Violator
Depeche ModePreviously, I had only heard Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence from this album so it was great to finally listen to the complete album. I really loved this album!

Great album. Love her voice and the instrumentation is beautiful. Like getting a Velvet Underground record with just Nico vocals!
Love this album. Hadn’t listened to it in awhile.
Pleasantly surprised by this delightfully odd album!
I actually have this album on vinyl so I’ve listened to it before. Although the singer has a pretty unique/cool voice and a few of the songs are really catchy and funky, I just didn’t really enjoy this album overall. Maybe with repeat listens more songs would grab me. Reminds me a lot of Hall & Oates, but not as fun and awesome. Stand out tracks: come to my aid, look at you now and moneys too tight.
Previously I’ve listened to a few SY albums but not this one, so I was excited to have this as my first choice. I had heard Kool Thing before and maybe Dirty Boots which are great songs. Overall I really enjoyed this album. Sick guitars and effects!
I love their debut album but have not listened to this album before (other than maybe a couple songs). I really loved this album. Standout tracks: heads will roll, runaway, hysteric, soft shock
Never been a big SG fan and this album didn’t change that but I have a better appreciation for them now. Cornell has such a great voice. Black hole sun, Spoonman and Fell on black days are such classics, especially BHS (90s Seattle anthem). I actually really love Fell on Black Days; sounds like a Pearl Jam song (a bit reminiscent of softer nirvana songs too, I think)! My Wave, minus vocals, sounds like a Fugazi song! Stand out tracks: fell on black days, my wave, the day I tried to live and 4th of July.
I love this album. Only weak links are Gorgeous and So Appalled. These aren’t bad tracks, but the rest of the album is so good that when these songs come on a bit of energy leaves the room.
Very cool album!
Fun album, but I can only take so much mambo music.
Loved the production and beats on this album.
I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a whole AC/DC album before so this was fun. This album, well, rocks! Stand out tracks: Shoot to Thrill, Let Me Put My Love in You and, of course, Back in Black and Hells Bells! HB might be one of the best rock album openers ever.
I gotta admit when this came up I was alittle but bummed, but holy shit was this great. Reminds me a lot of Elvis’ ballads or Roy Orbison. Stand out tracks: Big Iron, A Hundred and Sixty Acres, They’re Hanging Me Tonight, Cool Water, El Paso and Saddle Tramp.
This album was alright. Singer’s voice reminded me a lot of Dylan and music reminiscent of Donovan. Stand out tracks: The Painter of Women, The Wolf of Velvet Fortune.

Fun, trippy album.
I actually liked this album. Not the biggest fan of Irish/Scottish folk music, but the songs were good. Some of the more poppier songs reminded me of 80s U2.
Loved this album. Haven’t listened to much of the Minutemen, but I could hear their influence in a lot of my favorite bands.
I really liked this album. I’m a big ska fan so was familiar with Madness prior to listening, but I had never listened to a whole album. Very fun and Our House is such a good pop song!
Loved this album. State Trooper is such a great song!
Prior to this I’d only probably heard the singles/famous songs off this album, so it was cool to finally listen to the whole album. Overall, the album was good, but nothing really grabbed me (other than the songs I already knew). Also the story of this concept album is a bit odd at times and not super compelling. However, it’s iconic and I’m glad I listened to it.
Fun album!
Classic! Never listened to the album in it’s entirety before. Highly enjoyed!
Very cool album!
One of my favorite albums. Love it!
I really like the Kinks but hadn’t listened to this album prior so it was a good choice. I really loved this album! Stand out tracks: Victoria, Yes Sir No Sir and Brainwashed.
Really enjoyed this one.
Classic British punk album. I enjoyed this.
This album was interesting, as I love The Beach Boys, but nothing really grabbed my attention. It was enjoyable though.
This album was just okay. Alittle boring.
I have listened to this album before and I love it!
Fun and catchy pop songs, but I’m just not the biggest ABBA fan. Glad I listened though!
Loved this! Bowie is the best.
This album was great. I love Picture Book, great song.
Never listened to a full CSNY album before and I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this more than Protection. Cool album!
Love this album. Hadn’t listened to it in awhile.
Love this album. I have it on slime green vinyl. Was kinda surprised to see it on this list, but 🤷♂️
Pleasantly surprised by this delightfully odd album!
This album was alright. A bit boring. He’s got an amazing voice, but I found it to be quite similar to Chris Cornell’s voice, but not as soulful. Also Buckley didn’t have bands like the rest of Soundgarden or Audioslave backing him to make his music that interesting or rocking.
Pleasant album
I’ve always wanted to check out Venom so I was excited when this came up. I know they’re considered pioneers of metal and black metal but to me this sound more like a parody of metal than a serious metal album.
I’m not the biggest fan of country rock, but I enjoyed this. Made me realize how similar folk music and country are and how easily a folk rock song can become a country song.
Love this album.
Highly enjoyed this. Glad this project has exposed me to The Jam, another band that I’ve heard of and I know is a big influence to a lot of the artists I love but just haven’t really checked out yet.
Very pretty album
One of my favorite albums. A classic!
Previously, I had only heard Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence from this album so it was great to finally listen to the complete album. I really loved this album!
Haven’t listened to this TJAMC album and really enjoyed it
I had never listened to Adam Ant prior to this, but have wanted to. I enjoyed this.
This is one of my favorite albums. Love it!
Great album. Love her voice and the instrumentation is beautiful. Like getting a Velvet Underground record with just Nico vocals!
Love this album
This is one of my favorite albums by one of my favorite bands
Loved this album. I think I enjoyed this even more than Goo!
Not my favorite VU album, but clearly very influential on a lot artist I enjoy. I do love Sister Ray though!
Really enjoyed this. A lot of it sounded like a studio recording and not live. It was cool hearing the two phases of Bob Dylan in one set/one album.
I enjoyed this more than Arrival. Glad I checked it out.
I’ve never been a big fan of the Verve but only really knew their singles so I kinda looking forward to checking out this whole album. However I found it to be aggressively dull. Not bad, just boring. Oasis and Blur’s output during this time was so far superior this.
Odd vocals. Good voice, but doesn’t fit the music.
Love this album
Pleasantly surprised by this album. Not the biggest fan of Merle and his politics, but this was a nice collection of outlaw country songs
At first I thought this album was a bit dull, but about halfway through I really enjoyed some of the songs. This is fairly minimalist music and I’m surprised it takes 3 people to create this
Never heard of this group or album before and really loved it.
Love “Think too much”
I like Zeppelin but I’m not sure I’ve ever listened to a full album of theirs before. Great album!
Such a great album. Shake Appeal is one of my favorite songs!
A bit monotonous
The Number of the Beast and Hallowed Be Thy Name are just great songs
