Fast American punk done well a little poppy but all good and a great band live
Love the title track which has very relevant lyrics 20 years before trump
7 out of 10
Very chilled and easy listen perfect with the newspaper and coffee on a Sunday morning . Issac has a very smooth and soft voice which feels like velvet , enjoyed the album very much and is a departure from my usual listening habits.

Didn’t really enjoy this album , primarily due to the poor production, even allowing for the fact that it was made in 1969 and the number of songs which had no structure and appeared to a product of a jam session .
Appreciate their input to the soul genre and have done some very definitive songs but this does not drag the album past two stars
Not sure what to say , genre not my thing but can recognise that the band are probably good at what they do and the record was well produced and balanced .
It’s hard to like this album as I always thought the Beatles were an overrated band , however I had to force myself to listen to it .
I recognised quite a few of the songs and can understand why they are given the credence attached to them and also appreciate the strength of the lyrics , but unfortunately they do not instilled a joy in me and encourage me to immerse myself .
Therefore it is an unfortunate low score
Never heard of this artist and was pleasantly surprised , a very nice blend of soft female vocals and some very quirky songs which is enjoyed a lot .
As the album progressed I engaged with it more and more and will as a result listen to more of her content
Would not normally listen to listen genre of music but enjoyed its energy and challenge of not dancing a badly choreographed salsa to it ?
Perfect for a Sunday morning reading the papers and drinking coffee and eating a hearty brunch
Not overly impressed , very formulaic in terms of the songs , nothing out of the ordinary and could name a number of post punk bands who have done this better and stood the test of time . Professional production but very forgettable
This is the easiest review so far as I already have this album and love it. Devo have their own style within the electronica genre , I played this loud and was dancing round the kitchen to most songs and such fun to listen to
Nice collection of blues and rock , well constructed songs which are very relaxing and lightly enjoyable
I enjoy reggae in small doses , so wasn’t really looking forward to this album , I know of Peter Tosh but not to listen to . I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was more mellow than most in this genre with the softer bass lines and his very silky voice
Had no expressions of this album , but was pleasantly surprised with the great voice Marianne has and the quality of the songs . Which were both edgy and melodic in equal measure
Obviously Pixies are an iconic band but somehow they passed me by , it is why I enjoyed listening to this album and rated it highly , the vocals were fab mainly because they reminded me a bit of Marcie Smith. The structure of the songs were great and the album raced by and could not wait until the the next track
I had only heard the major singles and was not really looking forward to it as I don’t enjoy the songs , mr Blue sky,etc for me to much use of electronic voicing and don’t like the composition, however I can appreciate the structure of the songs we’re and musicianship but not for me and won’t listen again
No need to listen to this album as I have done so a hundred times before , seen the bunny men live a few times and this is their best album by someways. This album is in my top ten of all albums
Love the cardigans and this album is fantastic but I think the better album is Gran tourismo ,
I have a mixed relationship with U2 , loved this album and Boy and enjoy the early stuff more , however seen then twice first in 1981 (Sheffield) Lyceum ) but went to see the support band ( comsat angels ) but didn’t play , saw again at Glastonbury and wanted to dislike but they were amazing . Great album , that works and is great post punk rock
I was hesitant to listen to this album but gave it a go due to my aversion to country music . This proved to be the case and have to admit to fast forwarding a lot of the tracks as there was nothing ground breakin* in this album and is a johhny cash rip off , or maybe the other way round ? Either way nit for me
King Crimson are an iconic band but have never listened to them , I loved the blend of prog rock and psychedelic undertones , very experimental for the time , haunting vocals and so well put together , very surprised at how much I enjoyed the album as a hole , even if at times it did lose some mommentum
Surprised at how songs I recognised on this album , and Alanis has a very distinctive sound , which is not necessarily to my taste as it’s a bit warily
I can see why it made the 1001 list though as it’s well put together
Classic rock , well made and produced , enjoyed immensely and was much better than I had anticipated
Had no expectation of this album as never heard of the artist and was very pleased with the listen . Big lover of electronic music and this album pushed the boundaries with some cool songs .
Classic blues done by the master , Simple as that , the songs just flowed and sat so nicely in the air the time went and you relaxed and immersed in the quality of the sounds
Nice chilled jazz , well put together and love the structure and pace of the music , proper music for a nice chilled Sunday morning reading the papers and drinking coffee
No brained had only listened to this album last week , as I love it , so controversial and one of the best music videos of all time with two tribes .
In my top 10 albums
Classic soul album by one of the best , has Mrs Fitz favourite song on there top album
Never heard war before , enjoyed the track , well produced and another great soul album and would listen again
Nothing against prog rock but this was a step to far , appreciate the musicianship but tried to combine too much with this album and as a result found it too unconnected , didn’t flow
Hated the voice and the songs , just properly grated on me
Love my punk and The Ramones are one of the originals and only a few American punk banks make the cut ,the DKs being the best of the bunch. This is fast pace and does what I says on the tin and was iconic at the time
