Shaka Zulu
Ladysmith Black MambazoGospel/chorus like. Very hypnotic. Good for concentration or just for background noise. Not for everyone! 3/5

Surprisingnly jazzy and chill. 4/5
Chill amongst other progressive rock bands. 3/5
Kinda cool, never heard the whole thing. Super immersive, and impeccable Chris Cornell voicings
An instant classic. Should be taught in schools. Groovy, soothing, pop-ish even. A must listen.
May result weird to non-accustomed listeners, some songs sound overly prog and/or experimental. However, contains some all-time classics, which makes it a balanced and entertained album! 4/5
Cool pop/rock mixture. Powerful voice and rhythms. A good sounding album overall, just not my type. 3/5
I thought I was going to be very bored, turned out I didn't, it's quite entertaining. I think I hear a notable production value, while Taylor's voice is impeccable. I don't really care much for the lyrics or the meaning in this one though.
Interesting British alt rock with an alternate singer....but It's nothing special, dunno why it made the list of the best 1001.
Psychedelic but that's it, nothing to remark. Some acid rock from the 80's
Impeccable. Illustrious combination of bossa nova and jazz. Would listen for hours
Definitively britpop, however has some weirdness about it that does not really heard on other groups. No wonder this guy went and created Gorillaz, heh, so much creativity.
Solid Rush representative, long songs, acute and strong vocals, crazy tempos, beautiful musical background.
Very niche, tribal rhythms that we are not used to. Very interesting and charming to listen to.
Enjoyed the songs, but not really impressed. I'd say pretty average rapper with a good production on the album, didn't know the name.
Instant classic. The correct dose of uppers and downers to leave you lying on your sofa, asking for more.
Radio material. Has potential but does not quite hit it out of the stadium.
Easy listening. Yet another of the greatest woman voices out there.
Fine for a 90's rap break. Not groundbreaking in any way, except maybe he's being all chill and sexy lyrics instead of "aggressive" like other rap acts. Wouldn't put it as a must-listen.
Very sentimental, melodic music. Sweet and calm. Tho unsure if this belongs to the top 1001 albums
Electrifying as it should. Shake your head and let it go.
Appreciate the singing and the piano, though the whole album idea didn't resonate with me.
I dove blind and discovered an extremely exquisite piece of music. Unsure the technical playing is good or not, but the feelings it transmits are everything. Definitively the kind of experience I joined this "challenge" for.
End of an era.
A cool album. Experimental I'd say, not a clearly defined sound, tho very reminiscing of 70/80's pop-rock. I'm biased because I like French.
Haven't heard much before, it's definitively washed-down rock. But has potential
Funky but could be better
Raw. Fast. A voice that wants to be heard
Refreshing rap in a language other than English.
Delightful jazz. Very cool indeed
Dark and reflective. Like and subscribe
Highly experimental, it's one of those albums that you have to listen in its entirety, like each song does not make sense on its own. Soothing, good company. It does not kick in immediately though, you have to be patient.
Pretty much standard Brit pop/rock. A manly voice whispering then shouting, piano/organ and some chimes and bells here and there. Not sure I heard something different or interesting here than a mix of a decade of soft rock/pop bands that are more significant.
Legendary melodies
Surrealistic and majestic. However, made me pretty sleepy, instead of compelling other interesting emotions like some other contemporary artists do.
Folk but also not so folk.
I really try but Bowie clicks differently to me, and this one didn't make it so far up my list
Quite experimental for a pop artist. Surprisingly good.
I think it's so musically complex that everyone should hear it at least one time. They later perfected much of the concepts they outline here. Of course it lines up on the "metal"/"rock" side of the scale, but it's so creative. The message. The energy. No wonder they became such a big hit.
Chill band, guitar and voice like Oasis, but much less moving
Added to albums to clean the house or take a long shower to. 100% shamelessly singable
