I went into this album knowing a lot of songs already. Definitely a lot a heart put into it and they were just doing what they wanted, not trying to do what other people were doing or trying to fill a void in the alt scene at the time.
Definitely a theatrical performance. Altogether I thought it was a really interesting listen. Charismatic, and over the top are words that come to mind. In terms of individual songs, though, I found it hard to pick out specifics that would enter my playlist as songs that I wouldn't end up skipping each time because their one their own type of timing. I still really enjoyed it but don't know what to do now. Might re visit and try to pick out singles that I liked
Usually not super into dudes that sing like this but overall I thought it was a really cool album. Worth a re-listen
I don't usually listen to albums this. Usually more into jazz albums more focused on instruments. I recognize the talent that went into it and think that the album is pretty special. However, I don't see myself re-visiting soon unless there's a real certain occasion that it would make for some perfect background music. My issue with that is that it's a lot more than background music. I really do think it's a great album but from a more casual-listening perspective, I can't give it 5 stars.

Favorite song: I Love Your Lovin' Ways
This album was a really weird one for me. Liked the intro track, then my interest drastically faded in the middle of the album. Cool guitars can only take you so far. The highs were high, but the lows were lower. Can't say I'll be revisiting soon.

Favorite song: As Ugly As I Seem
I am not a very pessimistic person, but I felt that Bossanova underdelivered from what I thought it could have been. Same story as my review from yesterday, high highs with low lows, and I feel the worse parts were a lot easier to reflect on. Really disliked the "surfer music" to start the album. When it was good, though, I found myself restarting the tracks when they were getting near the end.
Fave songs: Veloria, All Over the World, The Happening, Havalina
Rating: 6.8/10
I understand that this is pretty relevant and all and how it's themes are pretty ahead of its time. However, I don't think it was fun to listen to. Not my kind of beep boops ig

Not a big Nirvana fan. Come as you are is a good song though. Got about 1/2 way through.

Fun - nothing overly special.
Favorite songs: Still in Love with you, Dancing in the moonlight

Hated it. Least favorite type of album... supposed to be badass or make you feel cool listening to it, but completely misses that mark. I felt like a dumbass the whole time listening to this stupid pile of trash.
Only reconciliation is that the last track was decent enough if I'm being generous, not even worth my time to go see what it was called.

Listened last week. Another one that's just not my taste. I see why people like Bob Dylan, but his voice just doesn't do it for me. Also his harmonica was a lot all at once.

Fave track: Like a Rolling Stone
Really casual, semi-repetitive, easy listens.
Perfect for where I'm listening at work.
Not a lot of standout songs.

Fave songs: Tiny Dancer, Razerface
Surely this was only played in Hallmark stores in the 80's. I don't think music could be more uninteresting. Being incredibly tame means its not necessarily repulsive though?

I liked it. Very raw and emotional. First time listening to Niel Young. Apparently not his most appreciated album so I'm excited to hear more of his. Idk if its his style but the cracking in his voice makes me feel how shaken up and depressed he was making this.

Fave songs: Speakin' Out, Borrowed Tune, Roll another number
Second album so far that I was already familiar with. Groovy, Jazzy, Cool. My dad always told me growing up that his two favorite bands were Led Zepplin and Steely Dan. I wasn't big into music growing up but the names made me think that they were metal bands because of Lead and Steel, which I especially didn't care for. Glad I gave them a chance eventually.

Fave songs: Black Cow, Aja, Deacon Blues, Peg, Josie
Pretty cool. Powerful vocals and lots of unique sounds. Pretty different each song. Felt like a movie soundtrack
Review: 7/10
Fave songs: Sleep to Dream, Shadowboxer, The First Taste
Not available on streaming made it tricky to listen to with youtube ads all throughout. Throws you right in on the intro track and doesn't stop the whole time. Basically 50 minutes of groovy funk. Kept my head bobbing the whole time.

Fave line: "Chinese Laxatives - Sweet and Sour Bowel Movements"
Pretty awesome and will re-visit

Fave song: Mystic Lady
All sounds fairly similar. Listened at work and it flew by. Nothing remarkable but I think it would be hard to find any real distain towards this album.
Review: 10/10 background music - 6/10 active listen
Fave songs: Lonestar, Painter Song
Sounded pretty cool but didn't knock my socks off.
