usable as background music for a hangout or something. Not sure how I feel about this (I don't like the accordion or whatever that is). Anyway, it's an interesting fusion. I can't give this a three, sorry.
Decaffeinated album. It tries to be emotional but doesn't quite get there for me. Seems almost like a 35min song because it is so monotonous. The voice of the guy is pretentious as hell. Not a single word without vibrato. Poor effort though.

WHAT. A. BANGER. I absolutely LOVE this album. It has probably been top5 of 24 for me. I discovered Oasis in Jan24 and they haven't got out of rotation yet. This record is a true no-skips. I love the tons of overdubbing guitars and the wall of sound they create. So many classics like 'Supersonic', 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' and pretty much the whole record is made of classic tracks. Wish I could give this 6 stars. It is that good. SUN-SHEE-INEEEEE.
I hadn't heard much Leonard Cohen before but this is a really solid debut album. Singing-songwriting at its finest. Simplicity reigns in it with masterful lyrics and chilled landscapes. I have the feeling I will come back to this at some point. I can't decide if I should give this a 3 or a 4.
This kind of glam-rock is not my thing. As I would say in spanish: "Hard rock para cuñados". If I had to describe this whole genre I would say it's overdone and pretentious. Just not my thing. Exactly the same thing as GnR or Bon Jovi and that type of things. Hard rock for people who don't know hard rock and pretend to do. Why the hell is there a jazz song in this record?
This album is essential in west coast culture. Even though it marks the debut of one of the greatest, both Dre and Snoop have better records. This album is way too long for my liking, and the lyrics' theme is repetitive, but I get why though. Doesn't mean that it is bad.
I love this record so much. They were Eminem before Eminem. They revolutionized rap in the 80's being white and they drew tons of criticism because of that. It's clear that when somebody is good at something they will get shit. This record is magnificient. I remembered my father showed me this in my teens and it has stuck with me ever since. The rock influence it has is amazing, from sampling Led Zeppelin to writing huge riffs in 'Fight For Your Right'. Landmark album. Even Eminem himself copied the cover art for his record 'Kamikaze'. When the goat copies you, you must have done something extraordinary.
I don't live under a rock, so of course I know Nirvana, but I had never bothered to listen to a full album as it has become this poser rocker thing over the years. My father was a Nirvana fan in the 90's and I have listened to the greatest hits tons of times as a kid. This album is really good. Very marked style. Sublime performances by all three of them. I don't find it precisely easy to listen, so that makes me think that, given the music culture of nowadays, Nirvana is just a fashion brand for 90% of the people you see with their logo stamped in a shirt. After listening to this album you realize why there is such a big mythical aura around Kurt. If only people cared about the music...
Kanye is THE character. I had listened to the classics before but never listened to a full record before (except Vultures, since my Ye-sexual friends told me to). This is way better than Vultures, but still doesn't justify all the Kanye hype for me. I acknowledge that this is a solid album, well made, and real good inside the genre, but I still don't get it. I have had Kendrick and Dre in this project and all three albums are similar in terms of quality for me. I can't put this over them. Maybe one day I'll get this album, but not Ye(t).
There's something about this record. A son of a bitch like Johnny Cash singing songs written with the perspective of a prisoner in a prison in front of inmates cheering. To make it better, the performance is sublime to me. This is the definition of aura.
I don't how I haven't stumbled upon this album before. I really enjoyed listening to this. It kind of reminded me of the Incubus sound I know (I'm no Incubus expert). Pure 2000s alt-hard rock style. No things in particular to highlight but still very good.
Don't even try to tell me this isn't Robert Plant. Jokes aside, I didn't expect to like Janis this much. Powerful vocals all the way. 60's blues rock at its finest. Fun record.
Not entirely sure how I feel about this folk-pop. It could be a 2 or a 3. Too folky for me. This seems an unserious record.
You've got the blueeeees. This is a decent blues, although not exactly my kind of, that's why it's getting just 3 stars. Everybody knows B.B. King, he is the blues. Long live the blues.
I had huge expectations for this one, since I always see it referenced and seemed to be influential and canonical. At first, I was let down by the record, but then I came to appreciate it. Did I expect something better? Yes. Is it good anyway? Yes. This is just a shit-ton of noise but just very well done.
Nothing special, forgettable. Expected more from a Wu Tang Clan member
This album doesn't seem too special. It features the classic track 'Respect', but apart from that it seems like generic soul. Aretha sings amazingly here and it's the only remarkable thing about the record.
This is the sound you get when you think of 70's rock. I know it's kind of like if Fleetwood Mac had tried to do 'Rumours 2' but it doesn't quite get there. Brilliant album.
Taking into account that this is an album released in 1976, it is revolutionary and pioneer. If I was to rate the record at its release it would probably be a 5-star. I can't give it that much now, as there is a lot better electronica out there. I love the ambient parts and that makes me rate the record highly. But the sound of the melodies let me down a bit. This album synthesizes (yes, it's on purpose) a dream of mine, which is having analog Moogs and experimenting with them.
Good, groove hip-hop. Straight to the point. Kind of music you imagine a thug tuning in his car while driving through the hood. I like it, good vibes.
50's country. Nothing remarkable. Well, actually, you've got the thickest accent ever and your guitar is out of tune bro.
Banging record. I had listened tonnes of times to 'Licensed to Ill' but was unaware of this album. Beastie Boys never letting anyone down. Even though this record doesn't have as many hits as 'Licensed to Ill' it is so fun to listen to and just so good. The samples here are out of this world. Somehow Beastie Boys are above any hip-hop record I listen to.
Decent production, but standard commercial 80's pop-rock.
Similar to the other Aretha album I ranked. Heavenly voice but I don't connect with it. I find this record however better. Livelier maybe?
What a performance. Adele is iconic. This is proper pop.
Boring album. I don't know why it is in the list in the first place. It's something I can only imagine people listening to in the deep States. It has nothing.
This album is weird af, but also nice. Nice grooves. Title track is an instrumental masterpiece. Being from 1971 I see how this record made the list but... too weird maybe.
Signature Steve Albini production, but the album isn't good. Monotonous, repetitive, whatever you want to call it. I get why people could like this but I don't. Shoegaze classic. The most organic of the cornerstone shoegaze albums.
Trying to leave the racial implications aside... This is still not good. None of the songs are his. I only liked Blue Suede Shoes and I still prefer the original Carl Perkins version. Elvis was a product that benefited from other artist's work. If not for that song I would consider giving this a 1.
Really solid album. I would appreciate it being a bit more straight forward but it's still good. Don't tell me the intro to \"Clean\" isn't \"One of These Days\" by Pink Floyd.
I didn't know what to expect with this record. It's not bad, but it's repetitive and although it's only 7 songs and 40 minutes, it goes on too long. Decent electrofunk tho. Definitely not bad as some of the other 2 stars I've given before but 3 is too much.
This record is magnificent. You understand why everybody loves RHCP. Band is tight. Flea and Chad Smith are a one-of-a-kind duo. Add John Frusciante to that and you get this. Outstanding. Straight grooves.
Definitely weird. Well made concept album which doesn't seem as long as it actually is. It's relaxed sound and amazing arrangements are the highlights of the album.
Absolutely horrendous producing. Annoying voice. Change that and you get a "decent" album. Also, who the hell labeled this as pop punk or punk rock?
I love the Manics. I like their 2007 album 'Send Away The Tigers' better but this is also solid. You can argue that this is just like any other britpop record (although alt-rock is probably more reasonable), and maybe you're right, but I loved this record anyway.
This being here only tells me that there must be a lot of Bruce coming on this list. Let's be honest, he has far better albums. This record feels like a filler in his discography.
If Linkin Park is a 5/5 band, this must be a 5/5 record. It's just iconic.
I didn't come up with this but, "catchy AND weird?? you son of a bitch I'm in." Halfway through the first song I thought "when are these guys coming to my hometown?". Pure alt record, could have come out in the 90s or yesterday. Good discovery.
Solid album. Doesn't sound like it was released in 1999, 70's psych with 90's production. It's like a more modern version of The Beatles' psych sound. Shame it's not on streaming services.
Certainly a good live recording but not sure I "needed" to listen to this. Seems like a standard jazz club recording. Nice grooves, nice vibe.
I feel like I could have guessed the year of this release first-try. "Default" 60's prog record. Like everybody else here says, first half is good but there is no excuse for the second half. As an album in whole, this is the rating it deserves. Had it been only the first half it would have been a 3 no doubt.
It feels so forced to sound that goofy it is unbearable. A lot of technique, not that much reason.
I like some of The Who's stuff but this is not it. That must mean that there is some more The Who ahead in this path. I found the ad skits funny, which is in itself funny because I hate ads while listening to music.
Nice and enjoyable heartland rock. Short 30 minute record which makes it concise and high quality.
Decaffeinated sound although I like this style. Title track and a bonus track are my reasons to give this rating. Apparently The Who is one of those bands where only global hits are highlights (you can guess by looking at the streams of their songs in albums).
Exactly what I expected, not my sound.
I hate Bob Dylan, like, I hate him so much. His voice is so annoying, his persona is so annoying. I hated him a little bit less after the first half of the record, now I hate him even more.
Definitely not punk. Loved it, so fun. The reggae influences are on top.
Might actually be the first proper DJ-ing record I listen to. Banging grooves.
Not even in my top 3 Pink Floyd albums but such an iconic album. Landmark record both in Pink Floyd's discography and in music history.
