End of Someone Great was cinematic Long songs, not really my type of music in general Electronic dance-punk
Liked Only Synth in Church a lot Pray Up Stay Up was good too - upbeat, good piano, faint jazz in the background - kind of repetitive though But album definitely gives off black supremacy vibes - all for pride in race/culture but this seems as though they're above equality and superior to other races.
There she goes #1 obviously Added Looking Glass to a playlist - 8 min song and a good one to just sit down and listen to
Added If I Die 2Nite, Me against the world, dear mama, old school. first full 2pac album I listened to, just knew other single songs before
Smooooth Jazz great sax Great songs: Smooth Operator Frankie's First Affair Sally
Beautiful voice. Honeysuckle Rose was favorite How high the moon sounded like she impovised. Love the live aspect of it, feels like I was really there.
Songs that are stories Fable of the Brown Ape was mad funny and I actually liked it The Lyre of Orpheus was also good Nature Boy was good Overall good, just not something I'd listen to really
Alt 70s rock Girl was mad funny
Last album before Kurt committed suicide Rape Me - cordero told me abt this one. Sounds like a similar chord progression to smells like teen spirit. Dumb and Heart-Shaped Box were also good
One of the founders of punk Lust for life is okay - repetitive The Passenger uses the 4 chord progression - most plays on spotify unsurprisingly - also repetitive (just uses same 4 chords) Tonight and Some weird sin also not bad
Harry Rag was funny Overall it was good, had some good piano and good trumpet, but I wouldn't listen to it much on my own time
I knew Apache cause I've heard it in a lot of things - just didn't know where it was from Bongolia my favorite Overall so good, made me feel like I was on a remote island
One of the greatest albums of all time Enough. Said.
One of the greatest songwriters of all time Liked Outlaw Blues, On the Road Again, Mr. Tambourine Man Heavy on the harmonica
Damn near every song is a banger..
I should have known better I'm happy just to dance with you You can't do that
Sounds foreign to my Western ear due to the use of microtones (quartertones), or Shrutis (in India) Instruments: Tambura, tabla, sitar Raga - like a scale or mode in Western music This was way harder for me to keep a beat/rhythm to, and there is more improvisation in this album vs Western music
The bluesss baby One of my moms favorite bands
British triphop group. Protection was ok. I liked Three, Weather Storm and Heat Miser.
Alt rock/indie. Genre is known as Shoegaze. Extreme volume and heavy on guitar texture/distortions. My Bloody Valentine is thought to be the godfathers of Shoegaze. New you was good, psychedelic experience Wonder 2 was trippy
Ambient/New Age music A must that you listen with headphones - nothing else will do. I liked Pt. 5 enough to add it to my misc instrumental playlist. Overall it was okay, but it's not something I'd listen to very often
Beautiful voice, a lot of radio hits, but probably wouldn't listen to much on my own time.
English rock band I liked 1959 a lot - great piano This Corrosion was good too
They're like punk rock and a bit of blues mixed in. Punk Blues Jeffrey Lee Pierce drops the n word in "For the Love of Ivy", but he may just be playing a character, hope he isn't actually racist.
Simple man, free bird, gimme 3 steps, and more Great album
Needle of Death was good
Weird! but good!
paved the way for female rappers. I didn't really enjoy the album, but definitely influential
