I remember buying this album on double CD when it came out. Haven't listened to the whole thing in quite a while but was pleasantly surprised that my old favorites still resonate.
I knew this album back in the day strictly because of Me, Myself and I. This is the first time I've listened to it all the way through. I enjoyed it. There is a weird fixation with the term "doo doo" .
Great album. American Girl is a perfect song.
I remember when this album came out. It sounded pretty different to anything else that was out of the time. Re-listening to it brought back some memories. Enjoyable ones!
Several bangers on this one from my youth. We actually have it on vinyl. It belonged to my wife's brother and it came with her in the marriage. Just a great album all the way around.
It's been so long since I listened to Kraftwerk that I'd forgotten how groundbreaking their was/is. To think that this was their seventh album!
Such a great album. Part of the soundtrack of my youth.
This is new to me but somehow seems familiar. I really enjoyed it.
I just couldn't get into this one starting with the first track. I like Brian Eno and I like David Bowie I just could not find a groove with this one.
Raw noise from Thurston and the bunch. This takes me back. I was 12 when this came out but I wouldn't hear it for a few years yet.
This one just has to be five stars based on Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, PYT, Wanna Be Starting Somethin. Just stacked!
I'd never heard the back half of this one and I enjoyed it.
It's...fine. I like Helpless a lot and the rest of it is inoffensive but not my cup of tea.
A classic and deservedly so.
This I still remember where I was the first time I heard smells like teen spirit. This band was the soundtrack to my middle team years. I love this album.
Interesting and atmospheric
It's a great album but it's not necessarily my taste. I like having it on in the background while I worked on stereo gear in my basement.
Not into it. His voice grates on me
Can't hear any Simple Minds without thinking of The Breakfast Club. Love the movie and love the sound/era.
A great album start to finish.
Good, hard rocking classic. I'm not a huge Thin Lizzy fan but this was a pretty good live album.
I love Talking Heads and this album.
Quality music from my youth
Sophisti-pop classic. Makes me think of sitting in my orthodontist's waiting room as a teenager. Not the best association.
Good stuff from a great band
Memories of my freshman year of college. Supersonic was the jam. I like the album overall but it doesn't hit as hard now as it used to.
I dig the vibe. A couple of these songs went on my liked songs list
It's a banger. Not in my wheelhouse but I enjoyed it.
The music is interesting and intriguing and I really enjoy it but I do not enjoy the vocals. I'm sure it's a cultural thing but that tone is grating to my ears.
Quite a trip. Atmospheric and airy.
I have to be in the right mood for any Marley other than Could You Be Loved.
I own this on vinyl and it is a stone cold masterpiece.
This type of music is not my cup of tea at all.
Not my cup of tea but 3 stars for Janis.
A classic of old school hip hop
A classic but not my favorite Stones album.
If Superstition were the only song in it it'd still be a great album .
I played a hole in this tape when I was about 16
A nice transition from 80s to 90s
Breakin the Law and Livin after Midnight alone make this a four star effort
Just a great album. I knew about half of it by heart before I even listened to it again.
I really like this album. I feel like it would have been a blast to be in the studio when it was recorded and I definitely am sad I never saw the band live.
Hard not to like Brother Ray
Saw these guys open for Depeche mode in the '90s. This album is burned on my consciousness.
