1001 Albums Summary

Classic and one of my favorite Beatles albums!

I like Radiohead (OK Computer) but not a fan of this album. Too dreary and angsty for me.

Classic early White Stripes! Not my favorite album of theirs but I love the raw power sound and what seems like some artistic experimentation.

This is the essential Van Morrison album and a longtime favorite of mine! Love the melodies and sweet sentimentality of this album and I think it holds up well. (although, recent remixes of 'Into the Mystic' added an annoying tambourine part that I can't un-hear and I think it detracts from the music)

This is a time machine back to the 90s! Fun listen and this was a new band for me but I don't think I'll ever listen to it again.

I never know what I’m going to hear with Tom Waits, whether by the topic, instrumentation, music style or lyrics. He seems like an interesting person who loves delivering a surprise with each song!

Smoooooth…

I wasn't familiar with this band previously, but they must have influenced multiple bands that followed (most notably, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes, etc). I'll definitely listen again and check out their other albums.

One of his better albums IMHO...

What an amazing voice and it was fun listening to something so completely outside of my usual zone!
