Probably for people who like ABBA this can’t be more than a 3.5 for fans. It’s not a great album
It’s great for what it is. I’m feeling a 4.5 but I’m feeling generous and give it a 5/5! I Would buy this album

It’s got some great ballads (Homesick), garage rock with screaming vocals , and even some Psychedelic moments (Mary Jane). The music is part of that Garage rock revival of the 2000’s , but it’s got enough added production and stylistic choices that keeps it from being stale
As others have said this is two Solo albums put together. In my opinion the albums are best listened to separate (not in one sitting)
The Speakerboxx section was really catchy and had some great moments but also a few I didn’t love as much. It’s very 2000’s rap , but it’s done at least extremely well. Cut a few tracks and boom this is even better.
The Love Below section is all over the place stylistically. This comes off like a modern day Prince for the time. Basically it’s rap music that thinks it’s too good to be rap. That’s not a diss it’s just this is very mellow more soul/funk based and definitely tel has some jazz elements as well. The fact that “Hey Ya” (the big hit) is even here is surprising. This side of the album is definitely a grower, but is interesting in its Bold choices.
Overall I Think “Speakerboxx” is a tad more catchy and classic Hip-Hop with some cool things added. “The Love Below” could creep up if in the mood for that style, that album
Is a head scratcher but in a good way
3.5 for both (light 4) the length of this album

Always thought of Queen as singles band and this didn’t change that thought. It’s decent enough but not for me
2.5 ( light 3 at its peak)
Song I disliked most was “Stone Cold Crazy”. Not into that style of rock
I Enjoyed “Killer Queen” and even though it was kind of goofy “Bring Back That Leroy Brown” had some charm to it . The rest was fine and had its moments
“Alice In Chains” is probably my number 2 amongst the Big 4 Grunge Bands
“Dirt” has got a good a heavy vibe. It’s like Metal with almost an Industrial sound (the word Grunge actually does describe it). It’s An album that sounds like , well like “Dirt”
“Would?”’is still my favourite track by them. It is just sung so amazing, especially at the end when it explodes. However Every other song is just killer. For heavy songs like this , they have some really good choruses to scream/sing along to

Light 3 maybe 3.5 faster songs were better but I enjoyed some of it
This album is extremely ahead of its time. For coming out in 1975 (amongst disco ,prog rock, and hard rock) this may stands alone.
To my ears, this sounds like post-punk before PUNK even happened. There is a hint of The Ramones in there, and of course the 60s Velvet Underground (the album is produced by John Cale). Mainly I hear bits of Joy Division, Public Image Ltd., and The Fall, and even a slew of others
That being said this album comes off very arty And maybe a little out of my wheelhouse.
I can hear where bands like Arcade Fire and Sonic Youth took from this album. Those aspects aren’t my favourite. Though this album culturally is 100% a 5/5 on a personal level It’s about a 3. Feel bad ranking low but it might be a 4 later but I’m pretty indifferent despite all it accomplished for the future of Music
As stated Could be a 4 in future ,but right now it’s neither love nor hate. Leans more to the Love but by a smidge

This is one of the great earlier Beatle albums. This is definitely Lennon’s album as he wrote most of the songs but the few McCartney songs are great as well. In the grand scheme of the Beatles this is a 4 or 4.5. However amongst all other music it gets a 5/5
So yes it’ll get a 5, even though it’s probably not in my Top 5 Beatle albums. However it’s not even close to one of the lowest ones
Ps - “Tell Me Why” is a classic underrated track
3.5 decent album , got some good moments. “Wild West End” was the stand out moment
2.5 got some moments but not my style overall. I liked about 3 to 4 songs.technically a 3 but just a high 2
Dreams and You Make Loving Fun are the songs I enjoy. These two songs alone make the rating higher. Now there are moments I don’t love as much but the whole album is listenable and good. Guess it’s still gonna be rated high as everyone else.
2.5 to a low 3. The sound is decent and I don’t even mind this old school rap but can’t see me coming back to much
4.5 the song Pale Blue Eyes is a classic and having Jesus next to it made it even better
I had this hardest time
Trying to rate this. I enjoyed it but I know Miles has way better records than this. It’s good but maybe little to old school jazz. Kept reminding me of being in a Ballroom.
I was tempted between a 3.5’and 4. Gonna have to go with 3.5 since again this was good but not enough to get to the 4
2.5 and honestly way better than the other ABBA album (a group I don’t particularly enjoy). The vocals are hit and miss but honestly the music is interesting enough with some tracks that couldn’t a light 3. This album could get better with time or simply be just a 2 or 2.5. Time will tell when I revisit it
This album is really really good. Even though it’s not in English I highly enjoy it. It’s got this folk and psychedelic vibe (Reminds me of the band Love). The more fast paced songs at beginning were great and the slower numbers were also good. Now with it being 21 tracks there will be hits and misses. However even the lesser tracks were still good and the musicians just scream “Talented” at their instruments. These are songs that could be in an old school 70’s film or period piece and not feel out of place
4/5 (with lesser moments thought 3.5 but the HIGHS are that HIGH)

This album starts off not the greatest but does get going around 8th track. Will say the Lindsey Buckingham songs are the best songs on here. Stevie Nicks tracks are the ones I’m enjoying the least but could be growers. This has some great moments and good ideas but does have that double album syndrome of throwing everything at the wall and being “Snippets” of song type thing (similar to the White Album) . It’s a solid 3, could go up with future listens or down.
Starts off pretty strong. I enjoyed it but it be nothing more than a 3 for now. It does seem to have more grit than later Foo Fighter releases. It’s pretty good and “Big Me” is one of the best singles they’ve done.
Enjoyed this. Fast Car might be a song that’s overplayed but in this it’s still good. I enjoyed most every other song 3.5
MONSTER SCORE INCOMING. This was fantastic, from the opening track I knew this was up right My alley. The “Off kilter” rhythms and odd vocals were just instant love. The next track had an XTC vibe and can definitely see them being influenced by Eno.
Now By track 7 I was thinking do I have a least favourite song and nope I’ve loved them all. Up that point, and thought even if last couple tracks weren’t great it did so much right in the time I’ve been with it
Now my only criticism and it’s slight is after “Kings Lead Hat” the album goes into a slower vibe for rest of the record. That being said these slow tracks are AMAZING “Here He Comes” , “Julie With…” (Gorgeous) , and “By This River” are top songs and I felt them in my stomach and to my core.
After that there’s an instrumental and we finish with “Spider and I”. I think maybe one having one more Upbeat song before final track would have been nice. As is, the record did
Slow down , but did not go out with a whimper. This album is getting a whomping 5/5 (it was so GOOD it might even be like a 6/5) it’s that GREAT and will be added to my Record collection
It’s a shame Mr. Eno didn’t do more stuff like this and went strictly into his ambient direction after

She’s got a good voice and rest in peace to a legend but I’m not really feeling it. Good songs in sections maybe but not whole album. Sorry but it’s a 2.5. It’s not bad by no means but not my style. Can see a big country fan this is a 4

This in my view is the second greatest Pink Floyd album. It stands on its own island because this is Syd Barrett’s one and only album with him as the leader.
As far as Psychedelic rock goes it doesn’t get much better than this. The songs can go into more space rock and progressive territory on tracks like “Astronomy Domine” ,
“Pow R. Toc H.” & “Interstellar Overdrive”
Those tracks are really good but what makes this album special are the more nursery rhyme character songs. “Lucifer Sam” bridges both worlds the best. However there’s an even more innocent quality to the last 4 Tracks. “The Gnome”, “Chapter 24”, “The Scarecrow, and the masterpiece in songwriting that is “BIKE” (First Pink Floyd song I ever heard thanks to my 7th grade teacher)
These 4 tracks is in my view make this album from really good to something else entirely. This section shows Syd Barrett the songwriter. Which in many ways is unconventional. You will be hard pressed to find anything else that sounds like “The Piper At The Gates Of Down”.
Is the record perfect, by no means There’s a handful of songs on there on that I just Find decent but they work in context of this style of record. Each song does something interesting even if the track itself isn't top notch. Even though i can nit pick something’s thats all they are. 5/5 and historically 6/5 for the genre.
There’s a good reason you see this album on Top 10 albums of Psychedelic Rock. American had its sounds and this showed how even more left field the British were.

I’m a huge Britpop fan and have always enjoyed Supergrass immensely. They are a band that doesn’t have a bad album. Their whole discography is solid. This album in many ways being there first is kinda hearing them at there youngest and most fun.
With so many classic tracks like “Caught By The Fuzz” , Mansize Rooster” and their BIG single “Alright” (remember the music video being at the end of the “Clueless” VHS tape), and even the later track “Time” Is such a beautiful tune and great guitar progression. The lesser moments still keep the album moving and keep the feel. “Strange Ones” is a great song for the losers and misfits for the world. Definitely another highlight with that track and kinda dark
Now with my glowing review out of the review, you may believe this is a 5, but to me most Supergrass albums don’t make it past the 4 or 4.5.
I think it’s that their songwriting is good and songs are catchy but they are missing that little extra sprinkle of Something to make them as special as they bigger Britpop bands like Blur, Oasis &, Pulp. (I do prefer Supergrass overall more than Suede lol)
So that being said I’m going at 4.5 (just missing that extra factor). Supergrass nailed it on their first album and some would say never topped it
Top songs on this album are “Laura” (really catchy intro song), “Take Your Mama”, “Mary”, “It Can’t Come Quickly Enough” & “Return To Oz” (to lesser extent this last one).
The more upbeat sexual ones Arn’t as much my thing but decent. The Pink Floyd cover of “Comfortably Numb” isn’t needed at all. If this was its own track put out as a single or dance compilation it’s fine. On this album it doesn’t work and it’s merely ok. Sounds like “Another Brick In The Wall Part 2” with its Disco feel.
Feeling a 3.5
This is classic rock n roll and songwriting. The album is very sparse and simple with his instrumentation. It has that early 70s feel. Harry Nilsson has such great range but also a uniqueness to his voice
“Without You” has to be one of the greatest sad songs and is beautiful. Then having “Coconut” after is just the complete opposite.

Kinda a shame this isn’t on streaming. Had to listen to a full album YouTube Link. That almost might have been in this albums benefit as this is very Groove based.
The songs go on average 7 min, so you really get locked in. It was really good though the 11 min long track was a little much and think was going for humour aspect.
Now I struggled to rate between a 3.5

With the added EP on the end with 3 extra tracks which are all pretty mellow really made me consider giving the extra point. I would Put this on and it has a good feel all around

It’s fine but it’s not my favourite band and can’t see me putting it on. Gonna go 2.5. It’s listenable and not bad just not for me.
Really good pop album. It’s Michael Jackson at the top of his game. I may prefer “Dangerous” this is still a good album. So many classic tracks “Smooth Criminal” being one of my all time favourites.
“Another Part Of Me” musically reminds me of 16Bit video game music (maybe cause this song was in Michael Jackson Moonwalker on Sega Genesis).

Didn’t know what to expect and was really ended up loving this. 4.5. This album
Could easily be a 5/5 in future. The songs do tend to be on longer side but that’s a minor criticism. It has a feel and it sticks true to it. Very Jazzy and Singer Songwriter.

This is a really great album. It does have a similar somber sound to most of it. However tracks like “Disorder” and “Interzone” break it up and show Joy Division’s more punk side.
Everyone in Joy Division is great at their respective instruments. Ian Curtis with his deep almost Jim Morrison voice and amazing lyrics, Peter Hooks melodic and intense bass playing, Bernard Sumner playing some of his best Riffs and Bar Chords , and of course Stephen Morris who’s drumming is basically A HUMAN DRUM MACHINE but even better.
This album is really great tracks like “She Lost Control” and “Shadowplay” are major highlights.
Though I love this album it is very similar as stated above and I’ve always believed Joy Division's next album “Closer” is their true Masterpiece
Still it’s pretty iconic and great overall

Don’t have much to say. I enjoy it but not loving it. Think this album is a grower and could see me loving it more in future. Definitely makes me want to listen to more of The Police

Of the Britpop bands Suede is usually my least favourite,
,that’s not saying they are bad. This album is good but it’s a bit of mix bag in spots
Tracks I love are We Are The Pigs, Heroine , The Wild Ones , The Power, The Asphalt World, Still Life.
Think my main thing is the album is a little long in spots and is still good but I know I prefer their next album “Coming Up” as it’s more consistent and maybe a little more of britpop record. This one does have a bit of pretentious vibe. It’s comes off a bit Self important and Arty. Saying that sometimes you need artists to go all in and in believe in their vision
Probably feeling a 3.5 but will round to a 4 since I do enjoy the band and honestly maybe with more time it’ll get there anyways. The Highs are High and there’s no real Lows but maybe some mid tempo slogs for songs

Great moments are title track , Richard III has an amazing riff , Late in The Day is a good ballad, and G-Song is one of those tracks I love singing along to, It’s Not Me is beautiful longing track
Going Out is very Beatles with that 90s twist
Supergrass in my opinion just doesn’t make bad albums. Every album they have is consistent and I enjoy their style.

This was a weird one and very mellow in a way and long songs that went more off feeling and soundscapes in a way. It had heavy moments but it was more for effect
Think I’m gonna go 3.5 or 4. Because I’ve never heard something like this really before. Heard hints of stuff but it was unique in a way. Definitely a headphone album and to not listen to these as verse chorus verse “Songs”
This album is either gonna be a 3 or 4 but I’ll go higher for now. May edit later after few more listens
