Probably would never listen to this again it’s a 1 Probably for people who like ABBA this can’t be more than a 3.5 for fans. It’s not a great album

It’s great for what it is. I’m feeling a 4.5 but I’m feeling generous and give it a 5/5! I Would buy this album Changed mind 4 It’s got some great ballads (Homesick), garage rock with screaming vocals , and even some Psychedelic moments (Mary Jane). The music is part of that Garage rock revival of the 2000’s , but it’s got enough added production and stylistic choices that keeps it from being stale

As others have said this is two Solo albums put together. In my opinion the albums are best listened to separate (not in one sitting) The Speakerboxx section was really catchy and had some great moments but also a few I didn’t love as much. It’s very 2000’s rap , but it’s done at least extremely well. Cut a few tracks and boom this is even better. The Love Below section is all over the place stylistically. This comes off like a modern day Prince for the time. Basically it’s rap music that thinks it’s too good to be rap. That’s not a diss it’s just this is very mellow more soul/funk based and definitely tel has some jazz elements as well. The fact that “Hey Ya” (the big hit) is even here is surprising. This side of the album is definitely a grower, but is interesting in its Bold choices. Overall I Think “Speakerboxx” is a tad more catchy and classic Hip-Hop with some cool things added. “The Love Below” could creep up if in the mood for that style, that album Is a head scratcher but in a good way 3.5 for both (light 4) the length of this album Is really its downside. For an album Like this it shouldn’t work as good as it does. PS - I usually don’t laugh at skits or jokes in music. I try to take art seriously but the guy screaming “Ice Cold” Got me UPDATE I now really enjoy “The Love Below” it’s the More interesting album probably 4.5 but will round to a 5 because this album has stuck with me

Always thought of Queen as singles band and this didn’t change that thought. It’s decent enough but not for me 2.5 ( light 3 at its peak) Song I disliked most was “Stone Cold Crazy”. Not into that style of rock I Enjoyed “Killer Queen” and even though it was kind of goofy “Bring Back That Leroy Brown” had some charm to it . The rest was fine and had its moments

“Alice In Chains” is probably my number 2 amongst the Big 4 Grunge Bands “Dirt” has got a good a heavy vibe. It’s like Metal with almost an Industrial sound (the word Grunge actually does describe it). It’s An album that sounds like , well like “Dirt” “Would?”’is still my favourite track by them. It is just sung so amazing, especially at the end when it explodes. However Every other song is just killer. For heavy songs like this , they have some really good choruses to scream/sing along to 4.5/5

Light 3 maybe 3.5 faster songs were better but I enjoyed some of it

This album is extremely ahead of its time. For coming out in 1975 (amongst disco ,prog rock, and hard rock) this may stands alone. To my ears, this sounds like post-punk before PUNK even happened. There is a hint of The Ramones in there, and of course the 60s Velvet Underground (the album is produced by John Cale). Mainly I hear bits of Joy Division, Public Image Ltd., and The Fall, and even a slew of others That being said this album comes off very arty And maybe a little out of my wheelhouse. I can hear where bands like Arcade Fire and Sonic Youth took from this album. Those aspects aren’t my favourite. Though this album culturally is 100% a 5/5 on a personal level It’s about a 3. Feel bad ranking low but it might be a 4 later but I’m pretty indifferent despite all it accomplished for the future of Music As stated Could be a 4 in future ,but right now it’s neither love nor hate. Leans more to the Love but by a smidge

This is one of the great earlier Beatle albums. This is definitely Lennon’s album as he wrote most of the songs but the few McCartney songs are great as well. In the grand scheme of the Beatles this is a 4 or 4.5. However amongst all other music it gets a 5/5 So yes it’ll get a 5, even though it’s probably not in my Top 5 Beatle albums. However it’s not even close to one of the lowest ones Ps - “Tell Me Why” is a classic underrated track

3.5 decent album , got some good moments. “Wild West End” was the stand out moment

2.5 got some moments but not my style overall. I liked about 3 to 4 songs.technically a 3 but just a high 2

Dreams and You Make Loving Fun are the songs I enjoy. These two songs alone make the rating higher. Now there are moments I don’t love as much but the whole album is listenable and good. Guess it’s still gonna be rated high as everyone else.

2.5 to a low 3. The sound is decent and I don’t even mind this old school rap but can’t see me coming back to much

4.5 the song Pale Blue Eyes is a classic and having Jesus next to it made it even better

I had this hardest time Trying to rate this. I enjoyed it but I know Miles has way better records than this. It’s good but maybe little to old school jazz. Kept reminding me of being in a Ballroom. I was tempted between a 3.5’and 4. Gonna have to go with 3.5 since again this was good but not enough to get to the 4

2.5 and honestly way better than the other ABBA album (a group I don’t particularly enjoy). The vocals are hit and miss but honestly the music is interesting enough with some tracks that couldn’t a light 3. This album could get better with time or simply be just a 2 or 2.5. Time will tell when I revisit it

This album is really really good. Even though it’s not in English I highly enjoy it. It’s got this folk and psychedelic vibe (Reminds me of the band Love). The more fast paced songs at beginning were great and the slower numbers were also good. Now with it being 21 tracks there will be hits and misses. However even the lesser tracks were still good and the musicians just scream “Talented” at their instruments. These are songs that could be in an old school 70’s film or period piece and not feel out of place 4/5 (with lesser moments thought 3.5 but the HIGHS are that HIGH) Extra note the Title track reminds me Of Gorillaz track Hong Kong. Give it a listen and compare. Either way still a BEAUTIFUL song here

This album starts off not the greatest but does get going around 8th track. Will say the Lindsey Buckingham songs are the best songs on here. Stevie Nicks tracks are the ones I’m enjoying the least but could be growers. This has some great moments and good ideas but does have that double album syndrome of throwing everything at the wall and being “Snippets” of song type thing (similar to the White Album) . It’s a solid 3, could go up with future listens or down.

Starts off pretty strong. I enjoyed it but it be nothing more than a 3 for now. It does seem to have more grit than later Foo Fighter releases. It’s pretty good and “Big Me” is one of the best singles they’ve done.

Enjoyed this. Fast Car might be a song that’s overplayed but in this it’s still good. I enjoyed most every other song 3.5

MONSTER SCORE INCOMING. This was fantastic, from the opening track I knew this was up right My alley. The “Off kilter” rhythms and odd vocals were just instant love. The next track had an XTC vibe and can definitely see them being influenced by Eno. Now By track 7 I was thinking do I have a least favourite song and nope I’ve loved them all. Up that point, and thought even if last couple tracks weren’t great it did so much right in the time I’ve been with it Now my only criticism and it’s slight is after “Kings Lead Hat” the album goes into a slower vibe for rest of the record. That being said these slow tracks are AMAZING “Here He Comes” , “Julie With…” (Gorgeous) , and “By This River” are top songs and I felt them in my stomach and to my core. After that there’s an instrumental and we finish with “Spider and I”. I think maybe one having one more Upbeat song before final track would have been nice. As is, the record did Slow down , but did not go out with a whimper. This album is getting a whomping 5/5 (it was so GOOD it might even be like a 6/5) it’s that GREAT and will be added to my Record collection It’s a shame Mr. Eno didn’t do more stuff like this and went strictly into his ambient direction after

Beautiful record . HAZEY JANE is a lost Gem

Some tracks I liked and others I didn’t. A some points I was like this is a 3 and others it was a 2 2.5 (I’ll round up) will listen again and adjust accordingly

She’s got a good voice and rest in peace to a legend but I’m not really feeling it. Good songs in sections maybe but not whole album. Sorry but it’s a 2.5. It’s not bad by no means but not my style. Can see a big country fan this is a 4 For me 2.5

This in my view is the second greatest Pink Floyd album. It stands on its own island because this is Syd Barrett’s one and only album with him as the leader. As far as Psychedelic rock goes it doesn’t get much better than this. The songs can go into more space rock and progressive territory on tracks like “Astronomy Domine” , “Pow R. Toc H.” & “Interstellar Overdrive” Those tracks are really good but what makes this album special are the more nursery rhyme character songs. “Lucifer Sam” bridges both worlds the best. However there’s an even more innocent quality to the last 4 Tracks. “The Gnome”, “Chapter 24”, “The Scarecrow, and the masterpiece in songwriting that is “BIKE” (First Pink Floyd song I ever heard thanks to my 7th grade teacher) These 4 tracks is in my view make this album from really good to something else entirely. This section shows Syd Barrett the songwriter. Which in many ways is unconventional. You will be hard pressed to find anything else that sounds like “The Piper At The Gates Of Down”. Is the record perfect, by no means There’s a handful of songs on there on that I just Find decent but they work in context of this style of record. Each song does something interesting even if the track itself isn't top notch. Even though i can nit pick something’s thats all they are. 5/5 and historically 6/5 for the genre. There’s a good reason you see this album on Top 10 albums of Psychedelic Rock. American had its sounds and this showed how even more left field the British were.

I’m a huge Britpop fan and have always enjoyed Supergrass immensely. They are a band that doesn’t have a bad album. Their whole discography is solid. This album in many ways being there first is kinda hearing them at there youngest and most fun. With so many classic tracks like “Caught By The Fuzz” , Mansize Rooster” and their BIG single “Alright” (remember the music video being at the end of the “Clueless” VHS tape), and even the later track “Time” Is such a beautiful tune and great guitar progression. The lesser moments still keep the album moving and keep the feel. “Strange Ones” is a great song for the losers and misfits for the world. Definitely another highlight with that track and kinda dark Now with my glowing review out of the review, you may believe this is a 5, but to me most Supergrass albums don’t make it past the 4 or 4.5. I think it’s that their songwriting is good and songs are catchy but they are missing that little extra sprinkle of Something to make them as special as they bigger Britpop bands like Blur, Oasis &, Pulp. (I do prefer Supergrass overall more than Suede lol) So that being said I’m going at 4.5 (just missing that extra factor). Supergrass nailed it on their first album and some would say never topped it

Top songs on this album are “Laura” (really catchy intro song), “Take Your Mama”, “Mary”, “It Can’t Come Quickly Enough” & “Return To Oz” (to lesser extent this last one). The more upbeat sexual ones Arn’t as much my thing but decent. The Pink Floyd cover of “Comfortably Numb” isn’t needed at all. If this was its own track put out as a single or dance compilation it’s fine. On this album it doesn’t work and it’s merely ok. Sounds like “Another Brick In The Wall Part 2” with its Disco feel. Feeling a 3.5

This is classic rock n roll and songwriting. The album is very sparse and simple with his instrumentation. It has that early 70s feel. Harry Nilsson has such great range but also a uniqueness to his voice “Without You” has to be one of the greatest sad songs and is beautiful. Then having “Coconut” after is just the complete opposite. 4/5

Kinda a shame this isn’t on streaming. Had to listen to a full album YouTube Link. That almost might have been in this albums benefit as this is very Groove based. The songs go on average 7 min, so you really get locked in. It was really good though the 11 min long track was a little much and think was going for humour aspect. Now I struggled to rate between a 3.5 Or 4 With the added EP on the end with 3 extra tracks which are all pretty mellow really made me consider giving the extra point. I would Put this on and it has a good feel all around Light 4/5

Really good pop album. It’s Michael Jackson at the top of his game. I may prefer “Dangerous” this is still a good album. So many classic tracks “Smooth Criminal” being one of my all time favourites. “Another Part Of Me” musically reminds me of 16Bit video game music (maybe cause this song was in Michael Jackson Moonwalker on Sega Genesis). 4/5

Didn’t know what to expect and was really ended up loving this. 4.5. This album Could easily be a 5/5 in future. The songs do tend to be on longer side but that’s a minor criticism. It has a feel and it sticks true to it. Very Jazzy and Singer Songwriter. “Shadowboxer” was a Major highlight , last track of my least favourite. Think album could of ended 1 track earlier

This is a really great album. It does have a similar somber sound to most of it. However tracks like “Disorder” and “Interzone” break it up and show Joy Division’s more punk side. Everyone in Joy Division is great at their respective instruments. Ian Curtis with his deep almost Jim Morrison voice and amazing lyrics, Peter Hooks melodic and intense bass playing, Bernard Sumner playing some of his best Riffs and Bar Chords , and of course Stephen Morris who’s drumming is basically A HUMAN DRUM MACHINE but even better. This album is really great tracks like “She Lost Control” and “Shadowplay” are major highlights. Though I love this album it is very similar as stated above and I’ve always believed Joy Division's next album “Closer” is their true Masterpiece Still it’s pretty iconic and great overall Tempted with a 5, but I’ll do 4.5/5

Don’t have much to say. I enjoy it but not loving it. Think this album is a grower and could see me loving it more in future. Definitely makes me want to listen to more of The Police Highlights were “Bring On The Night” and “Walking On The Moon” Think 3 but will round up to 3.5 as I feel as stated above this is a grower which usually means higher rating in future

Of the Britpop bands Suede is usually my least favourite, ,that’s not saying they are bad. This album is good but it’s a bit of mix bag in spots Tracks I love are We Are The Pigs, Heroine , The Wild Ones , The Power, The Asphalt World, Still Life. Think my main thing is the album is a little long in spots and is still good but I know I prefer their next album “Coming Up” as it’s more consistent and maybe a little more of britpop record. This one does have a bit of pretentious vibe. It’s comes off a bit Self important and Arty. Saying that sometimes you need artists to go all in and in believe in their vision Probably feeling a 3.5 but will round to a 4 since I do enjoy the band and honestly maybe with more time it’ll get there anyways. The Highs are High and there’s no real Lows but maybe some mid tempo slogs for songs

The bit Darker album from their debut. Great moments are title track , Richard III has an amazing riff , Late in The Day is a good ballad, and G-Song is one of those tracks I love singing along to, It’s Not Me is beautiful longing track Going Out is very Beatles with that 90s twist Supergrass in my opinion just doesn’t make bad albums. Every album they have is consistent and I enjoy their style. 4/5

Started off thinking this was around a 3 but there was enough highlights to make me go 3.5. Definitely would listen to it again Highlights Adam Raised a Cain Something in the night Racing In The Street The Promised Land Prove it All night

It’s a Classic. Was stuck between two scores but decided to go with what it deserves. 5/5 , not a bad track and just sounds timeless.

This was a weird one and very mellow in a way and long songs that went more off feeling and soundscapes in a way. It had heavy moments but it was more for effect Think I’m gonna go 3.5 or 4. Because I’ve never heard something like this really before. Heard hints of stuff but it was unique in a way. Definitely a headphone album and to not listen to these as verse chorus verse “Songs” This album is either gonna be a 3 or 4 but I’ll go higher for now. May edit later after few more listens

Thought 2.5 at first but later on it grew on me. Was getting into the bass and grooves. Title track is a good disco song and a few of the slower numbers were good Light 3/5

When it’s good it’s really good. It can at times Make you feel Like you are at concert However I’m just not a big enough fan to sit through this 2 hour album For multiple listens It gets a 2.5 for me on re-listens, but the whole thing for fans and sound is 3.5 cause it’s good for what it is. Enjoyed this album For years , I’ve always considered a Psychedelic Rock masterpiece. It’s a little Heavier and soulful but with the Happiness Stan story line on Side 2 it goes full on whimsical. The narration in its odd vocabulary and following Stan on his Journey to find the other Half of the Moon Best tracks are Side 1 Afterglow (Of Your Love) Long Agos and Worlds Apart Rene Lazy Sunday Rollin Over The Hungry Intruder HappyDaysToyTown Those are just my favourites it works best as one whole album 5/5

Enjoyed this a lot. Very good instrumentation and loved Nick Caves voice and think I could get lost More in these lyrics on future listens. It’s a bit long but honestly I don’t think there was a single song I didn’t like. Some better than others but overall great album 4.5/5

Eric Clapton has been an artist that I respect musically but don’t overall love. This style of Blues Rock isn’t usually my style but it’s pretty decent. His vocals are pretty subtle which I enjoy and he’s not being overall flashy with his vocals. I do enjoy the causal easy listening feel to these songs. His Cover of “I Shot The Sheriff” won me over Light 3. It’s good but nothing ground breaking for me. Easy on the ears. The Back End of the album is best Top tracks I Shot The Sheriff (music is great) Please Be With Me (My Favourite) Let It Grow (2nd best) Mainline Florida

This isn’t the most ground breaking album but it sounds good and gets a big pass for being a part of the of Early 60s music and sound. I enjoy this style even if “The Who” Have better and more accomplished albums after. Still doesn’t take away from this just being an Enjoyable listen of classic British Invasion music. It may only be 3 or even 3.5 on a scale of their discography and all music. I’ve always liked The Cure but have never deep dived into their albums. This was a huge surprise. They say this album is divisive amongst people but for myself it was instant Love. Every Track is great. They say this album is too depressing but to me it sounds beautiful if just a bit dark. Haven’t read the lyrics but musically it’s great Top Track SIAMESE TWINS 5/5 Will be buying this album

I’m a decent fan of Can and this was ok but wasn’t all there for me. One of first tracks sounded like Yoko Ono at the end. This has some rhythm and can be interesting. It’s a hard one to rate but I’ll go 2.5 but round to a 3 because I do think something is here

There are others albums but this is pretty much a perfect album for me and one I would consider in my top 5 of all time. This album for when it was made STILL BLOWS MY MIND. I think the fact that this album doesn’t have the singles “Strawberry Fields Forever” & “Penny Lane” and is still great says everything I’m a John Lennon fan but this is Paul McCartneys masterpiece when it comes to trying to make this cohesive concept. His first two songs “Sgt Pepper….” And “With A Little Help From My Friends” (sung by Ringo) are the most that have this theme of a fictional band. Next up we have Lennon’s track “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”, which Is a psychedelic MASTERPIECE. The chorus isn’t the best part but it’s good, those verses are pure MARMALADE. McCartney slams it out of the park with his next three “Getting Better” , “Fixing A Hole” , and the beautiful “She’s Leaving Home”. “Getting Better” is great cause it shows McCartney and Lennon optimistic and pessimistic attitudes. McCartney singing “It’s getting better all the time” with Lennon saying “It can’t get no worse”. Perfect showcase of their songwriting and world views “Fixing A Hole” i do not have much to say but it’s another fun song and love the sound of it. Great lyrics from Paul “She’s leaving Home” is a sad and uplifting tale of a daughter leaving her parents behind. McCartney sings the story through the young girls eyes but Lennon’s background vocals on the chorus show the perspective of the parents. It’s a really well rounded ballad After those three we have the circus inspired “Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite”. When I think Psychedelia this song comes to mind. This is another CLASSIC from Lennon. It’s sounds blow my mind and it’s Just has that circus feel. Lyrically it is genius again Next we have the first and only George Harrison song. “Within You and Without You”. This is just Harrison with Indian musicians. This song probably has the most to say about Life itself. It’s a song about Life and Death, and finding yourself through the journey of it all. Some of the best lyrics and underrated song. I’d have some of these lyrics on my tombstone. It’s that POWERFUL After the Heavy emotional song Harrison gave us ,McCartney changes the tune to something a little happy and sweet with “When I’m Sixty-Four”. This is the best of the 3 I’m About to mention. It’s when McCartney “Granny” music works the best Now these next Two is where the album kinda does run out of steam A bit. Of course still The Beatles but these are definitely worst material on here “Lovely Rita” is decent and is catchy but maybe the production isn’t there on this song. Still like the song but this and the next song are definitely the worst amongst the album “Good Morning Good Morning”- Lennon has had two Masterpieces in my eyes on his last two songs. However this isn’t it. This comes off like a left over track from “Revolver” and it’s just decent. Even as a Lennon fan I know this song is a throw away. We try to tie the concept back up with a reprise of the title track and on to the Final song “A DAY IN THE LIFE”. This is the GREATEST Beatle song the ever made. This is LENNON with his Opus magnum. Lyrically and musically it’s a beautiful track of these little vignette storylines. It has some psychedelic imagery in a way but it’s really just word play stuck in REALITY . It goes crazy for a few seconds and then McCartney comes in with a little ditty in the middle to spice things up and after a crazy another orchestral movement we come back to Lennon to finish this track off of this flipping through Newspaper tale. Amazing song. Can hardly be described. It’s final Note after the Orchestration hits the Nail Home. Probably could spent whole review writing just about this ONE song This album is a 6/5 Even its couple lesser moments would be any other bands GREATEST moments. This is the Beatles at their height. They never got any better than this. Thank You Paul McCartney, John Lennon , George Harrison & Ringo Starr for this album.

On the scale of all music it’s a 3.5 but in context of its time it’s really a 4.5 or 5. Gonna round up to 4. Rock’n’Roll

Billy Joel I’ve come around to over the years This is a classic sounding album and simple with just good songwriting. No added unnecessary production or instruments . The Piano Man just delivers. “Vienna” is Classic song. First heard it in the movie “13 Going on 30” And have loved it ever since Didn’t even know Billy Joel sang “Only The Good Die Young”. Timeless song, maybe a bit overplayed but works well with the album Feeling a 4 or light 4.5. Just good songwriting and sounds simple even if it isn’t

I don’t know how to really rate this at lowest it’s 2.5 at its highest for me it might be a 3.5 with multiple listens. It definitely going for something just not sure if that something is for me DRY is best track. Light 3/5

This is just a great sounding album and honestly is an album I went out and bought after hearing it. Title track, Passenger, and Tonight are Classic 4/5

Don’t have much to say not really into this kinda folk. I like it sparingly but a whole album is bit much. Spots reminded me of a lesser Jefferson Airplane. 2.5 or light 3

One of my least favourite artists. He can Rap, but I do not like his lyrics or style. “Stan”is the only good song on this album and there’s a couple that have decent beats chore to listen to 1.5/5

Love this a lot. Reminds me of a more Punky version of the Replacements. Good on Australia for this one. Will Buy this album 4/5

Really good album and I’m gonna round up. To be fair I think it’s more a 3.5 than a 4 but it’s close. It’s just a good Sounding album and “Maggie May”’is one of the greatest singles of all time. Gonna rate 4 but it’s more like 3.8. It’s Just not all there for me

The Fall are a Post-Punk I enjoy and sparingly listen to their stuff. I got into them through the Gorillaz with a Mark E Smith (lead singer) featured song “Glitter Freeze”. Now for post punk bands I will say I prefer Joy Division and Public Image LTD. The Fall have a wide variety of albums so I know I prefer some of their later 80s stuff more. This one is considered their most popular and I do enjoy it but it’s not quite there for me. It’s a light 3.5 , leaning more towards the 3 but it’s got some good stuff The riff in “Barmy” is amazing and I really loved the slowed down feel of “L.A”, and the Can inspired “ I Am Damo Suzuki”. Other tracks I enjoyed to a lesser extent were “My New House” & “Paintwork” 3.5

This was one of the best Hip-Hop albums we got. Love the classic beats and samples. Enjoyed Bonita Applebum, Can I Kick it? (with Lou Reed sample), Rhythm, Mr. Muhammad, and Go ahead in the rain. Listened to this album on a walk and perfect for a stroll around in the fall. 4/5

This is a good sounding folk album. For a bit I thought it was from the mid 2000’s. Surprised this was from 1998. Now while listening I was stuck between a high 3 or even a 3.5. Was landing on 3.5 but once I read into the album and realized these are lyrics by the folk legend WOODY GUTHRIE. Put to music mainly written by Billy Bragg. That made me have to knock it up another notch. Plus the second half of the album gets better than first half. Definitely think Last 5 tracks there isn’t a Miss. Really Cool concept Light 4/5

2009 but let’s just say this is the 2010. In my opinion this is when music started getting interesting again after some non stellar stuff of the early 2000’s. The production is good and subtle. Vocals are nice However it does kinda just drift in and out , with maybe a few guitar lines. Definitely seems like another album that’s needs extra listens to let the songs marinate in your head. What the hell happened to SUGAR RAY All jokes aside this album was kinda a roller coaster and not always in the best way. The first track “If I Had Heart”has a similar vocal melody on its chorus to the Nirvana track “You Know You’re Right”. Not a bad thing just very similar The first 4 tracks I found pretty enjoyable and the vocals reminded me of a a Female version of the band Animal Collective However after that it just sort of became diminishing returns. It started going into a more Björk sound which I’m pretty mid on vocally Was going between a 2.5 or 3 and honestly the quality and my tolerance of it just wore thin as it kept going. 2.5 but gonna round down to a 2. Sounds terrible but think this album would be more enjoyable as an instrumental electronic album. Might be a high 3 or 3.5 if so.

“Immigrant Song” I enjoy enough on a catchy level. It’s almost got an early heavy metal vibe with its lyrics and sound. Little goofy but it’s fun There’s a song by Moby Grape called “Never” that “Since I’ve Been Loving You” ripped off some of the lyrics from. Prefer the Moby Grape song but this isn’t terrible. If I would have heard this song first maybe I’d like it more. The instrumental is good but Robert’s voice does grate on me when he goes really high pitched That’s The Way was definitely my favourite track and I enjoyed the next one Overall 3.5/5. I’m not a big Led Zeppelin fan but I’ll Admit when an album does its job well.

Classic Pink Floyd album. They have others I enjoy more but honestly this really nothing wrong with this “Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-V” and the title track are both classics but honestly I think the song that makes the album stand out even more for myself is “Welcome To The Machine” it’s the song that made me buy this album back in the day in the first place. “Half A Cigar” is a good fun track but think this type of song was done better on “Animals” album with “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” but this is still great The next section of “Shine On Your Crazy Diamond” to end the album is good but isn’t as great as first time around. Definitely weakest track but again still good Gonna go 4.5/5

Don’t listen to this album often but when I do I always remember why it’s one of the greats Rap albums ever. Though I prefer Snoop Dogg’s album “Doggystyle”. That wouldn’t exist without Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic” Nuthin’ But A “G” Thang has to one of the most classic Rap singles. This album is basically Dre’s amazing production and beats with Snoop’s cool and smooth flow over these tracks. 4.5/5 Only real criticism is some of the lines get reused on “Doggystyle” so I’m Used to those tracks. Even though this came out first.

It’s fine kinda reminds me of Sea Shanties. Not my style, it all bleeds into each other. 2.5 ( closer to 2) Maybe it would grow on me and like some tracks but honestly it’s not my style at all. Couple moments are good but I REALLY don’t like Sea Shanties ,even if this isn’t quite that. ITS ALSO JUST WAY TO LONG I Need 6 Guinness in me to love this album “Lullaby Of London” & “Turkish Song Of The Damned” are Stand Out Tracks I’m Honestly giving it a 2.5 on merit alone, for me personally it’s a 1. I won’t do it dirty since it’s played well and for someone else this is their thing.

It’s fine and easy listening. Won’t probably remember most of it. I Can see me liking a song or two if It came on playlist or thrown on randomly. Pretty one note but inoffensive 2.5 to a Light 3/5

We had Michael’s album “Bad” earlier in the list, whilst that album is really Good, “Off The Wall” is on another level. This album doesn’t have the pressure of following up “Thriller” and it’s also pre that insanity. This is just a GREAT late Disco album but done in Michael Jackson’s style. “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” & “Rock With You” are a 1 ,2, PUNCH on this album and describe kinda the rest of the trajectory. First is the fun fast song and the other is the smooth but groovy track. “She’s Out Of My Life” could be seen as Corny but it has a moment near the end where Michael just Screams it out on a note. “Girlfriend” is the Paul McCartney written song (he’d later feature on Thriller) and it’s kinda goofy but Michael just sells it, his vocals really make a song This is a classic album and even if I’m nitpicking it’s just nitpicks “Thriller” has the overplayed tracks but is still great “Bad” is a good follow up but lacking in way “Dangerous” is my personal favourite track wise but is way too long and not consistent But “Off The Wall” is just a great album and doesn’t have all the hype that some of the other releases had. This is Michael in his Youth still figuring it out before MEGA STARDOM. Let’s just say he figured out a lot on this record. 5/5

This is pretty decent RnB album, don’t have much to say but it did sound good and gonna go a 3.5/5 Round down for now but could reach a 4

I’ve always been more a Lennon and Harrison fan when it comes to solo stuff. However this is one of McCartneys best albums of the 70’s. It does start off really strong with the two singles “Band On The Run” and “Jet”. Both are classics but I think I prefer “Jet” nowadays. “Bluebird” has a mellow 70’s vibe that is smooth and easy listening. It’s not “Blackbird” but it doesn’t have to be After this point I don’t think the Highs are as good. “Mrs. Vandebilt” has that trying to be a hit thing that McCartney likes to do (Maxwells Silver Hammer or Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da” for examples) it’s fine but not a favourite “Let Me Roll It” is a good dumb fun song. It’s Simple and direct “Picasso’s Last Words (Drink To Me)” almost has a late Kinks feel and this track in view saves this album from being about the first 3 songs only. I Really enjoy it , though shoehorning in bits from previous tracks is a hit or miss element. It Doesn’t take away from the track from being enjoyable If the album kept to first few tracks standards this could easily be a 5, but it does falter to just be a good sounding album McCartney will always be about the singles more than the albums. Least in the 70’s. Not to compare but “All Things Must Pass” & “Plastic Ono Band” are better “Albums” but that doesn’t erase the fact that McCartney was the king at writing an Ear-worm. Hence him having 9 Number 1 solo hits. His other solo album “Ram” is also very good, and when that comes up might be ranked even higher 4/5

This is a classic album. The other CCR album we had “Bayou County” was good but this takes the songwriting to another level. The big songs with “Green River”, “Bad Moon Rising”, and “Lodi” are all fantastic but it’s the track “Wrote A Song For Everyone” that touched me with its lyrics and how it’s sung

The Replacements are one of those bands who have the Punk attitude but know how to write a catchy melody In spite of themselves. “Androgynous” & “Unsatisfied” (especially the later) are easily worth price of admission into this album. These are a couple slower numbers but convey so much emotion. You can feel the pain in “Unsatisfied” with each sung line. “Androgynous” is a song I feel about blurring the lines with how Male and Females dress and how they can wear each other’s clothing while still being themselves and gender. Clothing shouldn’t define who you are or how you feel. There’s still definitely dumb rockers on here like “Gary’s Got A Boner” but even other faster tracks like opener “I Will Dare” & and “Favorite Thing” keep the upbeat vibe with catchy guitar and vocal melodies. These guys deserved more success buts it’s almost better they are this hidden diamond in the rough 4.5/5

This album I sometimes look at through its high moments and stand out tracks than a whole. “Debaser” , “Monkey Gone To Heaven” , “Here Comes Your Man”, and the greatest track on here “Hey” (Featured in Kevin Smith film “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” to great effect) Everything else on here is good in similar regard but those stand out moments make this album. The other songs are quick and to the point and have Energy. 4/5 (could be 5, but going High 4, not quiet 4.5 either yet)

The fire song “Good Times” is a good single driven by its amazing Bass line and nice wah wah Guitar in the back “A Warm Summer Night” is mellow slowish song that just washes over you. Really like this song Now a lot of the songs are on the longer side but it makes you get stuck in their grooves and with it being only 37 mins overall the albums on shorter side. Either keep some of these longer or shorten them and add couple more tracks. Think for this type of music sometimes Longer tracks work more times than not. “My Feet Keep Dancing” isn’t one of those times , for me. After two long songs it might of been time to go with a shorter track and move this one down the track list Think overall the tracks could use a little More variety. I love the groove based as said above but most songs start one way and keep To that sound through whole run time. Few bridges could of helped make these songs more fleshed out High 3.5/5 (Close to 4 but not there) I’ll round up anyways , cause it doesn’t over stay its welcome

I feel like this is an album I’d like more than I did. It’s inoffensive and kinda just goes by. Nothing was bad but nothing really stuck out either. Maybe with more listens these songs will stick. Couple tracks better than others but everything was on par with each other Giving this a 3/5 (close to a 3.5)

The title track might be my favourite of all the AC/DC singles (this and TNT). This is just old school Heavy Rock music. If you know AC/DC it’s what you are getting. Not a huge fan of this band but I enjoyed my time with this. The sad loss of Bon Scott is felt for me personally. His vocals make a band I find grating afterwards to a least listenable on their earlier releases. Definitely prefer this over “Back In Black” and because it has my favourite single and most of the tracks are decent I’ll go 3.5/5 Top Tracks Highway To Hell Girls Got Rhythm Beating Around The Bush Night Prowler

The have an album in my personal collection that I prefer. This is still decent but the songs are on the longer side. Which is to be expected for this kinda Indie Dance Music. Someone’s Great, All My Friends , Sound Of Silver and the mellow New York , I Love You But You’re Brining Me Down (which is the one ballad on here and my favourite track) great closing track) Overall it’s more than a 3 probably a 3.25. Would listen again but have to be in the mood. The songs could be cut down a bit but again that’s Dance Music for ya.

“White Dress” has been stuck in my head since I’ve first heard it. This album is very mellow electronic tinged pop and is best listened to on headphones and even reading some of the lyrics. Lana has a singing style where sometimes her words get lost in her whisper. “Let Me Love You Like A Woman” sounds similar more like Older Lana Del Rey. She’s singing this one out more “Wild At Heart” is the strong ballad. Another Stand out I feel this is very good album but will Depending on mood. Light 4/5. Will check out more of her work
