Franz Ferdinand
Franz FerdinandNostalgia doing most of the heavy lifting here. Mostly just repetitive noise with an affected voice. Some bops though. Take Me Out will never not get me to a dancefloor.

Funky Shit - new to me but liked this one . Some of the transitions are so good. Narayan > Firestarter Enjoyed. Will listen again.
- Behind the Wall broke me. - Had no idea she wrote Baby Can I Hold you - much better version. - Fast Car not the best song on the album (in my opinion)
Musically really interesting - feels distinctly 80s despite using (I think) real instruments, so must have been quite influential at the time. Not really to my taste but can appreciate it's impressive. Once in a Lifetime clearly the stand out song.
Actually thought it got better as it got going. Loved Ogre Battle. Seven Seas of Rye remains an absolute belter.
Excited by the first few songs then realised they were all the same. You can see how some modern songs have drawn inspiration from this kind of music which was interesting.
Talks about being in love a lot. Quite like Rags to Riches This grew on me 3 or 4 I think
Liked that it was something different. Liked that it's a different language but didn't really hold my attention.
3/5 fine
1/5 - not for me. Wrong kind of 80s music
