My favorite pixies album

I always want to like jazz, but rarely do. This was ok.

Had not head this before. Really enjoyed it. Made me want to rewatch the movie.

Better than expected.

I always want to like Steely Dan, but never do. I can see how they influenced the greatest musical act of all time (Ween) - so they at least got that going for them. Dirty Work is a dirty one for sure.

Generally like The Velvet Underground and Lue Reeds voice is a dream. Murder Mystery is an interesting noise rock song that was unexpected.

It was ok, I like the mid career Cure music where it is more complex and moody.

Borrrrrrrring

Early grunge, sounds great - I never got into mudhoney - I think I was a little too young for pre Nirvana grunge. I will definitely be checking them out now.

Man, I always want to love this album and I do - when the horn is blasting my ears into oblivion. If he switched up the annoying horn for the keys or something softer it would be so good. I feel like it is a joke that everyone else is in on but me.

This was close to a 1 for me. The music structure is awkward and made me have the feeling that I was at an uncomfortable social event that I desperately wanted to leave.

I loved this when it came out - I think I might still have the CD stashed away somewhere. It mostly holds up for me.

Heavy nostalgia here. In the summer of 94 or 95 we kept this CD playing on repeat in my best friends car for the entire summer. We loved this so much that we nicknamed a friend Briru the Damaja. DJ Premier’s style is one of my favorites. This was the golden age of rap for me.

I thought I was going to hate this, but it was actually pretty good. 2+ hours is a little much especially since the encore is alternate versions of songs already on the album.

I hate the Eagles and this album deepened the hate.

First time listening to an entire Kate Bush album. Not sure where I am at with it, will need another listen for sure.

I had never listened to a Ray Charles album all the way through before. This was enjoyable.

The cultural impact of this album when it came out cannot be understated. The homophobia didn’t age well.

I don’t like many live recordings. The Who have some good songs, but this live performance is not for me. As Zack says, this might have been one of those had to be there kinda shows.

Love the classic Simon and Garfunkel sound, that Bob Dylan knock off was terrible. 7 o’clock news is a banger.

Love it!! One of my few favorite live albums.

The track “Maggot Brain” itself was good enough for the album to get a 5 from me. Check out the Ween song “A tear for Eddie” which is a tribute to Eddie Hazel.

I burned myself out on these guys, at one point I would have given it a 4. It’s like a 2.75 for me now.

This is on the list of 1001 albums I’ve heard too many times. Also, never take a coworker to a Coldplay concert.

I love Bowie. I forgot how good the B side tracks are on this one.

This was my first “favorite album” when I was a youngster. Still enjoy it.
