Decent background music in a moody bar vibe.

Not a typical genre for me but enjoyed it (hypnotic).

Not much to recommend aside from Superstition.

Strong album overall.

Seminal New York punk. Even better than I remembered and takes me back to my salad days.

Looking forward to this, first proper foray into Radiohead. Let's see, what do we have here. A few strong tracks (enjoyed the one from probably the best episode of black mirror) but a fair amount of filler too. I imagine one that would improve on repeated listens.

Some great songs scattered among others that make more sense in the context of the film but are a tough listen otherwise. Probably best to listen in one sitting really. Why does Spotify say it's over 2.5 hours? Made it seem more daunting than it actually was.

Despicable person and some of the lyrics were a bit weak but overall I thought this was a consistently good album. Stands outs were All Of The Lights and Runaway.

A lovely time capsule of an album. Most of the songs are solid but the ones with Grace Slick on lead vocals are the highlights.

Slightly odd mix of rock & roll infused 90s punk with horns thrown into the mix. Reminded me of a worse version of the mighty bosstones. It was alright.

Enjoyed revisiting this one. Very inventive and eclectic. Eye Know is a phenomenal song.

Went into this expecting a classic three star sort of album where the songs blend into each other but was pleasantly surprised.

Amazing voice and all very pleasant but not really the sort of thing I'd go out of my way to listen to.

I listened to this a few weeks ago when I started my own solo project before joining the Cornwall scheme. I'll repeat my earlier review - Not much to recommend aside from Superstition.

Interesting mixture of genres. Would have benefited being slightly shorter though as it did outstay its welcome a little bit. The album cover was mildly amusing though.

Marginally better than I was expecting (contained a couple of passable songs) but mostly unlistenable.

First Beatles album of the scheme and a nice palate cleanser after the previous entry. Easy five star. Favourite song - For No One.

The eponymous track is definitely the strongest on the album. It really dragged after that. Not every song needs to be over eight minutes long.

Such an 80s album but that's no bad thing. Consistently good throughout apart from I Believe which was boring.

What's my take on this album? Strong opener (probably my favourite song) and expected a fairly straightforward punk album after that but it was actually quite varied. Let down a little towards the end by a couple of the more experimental songs.

Jeez another Metallica album already. I thought this was an upgrade on master of puppets though. Contains the big hit and it was generally more refined.

Not quite what I was expecting but mostly average. Can't imagine coming back to this one.

Never particularly listened to The Doors before but I thought this was excellent. Very atmospheric, bluesy album. LA Woman the stand out track.

Full of nostalgia for me. We had some sort of Strokes compilation CD growing up (one of those free ones you used to get with newspapers) and we played it all the time via the PS1 (only CD player in the house for a while!). Lots of the songs are quite samey but they still somehow feel very fresh. Loved listening to this.

Somewhat reminiscent of the De La Soul album. Very good indeed. Favourite song - Passin' Me By.

First bad one in a while. Boring music and some pretty woeful lyrics make for a poor final product. Total snoozefest.

Mostly good but the last two songs left a bit of a sour taste. Favourites were Sunday Morning, Heroin and There She Goes Again.

Enjoyed overall. First song is clearly the stand out. None of the other songs differentiated themselves too much otherwise but all pleasant enough.

I was surprised this came out in 1983, felt more like the 90s. It was hit and miss. Some great songs (Blister in the Sun, Prove My Love and Ugly) but lots were forgettable.

I wanted to like this more. Listened it to a few times but still don't really get it. There's some good songs here but mostly they're lost in a sea of alarm clock sounds and analogue noises.

Probably the worst thing I've ever listened to. Favourite song - You Suffer.

Very peculiar album that I was expecting to enjoy more than I did. The first rather dreary song didn't really bear much resemblance to the rest of the album. The other songs were okay without doing much to stand out apart from the slightly odd last one.

Used to listen to this quite a lot back in the day. A little bit surprised this was picked for the list because I think Americana is a much stronger album overall. This seems as good a time as any to question why there are no Bad Religion albums on the list. The Offspring are a decent enough band but nowhere near as good/influential as Bad Religion.

Not overly keen on this one. Bridge Over Troubled Water and We'll Meet Again probably the lowlights. Can only assume earlier Cash albums are better than this one.

The album has quite a unique baroque like sound which I enjoyed. However I lost most of my enthusiasm by the end of the almost nineteen-minute long final track.

Can't deny the quality of the singing and the harmonies but would have preferred it if they singing almost any other genre than twee country music. The album cover is quite ugly too.

Never been a huge fan of the title track but otherwise an album chock-a-block with massive hits. Such an iconic album cover.

Enjoyed more than I expected to (thought they only had one song).

Disliked this at first but grew on me after another listen. Some of it is a bit wet but there's some nice compositions and it's pretty unique. Sounds like the soundtrack to a 2000s coming of age film.

Decent enough without any truly stand out moments. I think I slightly preferred Da Capo overall. If I had to use one word to describe the album it would be sentimental.
