1001 Albums Summary

5 stars if I were high, but with the length and the jam I felt myself zone out for period.

Appreciated the musical accompaniments and genre bending but past the first couple tracks nothing again matches that energy or reaches the same high. Expected a landmark punk classic but it didn’t particularly excite me.

Easy 3-4*. Very enjoyable with short tight songs.

Elevator music for talented listeners. Excellent guitar.

Unmistakably Paul Simon doing Paul Simon things. It’s very good but doesn’t elevate itself past his other highlights.

Quite chaotic but samey

Every time I began to enjoy the music they commenced shouting over each other again. I get that it was bold and innovative but they made the same song 11 times with mixed production. Production excellent to be fair.

A decent album from a time where a lot of popular music sounded similar. Quite enjoyed it.

Couple of stars for a great singer and the songwriters. Minus the rest of the stars for the length. Great for when you have a dinner party with the fancy dishes and don’t want to curate a whole playlist.

Long but enjoyed it much more than I expected

Contains the brevity of song that held back some of his other work, but the highs aren’t quite as high. Little Wing stands alone and the album closer is brilliant.

Just really good fun.

It’s rated as one of his best but it dragged a bit. Eventually the singing becomes stale. Enjoyable in smaller bites.

Songs were short, simple but fun and very interesting. Would listen to more.

I don’t know what it is was. At times it was barely music, but it was intentional and I didn’t completely hate it. Could never say it was boring.

Preferred this to Harvest. Some great songs.

A Radiohead album is still a Radiohead album. People may have been down on it but it still hits the spot.

Massive fan of this album already. Happily listen to anytime. Wouldn’t say it’s one of the best albums of all time but it’s simple, always drives forward, and sounds great.

It comes out hard at that start and peaks there. There’s nothing massively interesting past that compared to many of their other songs.
