Popular Reviews

Out of Step by Minor Threat

A nice of shot punk is always nice, unfortunately similar throughout though

Garbage by Garbage

Listened to half of this yesterday and at the time I was dismissive. Listened to the second half today and really enjoyed so ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ initially I was thinking this was closer to the Sheryl crows and Shania Twains than the grunge era, but then the music today I thought was quite good, some sounds you'd hear in modern fontaines so I dunno

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan

Just class in every way. Great production, 1972 is hard to believe

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Sep 06 2026

Feels like a live album is cheating, but I love still in love with you and the transition into boys are back in town makes it all worth it

On The Beach by Neil Young
Sep 07 2026

Solid without any bangers

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Sep 08 2026

Interzone and I remember nothing - decent tracks. The hits as good as ever. Solid album

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Sep 09 2026

First album from the list I knew nothing about - probably for a reason, outside the title track was all a bit samey. Still getting it on was new to me and that was good

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Sep 10 2026

Brilliant album, if anything a lil short at 27 mins. Loved the harmonies on My blue tears, And the waltz of she never met a man she didnt love

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Sep 11 2026

Love this album, babe I'm gunna leave you, dazed and confused etc

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Sep 12 2026

Thought I would be nostalgic for it but actually found it quite boring, very samey

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Sep 13 2026

Yeah cool, reminds of Baxter fury without the vocals, some bits dreary, too many James that could have been cleaned up but that's punk innit

Station To Station by David Bowie
Sep 14 2026

First album that I haven't listened to from this that would genuinely brilliant and you could tell after 4-5 listens I'll fall in love

Sep 15 2026

The hits are solid, always think some album tracks of that operatic rock is a bit meh

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Sep 16 2026

Good, probably too much 70s rock at this stage, some of the non singles bog standard

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Sep 17 2026

Great album, loads of hits, still a bit sick of 70s rock, but zeppelin are the pinnacle. If they could just cut like 4-5 tracks and make this a single album it would have been perfect

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Sep 18 2026

Exceptionally long some bangers though, fighter is better than dirty fight me. The standout track is the voice within though.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Sep 19 2026

Shut up and play the hits. Blue rondo and take 5 great, gets a bit lounge musicky in places. Overall quite lovely

The Grand Tour by George Jones
Sep 20 2026

70s country ballads but imo not as good as a dolly or glen. Enjoyable but forgettable.

Sep 21 2026

Initially was defending them but everything since the scientist has been shite sad soft rock In my place, God put a smile on my face, clocks are decent tracks tho

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Sep 22 2026

Very nice album - knowing the singles the rest of the tracks are similar. They have that dense production of multiple instruments all playing. Enjoyed it a lot

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Sep 23 2026

I love the rolling stones but this was a bit derivative, simple blues songs and covers. Still good to see how it started.

Out of Step by Minor Threat
Sep 24 2026

A nice of shot punk is always nice, unfortunately similar throughout though

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Sep 25 2026

Solid country harmony not as good as satan is real

Abbey Road by Beatles
Sep 27 2026

A goat album. The medleys

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 29 2026

Turns out I would only call this grand. Heroes the standout, good musicianship but a lot of waffle instrumental tracks that I'd have no time for!

Fun House by The Stooges
Sep 30 2026

Punk starter, probably more enjoyable than minor threat

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Oct 02 2026

Pretty forgettable, didn't know the hit and didn't think it was the best track. Has artistic merit

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Oct 03 2026

I've never been mad for Clapton, I wouldn't this helped but I appreciate it. A bit like zeppelin I it has those simple blues tracks that help you trace the origin. I'm sure for some it's a classic. 3/5

Oct 05 2026

Loved this album growing up, want to give it a 5 but just shy. Pity they petered out after this, nothing of a similar genre since

1984 by Van Halen
Oct 06 2026

Jump is class, a lot of fluff otherwise

Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
Oct 07 2026

Some nice songs if a little forgettable

American Pie by Don McLean
Oct 09 2026

Good for a lazy weekend morning. I love vincent

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 10 2026

Solid new order album without any of the hits. Really liked the track elegia

Horses by Patti Smith
Oct 11 2026

The live experience is the best, struggle to get into her albums. Some solid numbers in here tho

Bad by Michael Jackson
Oct 12 2026

Not as good as thriller but still banging. Slow in the middle but start and end are rocking

Garbage by Garbage
Oct 13 2026

Listened to half of this yesterday and at the time I was dismissive. Listened to the second half today and really enjoyed so ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ initially I was thinking this was closer to the Sheryl crows and Shania Twains than the grunge era, but then the music today I thought was quite good, some sounds you'd hear in modern fontaines so I dunno

Oct 14 2026

Started off thinking it's edgier than I thought soft cell would be but it was so edgy it was actually bad

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Oct 15 2026

A lot of fun, some good covers

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Oct 16 2026

Just class in every way. Great production, 1972 is hard to believe

Metallica by Metallica
Oct 21 2026

Some great tracks. Listen to 3 albums today to catch up, the black album best of the three. Over an hour is a stupid length for an album though, if they cut it down, all killed less filler
