KhaledNo idea what the songs are about as they're either in French or Algerian, which I don't speak. But great music, I can hear many different influences in there, and couldn't stop my toes from tapping

Maiden are great. In small doses. The main tracks Number of the Beast and Run to the hills are great galloping, pantomime horror lyric fuelled Maiden metal. 🤘🏻 The rest is the usual galloping, pantomime horror lyric fuelled Maiden metal but dull.
Possibly the most depressing album I've ever heard. Someone with a voice that mournful shouldn't be singing unless accompanied by some upbeat music
Sounds to strut to
Great voice but apart from a couple of tracks, all the songs have the same subject. He's left, she misses him and she'll change if he comes back. By the end of the album I wanted to give her a good shake and tell her to get some self respect and stop wallowing
I'm not really a fan of modern jazz so although this is clearly talented playing, it just sounds like discordant noise to me. Wasted on me totally I'm afraid

Classic American rock n roll. I liked the music ok, but not the vocals and the lyrics were samey

Love the quirky lyrics in particular
Could hear Beatles influence, some Crowded House, bit of punk, but most of the time sounded like an out of tune garage band
Mellow and beautiful
Forgot what a classic this album is. MJ's voice is superb and every track totally earns its place on the listing
Some absolute classics on here. Good songs but I don't really enjoy her vocals so not an album I'd listen to
What I think of as lazy Sunday jazz. Chilled and inoffensive with a couple of more upbeat numbers. Didn't grip me but I didn't hate it
Enjoyed the music, quite uplifting.
I didn't like Cyndi Lauper's high pitched squeaky vocals in the 80s, and it seems time hasn't improved my opinion. The album just sounds very dated and jumps between styles, didn't enjoy at all
Sounds like a movie soundtrack from the 60s/70s and in fact that's exactly what it is. Probably would have helped if I'd actually seen the film, otherwise I wouldn't have thought this is just a bizarre album
Love it. Stone cold classic
I don't think I've listened to the whole of this album since I was a young kid. Still a great album to sing along to and I'll no doubt be playing it again now I've rediscovered it
Funky but lengthy
Great voice and a lovely mellow album. Worth another listen
Tuneless and boring
On paper this should be right up my street. But it just didn't grab me at all. Just ok
Sounds like they're trying to be any one of a number of bands from the 90s. Without really achieving an identity of their own. Occasionally, particularly on the more melodic pieces they sound like there's something there but otherwise it's cut and paste 90s indie pop guitar band
I bought this album when it came out. It's still fabulous
Old fashioned rock n roll. If you're fond of a lengthy guitar solo, you'd like this. I just got bored
I always considered Suede one of the better bands of the Britpop era, although pre-Spotify I was never a big enough fan to check out their albums. Really enjoyed this one. Brett Anderson has a distinctive voice with great range and a beautiful tone. Will definitely be adding this to my playlists
If you're a fan of poppy pop then I'm sure this is wonderful
I used to like this album a lot but it feels very tired now
