A Date With The Everly Brothers
The Everly BrothersA short album with fun songs. Probably won’t revisit but an interesting listen from a music history standpoint

I liked this more than I expected. Most of the songs are fun to listen to and seem to work nicely together as an album
Delicate songwriting. The songs can begin to feel very similar and this can seem more like an album of vibes. But I found each song unique and the whole album held my attention.
Liked the guitar lines and the synth accents. The singles definitely hold up. Really enjoyed the album
A bit too folk-y for my taste. Also very long
Bop after bop
A 60s crooner who just doesn’t work for me
Some interesting moments and melodies but not enough for me to find any true enjoyment in this album
Good production. Great voice. A bit too country for my personal taste
A pleasant surprise. You can hear how this influenced rock pop and country today. I think the slower songs began to drag but Big Iron, Utah Carol and Running Gun move
Overall a fine album. Nothing exciting but nothing terrible. Something inoffensive to play in the background
Brian Eno defined a genre of music with this album. I will be the first to admit it’s not a great listen if you are only focusing on the music. But it was intended to be a part of the ambiance and it set the bar for a reason. Great for reading or a quiet walk
Psychedelic to the point of naval gazing
