The Beastie Boys' trademarked sound exemplifies the feeling of the 90s. 4.5/5
Q-Tip's flow and voice are unreal and instrumental in creating an incredible project. The second half of this album is truly something special. Personally, this is not my favorite A Tribe Called Quest album, but it's definitely a clear 2nd to their 2016 LP. 4/5
Dated raps with very important messages over a ton of very fun instrumentals.
Beautiful vocals by Bobby and Eric Clapton shreds the ENTIRE album. This album is so close to being perfect. There's not a single skip! The only demerit from me the lack of variety. 4.5/5
Good album but nothing too spectacular
Thank you for the excuse to revisit this 5/5!
Sade has a beautiful voice. Nothing too crazy here though.
I might consider Neil Young a good singer if he was my uncle in my family. I had to fight to get through every song. 2/5
I can see why someone would enjoy this album but it's just not my particular cup of tea. Drab vocals and bland drums. 2/5
Fun 80s album
What an awesome and intimate performance by Johnny Cash. 5/5
Just another great James Brown performance, but I'm biased.
Surprisingly good album!
Nothing special in my opinion.
So, so good. It would be timeless if Dave Mustaine could scream instead of that weird low voice thing... I think this album is still a 5/5 despite that though.
This album is awesome but falls short from being perfect due to it's lack of variety. 4/5
Dolly is such a national treasure. 4/5
We love Norah in this house. Minimum 4 for her.
I'm biased but this album is so good. Can't get enough of salsa 4.5/5
Has some good moments but it was a very long and drawn out listen
Exactly the kind of stuff I love to hear. Just weird rock.
Such a classic album. Changes is awesome. 3.5/5
Classic album with 0 skips a lack of variety keeps it from being perfect. Instant 4.5/5
Has some fun and interesting moments. 3/5
I love albums where the artist just tells a story and Leonard Cohen crushes it. 4/5
Nothing too crazy in my opinion. Solid production. 3/5
If you have ears, you know this is a 5/5 album. I've been waiting on this one to show up.
I really kept wanting this one to end and it's not even that long. It's just not my tune I guess. 1.5/5
This album is so good man. The different languages and cultures being combined here make such an interesting project. 4.5/5
Fred has a very nice voice. He seems like the type of guy who has never purchased his own shoes. 3.5/5
Definitely has some classics on here, but not an album I would revisit again in its entirety. Solid background music for sure. No disrespect. 3.5/5
Solid David Bowie album. 4/5
BANGER ALERT 5/5
HEEEEEEYYYY MAAAANNN SLOW DOOOOOWWWWNNN
One of my favorite albums of all time from one of my favorite bands of all time. 5/5
Lovely work by Aphex Twin. I really respect their work but you have to be in the mood to listen to it. 3/5
Obviously, Adele is one of the best vocalists of this generation but the accompaniment piano, guitar, and drums compliment her performances so well throughout the album and they deserve their flowers too. 5/5
I wish I knew more about jazz to be able to rate this project more critically. It was very good and that's all I can say. 4/5
Heat. Just the sort of folksy stuff I love. 4/5
I can't wait to read some silly review trying to say this album isn't good. The tracks are long but the music is there and there's a lot of emotion and talent in here. 4.5/5
Definitely not my favorite Beastie Boys project. It sounds like they were having fun for sure, but I'm not sure if I'd choose this project if I wanted to listen to Beastie Boys. 3/5
Man I really thought I was going to like this album. I usually like rock like this but every one of the 14 songs sounded so similar that the fatigue set in quickly. 1.5/5
This is a certified hood classic.
It's a good album. I like it! It just isn't anything special or outstanding. Definitely something I could listen to on a drive somewhere nice or next to a fire. 3.5/5
A very influential album by Missy with extremely creative production even by today's standards. 4/5
Jack White has such an awesome and unique voice and I've loved hearing it since I was younger. I struggled to find a reason this album isn't a 5/5. So 5/5.
This album is pretty awesome. 4/5
This the type of music I would want to hear at a basement venue. Just good vibes and good music. Fun stuff. 4/5
Beautiful voice. A fun theme throughout. 4/5
This album is very spotty! It sounds like some songs were given a lot more care and love than others. Better mastering, mixing, and singing on some songs and then none of that on other songs. 2.5/5
Some sick beats in there for sure but I think it's longer then I'd prefer. 2/5
I thought it was a good rock album but nothing to write home about. 3/5
I grew up with this album so I'm biased but I always thought that this was such a unique and fun dance album. 4/5
Nothingburger album. Not your stepping stone is fun but that's all that's worth bringing up. 3/5
Before listening again I remembered this album as a 4-4.5/5 but after listening fully through over again for this list, it is so obviously a 5/5 Riders on the Storm is just so magnificent and the album as a whole is awesome and makes me feel like a weird uncle. 5/5
Definitely a great album. A good Beck album but I like odelay better. 4/5
This piece is so sick. 4/5
Now that I've had a couple albums in this vein, I can tell this one isn't as good as some of the others on this list. I was still feeling the urge to wiggle my finger though so. 3/5
I really enjoyed this album! It made 50 minutes in traffic fly by. 4/5
Such nostalgic 80s music. This album has Duran Duran's classics on it and is a joy to listen to. However, I never really find myself wanting to listen to them. I can't put my finger on it. 3.5/5
Man this was not my tune. I cannot happily sit through an hour of electronic VGM/Commercial music. 1.5/5
A classic album that I grew up listening to. I miss the old Kanye. 5/5
David Bowie is fun but this album was kinda bland in my opinion.Nothing crazy except that second track which was crazy in a weird way. 3/5
Led Zeppelin just rocks. 5/5
Cyndi can really sing but man this music can get a bit stale after a few songs. 3.5/5
Surprisingly better than what I expected! I love the blend of languages and it's pretty good pop! 3.5/5
A bunch of Beatles songs I haven't visited before. There's a reason they're one of the best bands of all time. Only note is the abrupt start to album. 4/5
I'm sick of this dude
Q-Tip's flow is one of the best. He just has what it takes to make you want to bob your head. 4/5
This album undeniably rocks. Unfortunately, there's a lack of variety throughout but I enjoyed every song. 3.5/5
Funky. 4.5/5
Not all albums with a popular song deserve to be on this list. 2/5
Definitely not what I expected! Nothing to write home about though. 3/5
I had never heard of Ash, but once Girl from Mars came on I started to get into the music and I felt like this song really propelled the rest of the album. 4/5
Fine album. Really just fine. 3/5
This list has shown me that I love these intimate live albums so much! 5/5
I like it if I just take it at face value. It definitely seems a bit derivative of a certain group of people but what's new? 3.5/5
Slightly better than the other 10 albums just like this one on this list. 2/5
Really just fine. Pretty similar throughout the album. 2.5/5
We Will Fall had to be shorter, man. No need for it to be almost a third of the album. 3/5
I won't knock off any stars for the album art even though I really want to. 5/5
I've been getting a bit burnt out by the list recently. I'll have to give this one another listen in the future and come back and adjust the rating but for now I feel like this is fine. 3/5
The Girl From Ipanema is fantastic. The album is great but I'm not sure there's too much standing out here. I can't give this a 5. 4.5/5
I trudged through the first time and found peak. 3/5
Has some really good songs on here (SBS) but kinda bleh for one of the biggest bands around. 3/5
PJ is not my particularly favorite singer but the music is fun. My glorious king Thomas Yorkenshire is feature so that adds .5 stars. 3.5/5
I had listened to some of this album previously and wasn't impressed. Upon second listen, it's such an interesting, moody project. 3.5/5
A really fun album with some fun beats. 4/5
Aggressively mediocre ska 3/5
There are so many classics in here for this to be below a 4. The sex interludes and skits are weird and uncomfortable to listen to so I'll knock off a point from being 5/5. 4/5
Great songs on here!
I feel like he has a good voice but can't sing very well. 4/5
Album was fine. Just not my tune. 2.5/5
Genius is not an exaggeration. 4.5/5
Just a guy chatting. 3/5
A nice little album! 4/5
Well performed and Green Onions was great of course but a lot of covers that were just fine to me. 3/5
3.5/5
What a jammer. Easily a 5/5
Holy mid. 2/5
Lucky to get a 2/5 from me. After 100 albums from this list, my patience for these albums that waste my time is wearing thin.
Came back to give it a 1 like it deserves.
The Smiths is one of those bands you really have to be in the mood for. 3/5
Nothing crazy. But it was good. 3.5/5
I was so worried when I saw this album was 82 minutes, but man Led Zeppelin does it again. 5/5
Why this album? Ample choices under the LCD Soundsystem discography. I guess that means I'll see him again later. *Sigh* this list is getting tiresome. 2.5/5
4/5
Rating this against other RADIOHEAD albums this one isn't my favorite. 4.5/5
Bruh 1/5
I actually enjoyed this album but I really felt like each song was missing... something. This seems like they were really onto something and hopefully figured it out in their later discography. I would say I'll listen to their other stuff, but the list has so much redundancy that I'll probably get to it organically. 3.5/5
