Popular Reviews

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes

Really fun. Blister in the Sun is obviously the major hit here. Good album overall.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Nov 12 2025

Excellent vibes, maybe a little outdated for the lyrics on "Gypsy Woman".

Nov 17 2025

This album has hit after hit on it. Insanely good. Elton John cooked with this one, as they say.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Nov 18 2025

Insane quality as far as music and vocals, but every song went on for about 1-2 minutes too long. I suppose that's disco, but not my favorite aspect.

Nov 19 2025

You know, this album was cool but way too long and maybe not the best? I liked the rhythms, but each song was really repetitive instrumentals.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Nov 20 2025

Not only is Kid Rock today kind of a sleazeball, his music back then was vulgar, raunchy, and intentionally counter to traditional songs. That doesn't make it good.

London Calling by The Clash
Nov 24 2025

Good punk album from long ago.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Nov 25 2025

I recognize it's super influential and famous, but it's not so much my vibe.

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Nov 26 2025

Good vibes overall

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Nov 27 2025

Thrash punk with little vibe

American Idiot by Green Day
Dec 02 2025

I've loved this album for a long time.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Dec 05 2025

Acid jazz, partially in another language, and a freaking vibe. Not a huge fan, but I really see the appeal.

Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 09 2025

It was fine. Edgy, sad, and nice on a good portion of it.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Dec 12 2025

Super weird, kinda fun, not at all bad

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Dec 15 2025

Very enjoyable, and This Will Be Our Year is great.

Low by David Bowie
Dec 16 2025

I didn't expect this album to be so ambient. It's like a mixture of feelings in instrumentals with very few lyrics. Good album overall.

Dec 17 2025

Grungey/punky. Not my favorite, but I can appreciate that it's not bad music. I don't know Mudhoney, so I'm not sure how influential they've been overall. I would say that it's not my vibe.

Dare! by The Human League
Dec 18 2025

Some very fun songs on this one.

Queen II by Queen
Dec 23 2025

Definitely a banger, even with none of their most popular songs

War by U2
Dec 24 2025
Pretenders by Pretenders
Dec 29 2025

More raunchy that I anticipated. Good old pop rock stuff

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jan 07 2026

Beautiful, relaxed, coffee shop vibes, really pleasant listening.

Jan 09 2026

Bangers on bangers. A surprisingly long album, full of great music. It's eclectic because it shows a lot of push and pull between Andrew 3000 and Big Boi's musical aesthetics

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Jan 12 2026

Pretty interesting. Not sure I would have ever found this otherwise

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Jan 16 2026

That was a pretty great album, full of love and fun

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Jan 19 2026

Fun girl pop from the 80s! We Got the Beat and Our Lips Are Sealed slap

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jan 20 2026

It was fine. Very standard sound for Talking Heads, but nothing I super loved

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 27 2026

Bonkers good, and just fun. Bat Out of Hell and Paradise by the Dashboard Light? Heck yeah.

Come Find Yourself by Fun Lovin' Criminals
Jan 28 2026

Good album, fun, quirky for the age, but I probably just didn't understand some references. Another listen with a focus on the lyrics would probably help.

Palo Congo by Sabu
Jan 30 2026

I don't know the historical relevance of this album, but I really disliked it.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Feb 02 2026

Very enjoyable, 70s rock is just really good with the right bsnd

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Feb 05 2026

Yeah, ambiance as an album is neat, but not something I really want personally. Acid trip type noise is all right but not for me.

Feb 06 2026

I liked the vibe here and just listening. I didn't really register the lyrics on the first listen, but the sound was good.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Feb 09 2026

Great fun and they sound amazing live. Really enjoyable with Jailbreak and The Boys are Back in Town.

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Feb 11 2026

Really chill album that is pretty. I guess he's from Crosby, Stills, and Nash?

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Feb 13 2026

I really didn't expect so much political rhetoric, but I enjoyed it. This Irish/English punk is really edgy but good.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Feb 17 2026

Loud Jack White with rock vibes I suppose. Not bad, not my fave, but good quality.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Feb 18 2026

Honestly, I get that it's a cool album, but it really wasn't my vibe. "Clint Eastwood" is the best song, and the seemingly only famous one from the album.

Feb 19 2026

I didn't know this album is where Asha on a 45 came from, and that song alone makes this album pretty good.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Feb 23 2026

Oh, they sold out. But this album is great. The Who are so fun and classic for me.

Cut by The Slits
Feb 25 2026

I really didn't enjoy this too much. The singing was okay, but the instruments were meh.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Feb 26 2026

Sinatra put all of his hits and covers of hits on one album, and it's great.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Feb 27 2026

Really fun and highly similar to things like Bob Dylan? Not sure if that's by design or not.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Mar 04 2026

Great album. I didn't know there was so much blues as a part of it

Harvest by Neil Young
Mar 05 2026

Enjoyable but not markedly memorable

World Clique by Deee-Lite
Mar 06 2026

Super fun with a couple of specific huge hits

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Mar 17 2026

I have no idea if Dusty made these songs, but almost every song was well known or a hit

Hotel California by Eagles
Apr 02 2026

Great! Really fun and nice even though the title track is overplayed.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Apr 03 2026

Banger concept album. So much emotion and heart here.

Black Metal by Venom
Apr 08 2026

I really couldn't make it through the album.

So by Peter Gabriel
Apr 09 2026

Didn't know so many bangers and pop hits were on this album.

1999 by Prince
Apr 10 2026

Hell yeah, Prince.

Who's Next by The Who
Apr 21 2026

Excellent album. Little else to say.

Ctrl by SZA
Apr 24 2026

Great music even if not for me

Dummy by Portishead
Apr 28 2026

Not sure what was going on here

High Violet by The National
Apr 30 2026

Emotional and good

The Man Who by Travis
May 01 2026

Interesting album, very rocky and fun.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
May 07 2026

I've heard Frank Ocean before and like his music. I'm not certain this was an album for me, and this I didn't super love it. Very cohesive and pleasant in some ways.

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
May 12 2026

I didn't know this album was as horny as it was. Pretty good! And it had that crazy hit song.

May 13 2026

If I'm being super honest, this is not John at his best. He maybe was better as a Beatle... That's a controversial opinion, I'm sure.

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
May 14 2026

Not bad at all. Cool rock music at the turn of the century.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
May 18 2026

A lot of ambiance and interesting sounds. Listening to it like 4 times in a row didn't make me love it, but I like Fleet Foxes well enough normally.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
May 19 2026

This was very Americana and older country. Nice.

More Specials by The Specials
May 21 2026

I'm not sure what was going on here. There was a lot of transition between almost reggae to rock? Not great, not terrible.

1984 by Van Halen
May 25 2026

Absolute banger for the just part. Starting with Jump and Panama sets it up to rock hard.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
May 27 2026

Beastie Boys are good but were never super my jam. Good album with fun lyrics.

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
May 28 2026

Really fun. Blister in the Sun is obviously the major hit here. Good album overall.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
May 29 2026

Beautiful, jazzy, and such chill vibes. The singing is also soft and sweet, but I don't know the language.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jun 01 2026

Beautiful! I'm always impressed.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 02 2026

Banger. I see exactly why this guy was a pop rock champion.

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison
Jun 03 2026

Loved it. I wanted to be drinking coffee on a deck in the mountains at sunrise.

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Jun 04 2026

A bit weird. He has a sultry voice but no range. It's more like he speaks without singing.
