Popular Reviews

xx by The xx

Oh my god this album is so shit. I get how it was popular in 2009 but fuck these songs are so uninspired and bland and tasteless. The bass player is sounds like they’re half asleep why do they take up so much space in the arrangements. The intro is cool but the rest is just wank. What the hell.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy

I liked it. banger. it was everything I expected going into a public enemy release from what ive heard about them and then some. the production was sick. the rapping was slightly rudimentary but it worked in the style. great album.

The Who Sell Out by The Who

aw man. like who is actually listening to this though

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Mar 08 2023

up from the skies soundscape is wonderful mane. what on earth is he doing with the guitar. this album was recorded so cleanly. the drums are class in wait until tomorrow. the panning is so well executed in the mix across the board. aint no telling goes ham. these cats are cookin. little wing guitar is just perfect what the hell. I get why people say Jimi Hendrix is the goat. these bass grooves oh my gawh . chorus fell kind of flat in if 6 was 9. bass is still going ham along with these drums dame. again the guitar switching sides each phrase here is done so cleanly. Is this the best song yet? longest song and most bold. this is an album to be heard in headphones !!! the album cover really sums up the sounds. this album is similar to Getz Gilberto in that it works very effectively thanks to the limited number of instruments. Here its only drums, bass guitar on every song and its likely much the better for it. Guitar on castles in the sand is most pushing of the button. the reversed guitar in left ear sounds incredible. vocals sound great. oh this is a great song. first song that I've noticed great lyricism. the drums on here are really really impressive. one rainy wish- guitar phrase layering just before hook is brilliant. wow wow wow. putting the lead vocals just wherever in the pan is a wild mixing choice that works perfectly within the sounds of this album. fuck yeah. little miss lover drums are once again great. this would be a great album to test headphones with. noo I'm on the last song. what's really impressive in this album is that the drums and bass are as cool as the guitar and the guitar is really really really cool. if you like guitar this last song is for you. overall: this is great!!!!!!! these are the notes I made while listening btw x

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Mar 09 2023

bcnr vibes. track one bangs. driving rhythm is really cool. I like a good indie clip on the vocals. what on earth time signature is track 2. the backing vocals work in a cool way here. still cool. cool guitar lead here in track 3. softer vibe. the mixing of the drums is very specific but sounds good. I like this song quite a bit. I like the whole melody being built off a simple phrase. fuck yeah. the sliding bass oh yeah. banger. on about track 4 now. I love the simple sliding bass. reminds me of pattos bassline on track 6 of iwutbf. what an instrument. this all just works so well. the mix is so full. holy shit this is mad. 10/10 song wholeheartedly. that song had me groovin. I think a picture of houses at nighttime would be a better album cover for this album. not a bad cover but the music gives vibes of the sunken suburbs in Derek Mahon day trip to donegal poem. the subtle building here in track 5 is cool. I like this feature on the website of taking notes. makes more present listening experience. this song is yet to Get a heart but I'll mention it's really cool to use kettle whistling in the music. this is cool mixing technique have 2 violins panned hard left and right double tracking the same thing then have 1 cut out and then change. I'll have to try that when recording mark for guitar or something. track 6 I think I recognise this chorus. this is sick. I get why this album is so famous. I prefer the use of strings here than on the last track. the start of the verse section gives ed Sheeran vibes. this chorus slaps tho tbf. I'll definitely be revisiting this album!!! this song is kinda Concorde. I wonder why the next song is so popular. oh that's a cool drum groove. vocals sound cool. track 8 is nice but not anything mad at least on first listen. I need to get new headphones these ones get uncomfortable ridiculously quickly. hell yeah track 9. I love a good hard panned clean tone small electric. the structuring of this song is cool. makes sense. shaped like a series of ramps. was that a key change or a dodgy chord change. mmm . I like the soundscape trach ten. mmm . chune to end it on. I like that technique of simplifying the melody that was big and grandiose into something really small to end it off. as far as the album over all I definitely preferred the first half to the second. the first half blew my mind the second have was really quite good. it lost me a little with neighbourhood 4 kettles, but that was probably just the pace change and from how much I messed with neighbourhood 3 power out. very cool

Mar 10 2023

cool album cover. track one is really cool. the bassist and guitars are working really well together. track 3 is a banger. this is banging use of theme across the album yay. track 5 is a tune. Harry was hating on this album too much. the songwriting is really really good. track 6 bangs. as a whole this album might be better than 13. can't decide if part 2 of track 7 goes hard or is incredibly goofy. track 8 was a fun little song. track 9 sounds nice. now that I pay attention this kinda slaps. if only I was in the country when blur was playing live. mm track 10 is developed. I see why this album is on this list. holy shit this slaps. mm mm mm. track 14 is a banger. this outro has a lot of the sounds and mixing techniques used on 13. like the organ which I think is on 1992??? (Must be a different song idk which) might be wrong. overall this is a very solid album id give it between a 3 and a 4 but ill round it up sure. there weren't any mega high higlights but it was all proper good stuff. favourite track was probably miss America. yay

Let It Be by The Replacements
Mar 13 2023

First track is a mega tune. Thomas was always playing that walk walk in the light ah tune on the bass. I would make the fuck out of track 3. Track 5 is such a banging ballad. vocals are mega impressive this just sounds good. Oh lovely I also know track 7. What a tune. unsatisfied is a bleedin song of a lifetime fuck uyeah. im so im so unsatisfied. what an absolute album chock a block with mega tunes. I am satisfied. what more can you want. the guitar is great. there is so much passion in the vocals of androgynous. sixteen blue might be my favourite song on the album. the alt vocal version performance is maybe even better. structuring isn't incredible. bit of whiplash from Garys got a boner to sixteen blue. unsatisfied goes noticeably well into seen your video though so its forgiven. serious banger of an album.

21 by Adele
Mar 14 2023

ah look. im fairly familiar with a fair bit of this album as a result of being alive in the 2010s. it sounds really good in headphones to be fair. great mixing. I remember Alwin bobbett once played me hello and told me how absolutely perfect her voice was. cheers love. yeah it is pretty good. those clicks on rumour has it are clean as fuck. the tones on all the guitars are really nice. this is what top class studios and engineers get you and I can't say I wouldn't like that tbh. I am a sucker for melody following the vocals and that's pleasing there on track 3 pre chorus or whatnot. other than that track 3 is alright. the engineer is really going ham. track 4 kinda stinks in comparison to the others. it's not bad but its not at all anything new. the delay on the vocals on set fire to the rain is furly subtle but adds atmosphere I may try that. I got a hint of bass and now I want a song with a fuck bassline. let me hear that engineered to fuck. that hihat panned right on the hook is absolute wank. thank god its mixed so low that is entirely off beat. how does this happen in such a meticulously mixed song. just remove it. track is a banger overall. everything else works together flawlessly. oh that rim is clean on track six. oh lord. mmm. hell yeahhhhh. bass fucking line. yeahhh. oh lord. fuck yeah. oh this fucks. id never heard this one before this mega fucks. I fuck with every part of this. if there's a track better than this I'll be very surprised man I was not expecting this. track 6 supremacy. imagine how banger it would be if there was a full breakbeat dnb section. just before the last hook it edged me for a moment. track 7 is a fairly sameish piano ballad. the vocal harmonies are cool. rest is nothing special. so far the songs starting with drum beats have been the coolest. track 8 here is a groove. soulful. hook isn't anything mad fairly corporate. these headphones make my ears sweaty. track 9 kinda fucks iwl. the drummer really struggles with the hats though doesn't he jaysus. tchune in general though tbf. oh yeah long outro. repeated phrase with a build oh yeah. track 10 is nice I also won't lie. im a sucker for the hard panned acoustics. this album has actually been better than I expected. it may warrant a 4. jasus. hmm. someone like you is good piano ballad. doesn't make me say engineered to fuck. the vocals sound fairly great but the piano sounds fairly like a piano. the song fucks though. from a structuring point of view it would have made more sense to end on lovesong, but I understand yopping the mega hit on the end to get people to listen through to the album in its entirety. pretty good stuff. split between giving a 3 or a 4.

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Mar 15 2023

mmmm hell yeah premier. track 4 goes barny last few were alright. track 6 yippy. sticken you and fricken you, just a teeny bit. beat goes hard on track 7 what the hell is guru on about. the kick sounds Really good on track 10. oh my lord that bassline on track 11. the short interlude tracks go so hard. I must say I want more premier less guru. something about his rap style just isn't clicking with me. track 17 beat is lovely. Yeah I would much rather this being a premier beat album with the beats slightly more developed than with guru on it. I am so sorry guru I like some of his work but this is simply not it to me ☹️. his rapping was good on the last track but I just really wasn't messing with this album. and I didn't even enjoy it as much as the very 3 adele album. jasus this is gonna be a 2

Bummed by Happy Mondays
Mar 16 2023

That first track was a vibe. Absolutely fat kick. Overall this was a fun vibe album with not much behind it but there are other albums in that category that I would much rather listen to. Still solid and that was a fun ticket to ride interpolation on the last track. I feel like this would go hard live in fairness.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Mar 17 2023

God this album went bananas. Favourite tracks are probably track 2 and I think 4? Beautiful soundscapes great stuff from Garth brooks

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Mar 20 2023

Real mammy vibes on this one. Sounds lovely though. One day I will find the song at the end of the piglet movie dvd.

Clube Da Esquina by Milton Nascimento
Mar 21 2023

God I fucking love this album. First album so far that I’ve listened to already. fuck this album is gorgeous. Clube da esquina No2 sounds like absolute heaven. I haven't listened to the album the whole way through in ages and hearing the second half particularly is so refreshing and glorious bruh. this is exactly what a double album should be. broad range of bangers, chunes and emotional rollercoasters. if only I knew what they are on about. when he says asi vivamos seperados in dos cruces 🔥 (basically the only lyric I know cos its the same as in spanish). Paisajem da Janela is such just a feel good swayyey dancey vibe. This album stands beside Songs in the Key of Life as one of the all-time great double albums bruggy. Holy fucking shit when the bass comes in and the instrumental changes in track 13 what the heck. This album sounds so fucking good it's insane. Get your best headphones and fucking get auditory heroin for an hour. fucking god trem de doido is gorgeous. this album sounds so modern for 1972 its insane. what te fuck. also this album cover goes fucking hard. album of the fucking life. I wish trem de doido was longer that was insane. this is easily the best album on the challenge yet. im sorry replacements im sorry Hendrix this is just it. it is insanity how good this album is. oh yay this song title is the same as in spanish. track 20 nothing will be like before. ill try figure out lyrics. he'll nah there's no lyrics on Spotify. this arrangement is gorgeous. I know I've used that word many a time here already but its bleedin true wow. What an album!!!!!!!

Moon Safari by Air
Mar 22 2023

this album was pretty good. chill electronic vibes. I like the album cover and the song with Hirsch were cool. I'll probably revisit and listen while studying.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Mar 23 2023

how the hell does he sing like that. what an unstoppable jam. the hard pan guitars are incredible. wowza. fucking insane. why have I never properly listened to Michael Jackson before. fuck rock with you sounds insane. what bleedin jams. get on the flowaaa. fuck this album is butter. it dips of kinda severely towards the second Half but is still solid this is definitely a 4. first few tracks are insaaaane. she's out of my life went mega hard too.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Mar 24 2023

I listened to this in art and yk what it wasn't bad. I hearted a couple of the songs. I can't say I loved it. it sounds like stuff that would be in a Shrek soundtrack. I would also like to comment that this webpage no longer displays the album cover fully for me on my laptop which is most dissapointing.

Transformer by Lou Reed
Mar 27 2023

Hell yeah been meaning to listen to this for ages. Executive produced by David Bowie and Andy Warhol. Madness. mane. I wanted to love this album but on first listen it just didn't click. I'll listen again in the good headphones before commenting anything. oh yeah this album sounds so much better in good headphones. thank god I decided to revisit. bass in track 2 sounds wonderful everything in perfect day sounds amazing to the core. perfect day is perhaps a perfect song. you're going to reap just what you sow. all in all there were quite a few songs I didn't care for after these couple listens but man im so glad I decided to revisit with good headphones. I was going to give this album a 2 stars and never listen to it or think about it again. some of these songs are genuinely incredible. enjoyed perfect day, walk on the wild side, make up, satellite of love, goodnight ladies

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 28 2023

Pretty good album but you’d think he’s sponsored by general motors or something

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Mar 30 2023

Wake me up (wake me up inside) can't wake up (wake me up inside) save mee

Mar 31 2023

yk what this album is acc pretty good. I recognised like half the songs from Thomas learning them on the bass and guitar and there are some tunes. the intro track has mega racist / anti immigration vibes to it. I started something I could not finish, stop me if you've heard this one before, last night I dreamt someone loved me are all mega tunes. girlfriend in a coma also even if the lyrics are really strange.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy

I liked it. banger. it was everything I expected going into a public enemy release from what ive heard about them and then some. the production was sick. the rapping was slightly rudimentary but it worked in the style. great album.

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Apr 06 2023

it was all right. nothing on dean Fraser

Fred Neil by Fred Neil
Apr 07 2023

so far this is a great folk album. the bass is so pleasing. his voice just tears through the tracks yup. upon research it is a double bass and a sexy one at that. very much enjoyed. the last track is sick almost delves into jazz territory

Marquee Moon by Television
Apr 11 2023

this album is actually mega sick. I was expecting it to be just like another of the stooges one but it's actually really good. marquee moon, torn curtain, Venus, loads of the tracks are really cool. good album guys.

Faust IV by Faust
Apr 13 2023

this fucked mega hard. ambient/ rock/ whatever the hell. favourite track : its a bit of a pain

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Apr 14 2023

smooth ahh. after listening the whole way through I think didn't cha know is still the best track but lovely smooth album. perhaps too long??

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
Apr 17 2023

honestly this fucks so far. I was expecting this to be some shite after hearing them all on the radio but this sounds sick in headphones. Yupp. Why worry was honestly fucked.

White Ladder by David Gray
Apr 21 2023

Yuuuppppppp. Fucking love this album. The goattttt. You know what that was even better than I remembered. Nightblindess and white ladder I wasn’t so familiar with before they fuckkkk. Mega hard. Outro track too. Weakest song is probably we’re not right but that is still a tune. I was gonna say mega strong 4 but I think this deserves a 5. Banger.

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Apr 24 2023

Why did nobody tell me Leonard cohen could write god damn. Tempted to give it a 5 but I don’t know it like that yet

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Apr 25 2023

Absolute banger of an album. The guitars are gorgeous. Some of the tracks in the last third are a bit weaker but this is an amazing album.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Apr 27 2023

Good vibe yeah nice tchunes

For Your Pleasure by Roxy Music
Apr 28 2023

holy fuck this is shite. every dream home a heartache is annoying me quite a bit. strictly confidential was fairly good. okay second half of every dream home a heartache is good. my maths wasn't going great I apologise everyone. the bogus man is a cool jazz-esque song this album has redeemed itself. I must say I am not a big fan of the singers timbre. I like summa the Roxy music songs otherwise though they got some tunes. you know what this album from second half of edhah onwards is actually really good. I think the condition of the first half means the album only warrants 3 stars sorry Roxy and music. im actually annoyed. because the second half of this album is actually amazing. but the first half is so painfully mediocre. the second half would certainly get a 4 if the first half was up to par or even just a bit below, but it's not. so I am gonna have to give this a 3 despite it not being reflective of the whole album despite being reflective of the album as a whole.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
May 01 2023

what a lovely cute album. he's got Georgia on his mind 😄

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
May 02 2023

been meaning to listen to Jeff beck on a full length for aages. the first couple tracks on this are craazzzzyy. the baseline and guitars on the first track are mental. I am listening to the stereo album which on Spotify is tracks 15-26. sometimes the stereo mixing just isn't great like on turn into the earth where only the vocals are in the left channel and everything else is in the right, which is just really weird. overall its alright!! if the whole album was as good as the first 3 songs it would be pushing a 5 star almost.

World Clique by Deee-Lite
May 03 2023

this was actually a great pitta fun so

May 09 2023

It was just fine. Everybody hurts was a great track but for the most part I was uninterested.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
May 12 2023

Perfectly fine album but I think the blues is just not for me!!!!

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
May 16 2023

Ah yeah pretty good cool to have a softer mix on something punk esque. The kick drum is recorded quite nice. Can hear the aul David Bowie influence quite strongly

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
May 17 2023

It’s like a less good English language version of the Arthur verocai album

Palo Congo by Sabu
May 18 2023

Since listening I have seen reviews saying you shouldn't listen to this in headphones, and that's what I did, so maybe it's because of that, but this album made me all kinds of miserable. I usually am a large lover of Congo's but this album did not speak to me on any level. I am sorry sabu

Heroes by David Bowie
May 19 2023

I thought it was cool how there's just an ambient song cycle for 3 songs near the end there. Heroes and blackout are bangers. the rest I didn't find especially great

The Band by The Band
May 22 2023

this shit fucks!!! It’s like cool Bob dylan

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
May 23 2023

I thought this album was a bitta fun

American Pie by Don McLean
May 24 2023

this album was better than I expected! id never heard the studio version of American pie before and it did wayyy more than I thought it would. the first half of the album unfortunately blows the second half out of the water. Vincent is cool track 2 is cool

A Short Album About Love by The Divine Comedy
May 26 2023

why are all the reviews for this on this website so bad this album slaps. He does go on about the horses though

May 29 2023

Idk what I was expecting but on the most part this was way better. Super engaging production, tight themes, well executed. I feel like it lost me towards the end, but the first half could genuinely be 5 stars

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
May 30 2023

yeah this was pretty cool I suppose. its broken into two definite parts and the second one is definitively better than the first.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
May 31 2023

this album is making me feel like im going insane. First and last tracks are incredible listen to them but the middle is so bad!!! If it wasn't for the amazing 2 this would get 1 stars

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Jun 02 2023

wayy preferred this to the Peter tosh record. very cool

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 05 2023

good vibe. I am quite biased towards organs and electric pianos of any sort but this was a cool album

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jun 12 2023

this album was actually class. good tunes on it

The La's by The La's
Jun 14 2023

Ig jangle pop is not my speed this was ass apart from 2 songs

Jun 16 2023

absolutely shagged. bob Dylan drops bars all over this yoke. dream number 115 or whichever is a film god damn. mr tambourine man is a banger hot album.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Jun 21 2023

I thought It was a bitta fun to see some early hyperpop. didn't do all that much for me but certainly wasn't bad

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Jun 23 2023

God daym. Maybe it lulled a little in the middle but strong start and incredible last leg. Feeling yourself disintegrate is impeccable and ending the album on sleeping on the roof is beautiful. Those songs put an overwhelming melancholy over me Brum. Sick

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jun 26 2023

Basically a textbook on pop songwriting. Absolute classic. Last song is a little rapey but is perhaps the Beatles best album? Id give it a strong 9/10 but I won't give it 5 stars cos it's not quite 10

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Jul 05 2023

Fuck it this album is sick 5 stars Kick drums are massive guitar work goes without saying Yup funkadelic

Stephen Stills by Stephen Stills
Jul 10 2023

The first half is 4 stars and the rest is forgettable. Not the folk album I was expecting from the cover but cool

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Jul 17 2023

Pretty sick. Atmospheric is definitely the word

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Jul 20 2023

Yeah I can tell how this is a classic. Maybe surprisingly but this is my first time listening to this in full and only my 2nd Jay z album. After finishing this I get the sense like Jay z didn't do that many rap verses despite being such a rap giant? The beats were cool, takeover and heart of the city especially. Some of the others were just alright. I didn't realise just how much Jay z is lyrically referenced in other rap projects. So many examples but I didn't know Joey badass's I couldn't see it in my eyes so I had to make the song cry came from this album. Overall super solid album but nothing life changing saldy. Kanye took his production credits from this album and blew it out the water on his debut a couple years later. Sorry jay Idk why this is getting such bad reviews on this site. Ik it's not the best rap album oat but it is very solid. Also it's gas that this came out on 9/11 2001

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Aug 17 2023

always meant to listen to this. its yonks long tbf. T1 that soundscape is gorgeous. T2 what I have learned is that I cannot and could not differentiate the voices of the different Beatles. this could be Paul 'ball is life' McCartney singing and I'd be none the wiser. Also who tf is on the boards this sounds amazing. album cover makes me wanna go visit avondale tbh. Holy fuck hear me lord is such a vibe. A way more atmospheric album than I expected. I did not listen to the apple jam disc tracks but I feel I will be likely to revisit this album to explore them. Out of the 2 post Beatles solo albums I have listened to (ram on being the other), this is the best by a wide margin. FAVS: Let it down, Beware of Darkness, Isn't it a pity V2, Hear me Lord. What a fucking vibe of an album. Turns out if you just listen to the tracks from the original version it is much much less than 2 hours long. I feel like I might feel differently upon revisits, but perhaps it still is a bit bloated. If it were only the best tracks it could be a 5, but instead I'll give it a high high 4. Great album. deserves to be on the list

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Aug 29 2023

good vibes. great project. really engaging yeah

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Sep 06 2023

The Bends by Radiohead
Sep 08 2023

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Sep 12 2023

Fucking fantastic album from the word go. Whoever produced this album deserves a kiss

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Sep 13 2023

I remember when I first listened to this album a few years ago being confused at people calling it a bridge between jazz and hip hop, and on today's relisten I still am to a degree. It certainly does infuse jazz elements - especially in the basslines, but it doesn't incorporate jazz further than what serves the hip hop beat. There are no solos or soaring instrumentation or strange time signatures. But while this is a hip hop record through and through - it's a bloody good one through and through

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Sep 14 2023

don't wanna be giving so many Albums 4s but this is solidly solid. some duds but I dream a highway, revelator, etc are just so good. great stuff

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Sep 15 2023

sick. ill definitely revisit this. sick bass and drum movements. layering of off-time vocals worked really well. Guerrilla war struggle is a new entertainment

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Sep 18 2023

a headphones album. an album u must listen to in headphones. way better than I remember. opener goes ridiculous pyramid song is great as always sonics on push pulk doors are impeccable as always etc etc. idk why id never taken this album seriously before. loads of great tracks. knives out is up there with their best. the one song im not sure about and that makes this feel like a kid b is the morning bell redo. good stuff altogether. could be a 5 upon revisits

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Sep 19 2023

Idk. Made my train ride worse.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Sep 22 2023

Can't tell if this is gonna grow on me massively but for now the whole concept is extraordinarily cool. All the songs are about prison and he's in prison playing to prisoners. Classic. It's the bits between the songs that really make the record

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Sep 28 2023

Ya not bad. Less noisy than the other krautrock album Ive listened to Makes me wonder what the genre even is

Low-Life by New Order

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Oct 02 2023

fine. very forgettable. double layering on murder mystery is all that gets it a 3 rather than 2

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Oct 03 2023

it is so aged. some songs go hard but the sound is so aged that most of the album is unenjoyable

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Oct 06 2023

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Oct 11 2023

if the smiths were a cuban linx mozzarella would be the b tech plastic link imported that snuck past quality control Johnny Marr and Andy Rourke are goat (animal type) . this joke isn't funny anymore is ridiculous but most the album is just decent. strong 3.75 but im gonna have to round down

Oct 20 2023

why is low end theory the essential jazz rap album bro this is wayy jazzier. real jazz chords and musical phrasings. at times the writing verges on unlistenable but only very few. sonically brilliant throughout

Oct 23 2023

obviously near masterpiece no debating but doesn't do as much for me as 5s I've given . Us vs them is crazy tho

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Oct 26 2023

Bleedin excellent. Only giving a 3 rather than 4 cos it's more a 3.5 and after giving that dark side of the moon yoke 5 and rounding down I'll do the same. Increddibllee soul. Brilliant. 4 women, lilac wine, last 3 tracks straight. Excellency. Yk what this is a 4 too. Only brought down by blues-adjacent tracks but that's a preference thing. So much passion

Oct 27 2023

apart from the 2 unnecessary homophobic segments it was a really solid Neo-soul rap project with good storytelling and production, where the quality did not wane over the 76 minute runtime. brilliant
