That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire

Incredible instruments. Bass steals the show. Not a fan of the vocal style, but that is more personal taste than lack of artist ability.

Calming enough, but dissapointed by the lack of progression. Not a lot happens all album long.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits

Every song drags a little too long. They find a cool sound, but do nothing but repeat it. It felt like they didn't know how to close off their songs. Decent sounds, but lose their effect by running too long.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica

Takes me back to being a teenager. Fantastic album that finds a good balance between cutting chuggs and melodic, technical riffs. Perhaps not for everyone, but a clear winner for the genre.

25 by Adele

Incredible singer. Her talent is likely to be generational. However, the tracks themselves are the musical equivalent of a stock image. I'm not familiar enough to know where this album fits in with her portfolio, but it struck me just how safe and samey each song was. Unfortunately, Adele's incredible voice was not enough to break the monotomy.

You've Come a Long Way Baby by Fatboy Slim

Was surprised by how many tracks I recognised and can see why it's on the list. Not my cup of tea as I found each track a bit repetitive.

Rip It Up by Orange Juice

Penance Soiree by The Icarus Line

Not particularly notable. Sounds like an amalgamation of artists who came before. Not sure it's deserving of the list, but wasn't terrible either.

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.

Genre defining. There are few albums that can illicit feelings of nostalgia and "simpler times" without feeling dated - this is one of them.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails

Always found Nine Inch Nails to be an aquired taste. I've heard the album a few times before, but it's only recently started to click. Unnecessarily pretentious at parts, but an undeniably important cog in the musical niche they've created.

Heavy Weather by Weather Report

You know those 90's daytime show jingles? This was the longform version of those.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie

Struggled with this one. Don't usually mind Bowie, but there was nothing on this album to grip my attention.

One World by John Martyn

I just don't get it? There was nothing musically impressive and the album just drones on. It's only saving grace is that it was over quickly.
