Popular Reviews

Such an interesting listen, you don't see rap operas often. everything that I enjoyed about it seems to be why everyone else doesn't like it. I have a new favourite rap album.

What more can be said - a classic and possibly my favourite and most listened to of all time. Sgt Pepper PSA: Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever should be listened to with this album, and the original stereo mix (Remastered 2009) is dreadful, I recommend the Mono mix (found on streaming services) if listening on speakers, and the stereo remix (2017 Remix) on headphones.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Oct 23 2024

Interesting listen. Has a definite vibe. Requires more listening

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Oct 24 2024

Needs more listening. Some standouts, very Britpop.

Heroes by David Bowie
Oct 26 2024

Some fairly uninteresting instrumental tracks and some uninspired rock tracks (on first listen anyway)

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Oct 27 2024

An album I was very familiar with beforehand, so can't compare to my other ratings really. I took this as an opportunity to listen to the mono mix for the first time and I liked the punch it has. Of course a fantastic and classic album but for me misses out on the fifth star just due to the amount I replay it compared to the albums I love most.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Oct 29 2024

A chill album for comfortable chill listen. I liked it

En-Tact by The Shamen
Oct 30 2024
Manassas by Stephen Stills
Nov 01 2024
Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Nov 04 2024

Not my thing but sounds like a decent reggae record

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Nov 05 2024

A comfortable listen. A bit ploddy at the start but it picks up towards the end. Not a fan of In the Ghetto (knew this one before) but I love Suspicious Minds

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Nov 11 2024

Some cool gospel influences and despite the song variety, holds together nicely

Blur by Blur
Nov 12 2024
Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Oct 30 2025

Could have worse but unlikely to play again

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Oct 31 2025

Enjoyable listen - not normally within my musical remit but I would potentially revisit.

Purple Rain by Prince
Nov 04 2025

Very 80's. Some great guitar work here

Diamond Life by Sade
Nov 05 2025

A chill and enjoyable listen

Opus Dei by Laibach
Nov 06 2025

Strange but intriguing. A Queen cover in German in there threw me a bit of a curveball.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Nov 10 2025

Great album. Discs 1&2 contain 18 hits and 0 misses. Disc 3 is still enjoyable but should be viewed as a bonus rather than as part of the album

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Nov 11 2025

A fun listen and absolutely deserves its place on this list

Joan Baez by Joan Baez
Nov 12 2025

Not my cup of tea really but quite peaceful

Violator by Depeche Mode
Nov 17 2025

New wave is not my thing, but not a bad listen overall

Dookie by Green Day
Nov 24 2025

Enjoyed more than expected.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Nov 25 2025

Great album, never listened to Deep Purple past Smoke On The Water but I enjoyed this a lot.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Nov 26 2025

Only ever heard of these guys because they supported Queen for a couple of tours in the '70s and their concert staple Now I'm Here is dedicated to Mott, but I'd never actually listened to anything they recorded. Enjoyed it a lot.

Enjoyed more than I thought I would

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jan 27 2026

Surprisingly consistent, only ever really listened to Elton's singles before

Jan 28 2026

Such an interesting listen, you don't see rap operas often. everything that I enjoyed about it seems to be why everyone else doesn't like it. I have a new favourite rap album.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jan 29 2026

Experimental but enjoyable

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.
Jan 30 2026

An interesting record... May not listen again but somehow glad it was here

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Feb 02 2026

A varied and enjoyable album. A second listen may reveal how much I enjoy this album

Life Thru A Lens by Robbie Williams
Feb 05 2026

Could’ve been worse for a 90’s cheesy pop album. Couple of great tracks, whole lot of cringe. Overuse of pitch correction too, quite distracting.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Feb 09 2026

Enjoyed more than expected, some good musicality in here

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Feb 16 2026

Not my favourite of theirs but still one of the best albums of all time imo

2112 by Rush
Feb 17 2026

Enjoyed more than moving pictures

With The Beatles by Beatles
Feb 23 2026

Early Beatles PSA: much better in mono (unfortunately not on streaming) and should be listened with I Want to Hold Your Hand and This Boy

Mar 12 2026

Definitely too long. Second disc was much better than the first. 3 and 1 so an average of 2
