Spy Vs. Spy: The Music Of Ornette Coleman
John ZornJust really terrible, very hard to listen to, and I say this as a lover of jazz. "Like a migraine in music form" -my wife

I won't listen to Eric Clapton, because he is a racist, anti-vaxx douchebag who stole Black music and thinks Black people should all be removed from the UK. Eric Clapton is trash.
Yeah I was kind of liking parts of it, sonically really weird, and parts of it where you can see they could be a good, straightforward band, but they are choosing not to Obvious influence on Devo Pretty brave and very weird
It's..okay. Song for Assata is great, but most of the album is a bit of a slog, about 20 minutes too long. Marred by homophobia and misogyny in spite of Common calling his girl his equal multiple times
So, so bland, empty. This is why nobody likes hipsters.
Quite like Gettin Up, a love song which you don't hear much in hiphop You reminds of Kendrick Lamar, so this album is ahead of its time We Fight/We Love reminds of Stevie Wonder Norah Jones track is quite good Overall very breezy and slick, has a great sense of musicality and singing that prefaces the direction of hip hop in a few years
Not my jam overall, but a good example of the style. Last two songs with more of a blues/funk vibe were excellent.

Requires some context to appreciate fully. Very 90s!
This starts off with two very good tracks, but most of the rest feels pretty hollow in spite of them being the best musicians we have heard so far. It was never a band that I could get into, I recognize they are very talented and in the hall of fame and all that, it's just nothing I would choose to listen to generally. The last track on this album is not good at all. This band is important to a lot of people, but it's not for me.
Pioneering ambient work that clearly opened doors for many other synth and pop artists.
Absolutely beautiful singing. Felt like Red in Shawshank Redemption listening to opera in the prison yard: "To this day I have no idea what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it.” We read about Shaka Zulu, and talked about apartheid and Paul Simon, who produced this. Bought a copy on vinyl!
Great album, easy 5 for me. All songs top notch.
Highly influential album by an underrated band. Glam, hard rock, punk.
Overall I just think this is pretty boring. Neil Young is rock royalty and I respect him but I really never find myself with any urge to listen to him or collect his albums.
It would have been very cool to see Dylan in the 60s. This is a goid example of his live shows at the time, but I felt this album went on a bit too long and dragged in the last third. Absolutely loved the first third. Dylan is a force and a fantastic songwriter, and I'm undoubtedly going to give 5s to Blood on the Tracks and Hwy 61, but this was just ok overall.
Just incredibly good, obviously a foundationally important album. Renegade is astonishing. I could have listened to another hour of this, and I need to hear it again to pick up more from it.
Time has not been good to Fishbone. We didn't enjoy this much. 15 year old me in a mosh pit enjoyed it
If you don't own this, you don't like music.
Cool album, really enjoyed it
I've just never been able to get into them.
Loved them since I was a kid. Never in life have I gotten tired of listening to Simon & Garfunkel. Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of the best songs in history. Huge fan of The Only Living Boy in NY, The Boxer, and El Condor Pasa. Easy 5 stars for me. If you don't like this album, I can't hang out with you.
The best musician Portland has ever had. Been listening to him for nearly 20 years now, and I will always listen to him. Heartbroken at his loss.
I'd give it a 3, I like post rock but this had very little emotion. GYBE, Boards of Canada and especially Explosions in the Sky have all done this project to better effect. The 20 minute suite first song is good and the last song was pretty good with the western influence but generally it fell flat. I would listen to it again at night on headphones to see if I maybe was just in.the wrong headspace.
I'd been burnt out by the Police due to hearing their singles way too many times. But damn this is a good album. Such precise drum, bass and guitar work and Sting's voice soars over everything and elevates it all. Great album.
A perfect album. It just kicks ass top to bottom. People don't know the New York Dolls and that's a real shame.
Just an effortlessly cool album, you can hear how much it influenced another great French artist, AIR. I will be digging through his catalog. Love the jazz influence and just really solid guitar and bass.

Too much Boomer
Super boring
Great old cowboy songs. Big Iron a staple of Fallout New Vegas, and Bob Weir covered El Paso at GratefulnDwad shows for decades. So much better than the crap Nashville pumps out onto your local robot-programmed radio station 90.3 THE BULL WE PLAY ALL THE HIIITTTSSS Y'ALL
So, so bland, empty. This is why nobody likes hipsters.
Modern easy listening. Pretty bland, Petrified Florist is the best track but it's not enough that I'd listen again.
Hugely influential on the early 90s British indie scene. Underrated at the time of its release but deserving of respect.
Beautiful singing voice
Zeppelin rules
Just really terrible, very hard to listen to, and I say this as a lover of jazz. "Like a migraine in music form" -my wife
Lyrically and musically good, let down by average vocals. Credit for being socially aware.
Fantastic album. Costello's voice never sounded more rich.
Meh

I feel very indifferent about this album. Mostly sounds like filler songs on an Oasis album but never climbs to the heights that Oasis could. The musicians are good but this didn't grab me.
Funky yet cheesy. Quite liked the instrumental Africano. Worth a listen.
Leonard Cohen is the man. One of the best songwriters who ever lived, and this might be his best album.
Can't listen to it, no longer on spotify.
Great album. Always loved this one.
Intensely boring.
Elbow rules
Just really interesting and really strange
Music for a rich lady to get a spa treatment by. I don't like it.
Awesome Brazilian jazz, really dig this one
Cool psychedelic country album
Classic!!
All time classic. Still kicks as much ass now as it ever did.
It's really great. Count Basie is a legend
I really wanted to like thus, I do like Small Faces generally, but they keep having these narrative bits to start off every song later on thus album and it was really pretty annoying.
Great album!!!
Everlys are great, I don't feel like this was their strongest album though
I don't really love it. Dirty Boots is great but I get bored of them just reprntlessly making feedbavk
Pretty good for about 10 minutes but then it gets just very samey. I lost interest. The band name is also super cringe.
An all-time kickass classic. This album takes other albums out behind the shed and kicks their asses, and they give thanks that Black Sabbath paid them attention.
To quote The Dude, "I f*ckin hate The Eagles."
Pretty decent, good cadence
Hey guess what? Metallica kicks ass!
This is one of my favorite albums of all time. 5 stars, every day, across the board. I have been listening to the Pixies for more than 30 years and will never be bored of them.
Simon and Garfunkel are WELL into drugs on this one and it's glorious. Really dog this one.
Weirdly Tidal's link brought me to Social Distortion's White Light, White Heat, White Trash from 1996. I enjoyed that album. I can't say that I enjoyed this album. Lou Reed wrote some of the best tracks in rock and roll history, and I respect the Velvets and understand their massive importance in music history. I'm just not a fan of fuzzy noise jams, not a big Sonic Youth fan for the same reason. This album is kind of a mess, I know I won't be getting it for my vinyl collection!
Another of my favorites of all-time. If you don't like the Stooges, there's something wrong with you!! Iggy is the greatest frontman who ever stalked this planet.
It's a good metal album but it's really exhausting me trying to get through the full 45 minutes. Can't do it.
Great album. My favorite of theirs will always be Automatic. Really underrated band though.
Solid album, definitely this and El Camino are the Black Keys at the height of their power. I used to really like them but find myself less interested as time goes on. Somehow it sounds dated already though!
This is a lot of fun. I imagine sipping a pina colada on a beach with the cast of Goodfellas.
It's fine, I'm not into reggae very much
This album is undefeated. I love this album, I love Talking Heads, this is one of my top 15 albums of all time.
