Bit too funky for me, not my genre.
Got a bit bored 😬
Enjoyed the first song
Iconic treasure ✨️
Every song is a little treat
Groovy baby
Even I managed to succumb to the funk of this album.
Bit samey and way too long.
2.5/5
Not the best bowie album. Doesn't have quite the same magic and didn't connect with me in the same way as some of his others. Overall though not a bad album, enjoyed listening.
Obviously some bangers on here, but it's all a bit boyish for me. Not sure we need a whole album of this music, the songs we all know are enough?
The silliness is enjoyable, and impressive vocals. Back in black would be a good one for karaoke.
This album never gets old. What a bop.
4.5
Weirdly I don't think I've ever listened to this whole album in full. Loads of songs on there that I already know and love but also a few gems I've never heard. 'Like someone in love' went straight onto my Jan playlist.
I think Play Dead might be one of my favourite songs ever...?
This genre goes over my head. I've tried listening to this album a few times and I can't connect with it.
I like 'Didn't Cha Know' but the rest becomes background music to me. I expect it would be much more engaging live.
Not for me!
Dreamy, what a voice.
Good one to listen to in the bath, or whilst floating about in a kimono smoking a cigarette and pondering lost loves.
Excessively long (can you call it one album?) but surprisingly enjoyable, listened to about 3/4 of it before I'd had enough.
Country music is awful.
This album didn't change my mind.
A simultaneously sad and uplifting album that can itch the exact right part of your brain when you're in the right mood. Perhaps a tad too long though.
Got me chair dancing while working from home. 'Just What I Needed' was just what I needed on a Monday.
I tried so hard to connect with this but it's just not for me.
Another one that I think would be amazing live, but not something I really want to listen to as an album.

Wow how have I missed this album all my life?!
A dark, bloody, pessimistic view on power, manipulation, god, nature and love, entwined with fables, myths and fairytales.
Not suffocatingly serious though, it's a bit silly, which makes it even better. The lyre of orpheus is a brilliant sarcastic take on how annoying it is to have a boyfriend who's a musician. Too true Nick.
O children will forever remind me of Harry Potter.
The combo of blues and gospel takes you to another world completely.
Very up my street.
I've noticed I always seem to like the Friday albums best, which is great cos I get even more time to enjoy them.
Nice to have an album that is entirely new to me.
Big fan of Segreda.
The whole album a bit trip-hoppy, v dark and sexy. Each song slides seamlessly into the next.
Best enjoyed at maximum volume.
3.5
I actually think India has a point on this one. Bit too heavy on the robot sound-effects for me. Dare I say it... it's a bit boring?
Some classics on there though, 'Around the World' and 'Da Funk' being the obvious good ones.
Amazing album. Vivid narrative and catchy beats from start to finish.
Not overly impressed by his attitude towards women in 'One More Chance', but enjoyed his own description of his dick as 'the cleanest meanest penis'.
Suicidal Thoughts is tragic, 'I know my mother wished she got a fucking abortion'. Damn.
Good to know what a pager sounds like.
The sexy sounds though are jarring, that blow job sound between Respect and Friend of Mine is a bit too visceral...
Boring, sent me to sleep and not in a good way.
Great way to get out of an obligation. Listen to this first thing in the morning and a headache is guaranteed.
Also a great way to trigger nightmares. Could be useful if looking to simulate the sounds of hell?
I do indeed feel like I've been 'Hit by a Rock'.
Uplifting but also sorrowful. Big fan of the title track and 'Sweet Thing'.
Ngl after a while I find his whiny tone a bit annoying, but overall found it an enjoyable listen.
Silly and joyful. Good amount of bass. Felt like I dived into a new world.
Not sure why I never listened to this album given that I know 'Do You Realize??' so well.
Bonus points for the album cover.
Eh... not for me. Too long, didn't hold my attention. Did not finish.
Could this sound any more 60s!? Found it a bit annoying, overly cheerful and a bit jarring. Maybe that's just me being grumpy in the morning...
The 'Wolf of Merry Fortune' is so odd, the lyrics sound like they were written by a child. Is this a spoof? I can't tell if this is serious... It's the only song I like off the album though- I think it could be an excellent feature in a surrealist play. 'DELIGHHHT!'
Album cover is a masterpiece, bonus points for that.
There are some incredible songs on this album, mixed in with some okay ones.
'Wild World', 'Where do the children play', 'Into White' and 'Father and Son' being my faves.
The album cover hurts my eyes. Wtf is that font?!
I decided that as Jackson is dead and can no long do anything creepy/illegal, I would listen to this one.
I've never been a massive fan of his but it's kinda a fun album, if a bit naff.
Some of the songs are actively bad, 'Speed Demon' is awful and made worse by the car sound effects.
'Bad' and 'Smooth Criminal' are okay, wouldn't object to these coming on at 80s night.
It's just not very cool is it?
Some classic on here, particularly 'Blitzkreig Bop' and 'Judy is a Punk'.
Upbeat, energising, a bit silly. Makes you want to jump around.
Bit boyish for me though, all the songs all kinda sound the same as well? I probably won't listen to the album in full again.
I enjoy how awkward they all look on the album cover.
Not my usual genre, but really enjoyed this! Brought the party to my Tuesday morning.
Surprisingly I really like the title track. It's a bit proggy but in a way I actually enjoy!
I came across 'Can You Get That' weirdly because of Sleigh Bells who sampled it. Very very different versions but both are excellent.
Probably not an album I'll listen to again.
I've never listened to this album, only the song 'Birthday'. But it's great! I've been missing out.
Of course Bjork's voice is exceptional and makes anything sound ethereal and haunting.
The album's got a post Punk vibe but somehow is it's own thing completely. Perhaps it's the vocals which give it that edge? It seems somewhat different from a standard post punk/new wave album.
The second half sounds kinda b52s, never a bad thing.
Definitely will go back to this album.
Is it weird that I've never listened to this?
The 60s aren't really my era... it's okay, it's cheery, I could have a lil dance to this quite happily.
I don't think it's the best Beatles album by any stretch.
The sun has come out and Bob Marley is playing. Summer has arrived in March.
As someone who isn't a huge fan of raggae, I still think this album is great.
I feel like on paper I should like this... somehow it just didn't work for me though. Struggled to find any connection with it.
Finally some 60s music I can get on board with.
This starts off bad for me, there's an overdose of funk for the first few songs. But then it flips into kinda naff lounge music?
'Superstition' is obviously a classic, although again, too funky?
There's only so much funk I can take.
Overall not one I'll listen to again.
Coldplay get a lot of hate for being boring, and fair play they are a bit boring. This album has some decent songs, albeit the whole thing now sounds v dated.
It's okay, not anything particularly special in my opinion, it's one of those albums that is very of it's time.
Green Eyes is actually a really sweet song though, enjoyed hearing that again.
I'm a bit confused by this, a lot of the songs are covers and not as good as the originals..?
I love this album. It's got a certain magic to it, 'Knight Moves' in particular with it's medieval vibe. I feel like I'm entering a different world or someone else's mind.
Was already a fan of this one but surprised to see it on the list!
So many hits on this album.
I've never listened to it in full before.
Good one for singing at the top of your lungs at 80s night or in the shower.
Friday albums are back. Incredible voice, and a surprisingly enjoyable amount of saxophone.
I think Promise is better though, hopefully that'll also be on the list.
This album does nothing for me. Sounds like a budget Elliott Smith.
Very enjoyable indeed. Never really listened to much Neil Young, but I'm not sure why because I'm a big fan of this.
Some classics on here. Enjoyable but not sure I'll listen again.
This album makes me think of my dad so it has an extra charm for me.
Nice, smooth jazz, not too pretentious or jarring. You don't need to be a jazz expert to enjoy it.
This album sounds ancient now, I have been transported back to 1999.
When an album defines an era of music you've gotta give it some credit for it's influence. There's so good songs on it, but it's way too long.
Probably won't listen again.
I love it when funk gets angry
Not as good as 'On the Beach'. Sounds like any old 60s album to me.
Starts strong but tails off towards the end. The first two songs are great though so bonus points for that.
Great but a bit gloomy for a sunny day.
Creative, sexy, angry. What's not to like? I love the weird timing in March of the Pigs, it grabs your attention by force. You can't not get into it.
I've had enough 60s thanks
It's no Dirty Computer and it's too long, but nice to have some fun pop to break up the RELENTLESS 60s albums.
I'm in a film, on my horse, wearing a cowboy hat, watching the sunset. All v romantic.
The lyrics are great, each one is a little story in itself.
I lost interest after a while though, a whole album of this is a bit much...
Effortlessly cool, and stupid.
I just don't really get this theatrical kind of rock?
Ehh not for me. V male, v American. Honestly I just find this kind of music boring.
Some great songs on here, but as a whole album I found myself getting bored and a bit sick of it.
Maybe I wasn't in the right mood idk?
Okay this 60s stuff I'm on board with. It's got a slightly haunting energy and it's just generally a bit darker and more interesting than most 60s stuff imo.
God there's a reason why this album is lesser known.
Happy to have a repeat of Elliott Smith. Another brilliant album I listened to on repeat.
Found this to be useful background music.
Not my favourite radiohead, but it's still radiohead
Only morrissey can pull off these lyrics. What a bop.
Not my favourite smiths album though.
Wow I thought I would hate this, and I actually quite enjoyed it! Shocking
Ergh, is this really one of the top albums ever made?? I can't understand this list
Enjoyed this a lot but probably won't listen again. Not my genre
I've not listened to this nearly enough, Pink Moon is usually what I put on for some Nick Drake, but this is another truly exceptional album.
His music feels like its own genre, not just simple folk but something more elevated.
Just v good stuff indeed.
Some good ones, some dull ones
It's no mezzanine, but it's still great. Any song with Tracey Thorn singing on it I'm bound to like.
Found myself enjoying parts of this and zoning out of others.
Only listened to 'We Got the Beat' before, but I've been missing out on the full album! What a bop!
What a fool I am to have never listened to this before. Every song is exquisite, I can't ask for anything more. I've never felt so assaulted by music. Her voice slaps me in the face with emotion. Idk it does something to me, some sort of witchcraft and I'm into it.
Let's take our shirts off and jump about to iggy
One of those albums I've always been aware of but never given the proper time to listen to. It's great!
Quite enjoyed some of this, bit jazzy
Idk what mood I need to be in for this to not be jarring, but I wasn't in it yesterday
Feel like I need to listen to this more for it to fully sink in. For now I'm giving it 4 cos I'm pretty sure I will love it
A true bop. Reminds me of the days of labouriously adding the correct album covers to each pirated track on iTunes so that there were no blanks when flicking through them on my iPod nano. I am old.
It's okay, there's a few good ones on here but tbh doesn't grab me
Again it's okay, doesn't grab me
This sounds exactly as old as it is
Not their best, bit cheesy, but it's still Tracy thorn so I'm happy
Had no idea that Proud Mary wasn't by Tina Turner. Actually quite like this album which is a surprise for me!
There's a few good ones on here but tbh I don't really get beyonce... except for the renaissance album obvs.
Genuinely thought the song 'I want you to want me' was by Letters to Cleo 😂
Not that fussed by the rest of the album, sorry Jed
Surprisingly got really into this mad album
Remember when Dave grohl was cool?
