Surprisingly groovy. Vietnam slam poetry vibes. Reflects on self and society. Overall, not my thing. Tracks I liked: Cohesion Maybe Partying Will Help Favorite lyrics: "What of the people that don't got what I ain't got? Are they victims of my leisure?

Oct 16 2025

I like jazz, but this was a little too discordant for me. I liked what it was trying to do, though. A jazz ballet is a very fun concept.

The Yes Album by Yes
Oct 17 2025

A fun, classic rock romp. It gets exploratory and jazzy, at times, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. An enjoyable affair.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Oct 18 2025

Overall, pretty easy listening. Not something I’d be upset to hear on a random playlist or on the radio.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Oct 19 2025

A true classic, and an excellent album to put on in the background during a get together.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Oct 20 2025

A cultural icon for a reason. The honesty and rawness with which it discusses the unearned challenges faced by millions of Americans every day is sobering. The simple, acoustic accompaniment only goes to highlight Tracy Chapman’s beautiful voice and the message of her songs. Although the musical tone isn’t always my personal style, I can appreciate the artistry and skill behind the execution.

Is This It by The Strokes

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Oct 23 2025

A powerhouse voice and solid classic rock musical accompaniment.

Fun House by The Stooges
Oct 24 2025

Not at all my kind of thing. At best, it could be described as jazzy punk rock, but it seems to revel in lack of melody or harmony.

The Bends by Radiohead
Oct 25 2025

A rock staple for good reason. Not all the songs are my type, but you can feel the emotion and intent in each.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Oct 26 2025

You can feel the rawness of the experience and the energy in the room. Although Johnny Cash’s style has never resonated with me, personally, I can appreciate the emotional impact this must have had on everyone involved.

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Oct 27 2025

A fascinating album. It has the vibes and style of a Spanish album, but also with that distinctly French, early-2000’s quirkiness. A lovely, almost meditative, at times, collection.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Oct 30 2025

Musically and lyrically powerful. Has the melancholy and energy of Pink Floyd, but in a more orchestral arrangement.

Liquid Swords by GZA
Nov 16 2025

This isn’t really my thing, but I can always appreciate the style of 90’s rap.

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves
Nov 17 2025

A fun exploration of blending multiple more contemporary genres with modern country. I’m not the biggest fan of modern country, but this album still had some nice offerings.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Nov 18 2025

Some classic Radiohead. A solid listen.

Vespertine by Björk
Nov 23 2025

Very unique. Maybe a little too unique for my tastes.

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Dec 25 2025

A childhood classic for me. I thankfully never had the kind of life to be able to relate to the lyrics, but it always felt like I could. Legendary for a reason.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Dec 29 2025

A wonderful, musical insight into the experience of so many Americans.
