1001 Albums Summary

I have listened to this album before. I went through a rolling stones "phase". Not my favourite of their albums, but Sympathy for the devil is an amazing track.

Always been a fan of Cohen, my mam would regularly play his early works. I had never actually checked out this album, glad I now I have.

Pretty cool.

I see why people know the big abba songs and not much else

Another album I've listened to a few times before, great stuff, love his banter with the prisoners at times. I personally prefer San Quentin, but only by a margin.

Not my favourite James Brown album, but still a good one.

Somehow I never heard of the shoegaze genre before.

I appreciated some of what they were going for, it just didn't click with me. I almost feel bad giving it a 2, but there is no 2.5 option, and I wouldn't give it a 3 from me.

Love me some Funkadelic, this was such an ear worm on the day I listened to it.

I never listened to this album of his before, good stuff.

Some of the songs are great, some of the songs are not so great. Pusherman, Give me your love, and Superfly really carried this album for me.

A classic for a reason. I love so much of this album. There are one or two tracks that don't click with me, like Alabama song, but the rest more than make up for it.

I had heard a cover of epic by Brass Against a while ago and thought it was great and that I must look up the original. I never did that, so I was pleasantly surprised when it came on. I really enjoyed listening to this album, it felt like a combination of some different sounds that were emerging at the time.

Absolute classic.
