This came out my senior year in high school. I don't think I ever listened to the album all the way through. The messages are still applicable today as they were 35 years ago.

I’m 13 again, the year this album came out. Hiding from my chaotic home life at a friend’s house, listening to this album on repeat.

I can't stand white-guy 50s bubble-gum pop with its coded lyrics for getting some poon from young girls. That said, if I am forced to listen to it, The Beatles in this era are the way to go. I still hate this music but you can see the beginning of the later Beatles in this album with guitar riffs that give a nod to Spanish classical and Indian sitar.
