Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Feb 28 2026

I just about didn't listen to this cause I thought there was no way I would enjoy it but I was pleasantly surprised! A good chunk of this is just like inoffensive and forgettable but there are definitely some songs that had me listening closer and enjoying myself. Pretty strong B side Fav tracks: Luna, Strangered in the Night, Fooled Again (I Don't Like It)

Smash by The Offspring
Mar 01 2026

In one ear and out the other

Mar 02 2026

I've thought for a while now that every Nirvana song sounds the exact same and this hasn't convinced me otherwise

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Mar 03 2026

About what I expected from a Rolling Stones album, which is to say it's fine but not really my thing

Harvest by Neil Young
Mar 04 2026

Quite good! Definitely the best album we've gotten so far. Sufjan Stevens must have really liked Old Man Fav tracks: Old Man, Heart of Gold

Mar 05 2026

Surprisingly soulful and groovy for prog. Pretty good stuff Fav tracks: Glad, Empty Pages

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Mar 06 2026

The noise was the only interesting thing about Psychocandy so without it this is pretty boring

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Mar 07 2026

Truly one of the all time classic albums. Such densely layered rhythms Fav tracks: Crosseyed and Painless, The Great Curve, Once in a Lifetime, Seen and Not Seen

Different Class by Pulp
Mar 08 2026

This is just painfully boring to me. I guess I really don't like britpop

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Mar 09 2026

Joni Mitchell has always been one of those artists where I tend to like covers of their songs more than their own original recordings, but this album has given me a lot more appreciation for her as a recording artist herself. I like her vocals here quite a bit and the instrumentation is simple but very pretty, as much of the best folk music is Fav tracks: Little Green, All I Want

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Mar 10 2026

It's aged kinda poorly and it's not at all their best but damn if it isn't still fun

Aja by Steely Dan
Mar 11 2026

I expected to bounce off this pretty hard but it only just teeters on too slick and doesn't quite cross the line. There's definitely some good stuff here Fav tracks: Peg, Josie

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Mar 12 2026

Quite good, but not as impressive as Songs in the Key of Life Fav track: He's Misstra Know-It-All

Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Mar 13 2026

Pretty middle of the road post punk, with a little extra fuzz. Not bad Fav track: All of This & Nothing

Mar 15 2026

I usually really bounce off rap from this era but this worked surprisingly well for me. The rapping itself I wasn't the biggest fan of but I quite liked the beats Fav tracks: American Terrorist, The Cool, I Gotcha

Brothers by The Black Keys
Mar 16 2026

Music for a Lowe's commercial. Very dated and thoroughly uninteresting

Mar 17 2026

The grandiosity just borders on being overwrought but overall it's a pretty enjoyable album Fav track: Bullet the Blue Sky

La Revancha Del Tango by Gotan Project
Mar 18 2026

Makes for a nice chill listen, but it really doesn't sound much like tango to me

Arrival by ABBA
Mar 19 2026

Dancing Queen is a stone cold classic of course but I'm not sure anything else here is really notable. It's nice enough though Fav track: Dancing Queen

Sincere by Mj Cole
Mar 20 2026

I think a lot of this would be nice in the right context but sitting down and listening to over an hour of this is not particularly exciting. That said it's not unenjoyable Fav tracks: Crazy Love, Free My Mind

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Mar 21 2026

I'll take this over pop country any day but it's still not really my thing

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Mar 23 2026

It's kinda hard to appreciate a lyrics-focused genre when you can't understand the lyrics

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Mar 24 2026

Not quite every song here is a hit (namely the punk ones don't land for me) but I think there's more than enough great material to make up for it. So many bangers, so much variety, and so much fun Fav tracks: B-Boys Makin' With the Freak Freak, Sure Shot, The Update

Raw Power by The Stooges
Mar 25 2026

Not my favorite Stooges album. Feels overly tame by today's standards

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Mar 26 2026

I started out enjoying it somewhat but I got bored of it by the end Fav track: Lonely Planet Boy

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
Mar 27 2026

There's some charm in how completely of its time it sounds and some of the tracks are kinda fun to hear once or twice but a lot of this is really forgettable and the lyrics are often pretty bad

Disintegration by The Cure
Mar 28 2026

Wonderfully moody and full. Usually I'm not much of a fan of synths in these contexts but here they add such a great atmosphere that ties everything together so well. Of course there's also plenty of catchy guitar and bass lines to keep the energy up. All in all it makes for a gloominess that's more melodramatic and melancholy than just depressing Fav tracks: Disintegration, Plainsong, Fascination Street

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Mar 29 2026

Fun, energetic, and concise. An all around good time with a few particularly great songs Fav tracks: River Euphrates, Gigantic, Vamos

Rio by Duran Duran
Mar 30 2026

Like Japan but not as good. It's alright

Make Yourself by Incubus
Apr 01 2026

It's not good but it's fairly inoffensive

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Apr 02 2026

Neat sound. It's not every day you hear acoustic bass Fav tracks: Kiss Off, Gone Daddy Gone, Good Feeling

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 03 2026

Bad music made worse by the fact that there's 74 minutes of it. I think Anthony Kiedis is one of my least favorite vocalists ever

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Apr 05 2026

Quite good but it's no Hounds of Love Fav tracks: Heads We're Dancing, Love and Anger

Apr 06 2026

One of those albums that doesn't really have specific standout tracks but is just very enjoyable as a whole. Good improvement on the sound from 77, Eno's involvement adds a lot. Fav track: Warning Sign

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Apr 07 2026

Not my favorite post rock but still good

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Apr 08 2026

Not bad but pretty long without any particularly memorable songs

21 by Adele
Apr 09 2026

Not a fan

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Apr 10 2026

I've never been a big fan of Sinatra but at least most of these I haven't already heard a million times

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Apr 11 2026

Kinda boring. Don't love the sound of the vocals

The Score by Fugees
Apr 12 2026

A little slow and skit-heavy for my tastes but there's some good stuff here Fav track: The Score

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Apr 14 2026

I really don't get the appeal of this kind of rock Fav track: Thug

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Apr 15 2026

Very nice. It can become background music too easily if you don't pay attention but either way it's a good time Fav track: Part II b

Scott 2 by Scott Walker
Apr 17 2026

Very interesting for a late 60s pop record. I enjoyed it Fav track: Plastic Palace People

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Apr 18 2026

Really strong start and of course Mr. Brightside is a classic but most of these songs are misses Fav tracks: Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, Mr. Brightside

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Apr 19 2026

I don't think I like a single thing about this

Close To You by Carpenters
Apr 20 2026

I don't always love the directions these songs go but the arrangements are so pretty that I enjoy them regardless Fav track: We've Only Just Begun

Metallica by Metallica
Apr 21 2026

I expected to have a stronger reaction to this but it was just super boring

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Apr 23 2026

It's well made but none of these songs quite do it for me

Apr 24 2026

I don't have any particular connection to it so it doesn't land for me in the same way it seems to for so many others but it's certainly enjoyable. One of the better prog albums for sure

Pornography by The Cure
Apr 25 2026

It's definitely grown on me over the years, but I still prefer their following era Fav tracks: A Short Term Effect, One Hundred Years

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Apr 26 2026

I've never liked the two big hits from this album (One Way or Another especially gets under my skin) but the rest is pretty decent

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Apr 28 2026

Surprisingly fun for a britpop album

Parachutes by Coldplay
Apr 29 2026

Every element of this just feels kinda lifeless and unmoving. I don't mind listening to it but I wouldn't say I enjoy it either. I can't be bothered to feel strongly about it one way or the other

Parklife by Blur
Apr 30 2026

Pretty fun at times but it loses its charm by the end

The Stranger by Billy Joel
May 01 2026

Borders on cheesy at times but mostly manages to work for me. I've always mixed up Billy Joel and Elton John but I enjoy this more than anything I've ever heard from the latter Fav tracks: Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, The Stranger, Get It Right the First Time

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
May 02 2026

Just a solid poppy soul album Fav track: He Can Only Hold Her

Kimono My House by Sparks
May 03 2026

Unique and interesting but it's a little too wacky for me

Rocks by Aerosmith
May 04 2026

Honestly not bad for hard rock Fav track: Back in the Saddle

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
May 05 2026

It's perfectly fine for background listening but it's not really interesting enough to be more than that

Blackstar by David Bowie
May 06 2026

Interesting but I'm not the biggest fan of some of the vocal choices

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
May 07 2026

I'm not sure Bob Dylan will ever be quite my thing but this is still a pretty good listen Fav tracks: Like a Rolling Stone, Queen Jane Approximately

The Who Sell Out by The Who
May 08 2026

I respect how weird this is but it's just not very enjoyable to me. It just feels like a bunch of unfinished songs

May 09 2026

A bit of an exhausting listen but there's a lot of good stuff here Fav tracks: Unhappy, GhettoMusick, Hey Ya

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
May 10 2026

Not as mind-numbingly awful as Blood Sugar Sex Magik (perhaps only because it's shorter and more ignorable) but still not good

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
May 11 2026

I wasn't expecting it to sound so much like The Strokes but it was fine. Honestly I prefer the production on here to what The Strokes were doing

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
May 12 2026

Classic. One of my favorite albums to fall asleep to on a plane

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
May 13 2026

Quite good, but I wish it was a little funkier Fav track: Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
May 14 2026

Pretty good, but most of the songs I hadn't already heard were forgettable. I like her vocals Fav track: All I Really Want, You Oughta Know

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
May 19 2026

It's decent but not that exciting

Quiet Life by Japan
May 21 2026

You can definitely see where the sound they would expand on started here, but it's not quite great yet Fav tracks: In Vogue, Halloween, Quiet Life

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
May 27 2026

There are little bits I like but it's too country for me to really get into it Fav tracks: Dark End of the Street, Hot Burrito #2

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
May 29 2026

She's a great pianist but there's not all that much variety here. I wish they had From the Choirgirl Hotel on here instead

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
May 30 2026

Generally pretty good, but doesn't have much in the way of standout tracks like some of their other albums. Their debut deserves to be on this list far more than this does Fav track: Barbarism Begins at Home

Live! by Fela Kuti
May 31 2026

Solid Fav track: Ye Ye De Smell

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Jun 01 2026

It's fine. I was fearing it would be more blues rock revival influenced after the first song but it thankfully wasn't

Synchronicity by The Police
Jun 02 2026

Surprisingly good. Takes more risks than I would've expected Fav tracks: O My God, King of Pain, Synchronicity II, Walking in Your Footsteps

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Jun 04 2026

Not my kind of thing

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jun 05 2026

Poppier and more enjoyable than I expected given that I've never liked Psycho Killer. Definitely a solid debut Fav track: No Compassion

Be by Common
Jun 06 2026

Solid production overall, but the more soulful bits don't do much for me Fav tracks: The Corner, They Say

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Jun 07 2026

I don't care

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jun 09 2026

Classic

Fever To Tell by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jun 10 2026

Pretty standard garage rock revival. I don't really get the hype about Maps either

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.
Jun 11 2026

Holds onto its punk roots a little too tightly but it's still pretty good

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Jun 12 2026

Just a really solid album. I like the raw lo fi production and the songwriting is great too Fav tracks: Shatter, Explain It to Me, Canary, Divorce Song, Never Said, Fuck and Run

Orbital 2 by Orbital
Jun 15 2026

Good vibes, nicely cohesive and flows together well Fav tracks: Halcyon + On + On, Impact (The Earth Is Burning), Remind, Walk Now...

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jun 16 2026

Inoffensive but dull. There's really not much going on here

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Jun 17 2026

I was shocked by how recognizably hip hop this was (instead of rap rock). This is pretty crazy for 1984-- the production at least. The flows have aged a little more poorly Fav tracks: Wake Up, It's Like That

Hms Fable by Shack
Jun 18 2026

If I have to listen to one more of these boring ass britpop albums I'm going to scream

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Jun 19 2026

Not a fan of this kind of slow soul sound

All Directions by The Temptations
Jun 20 2026

Pretty strong first half, but the second half doesn't do much for me Fav track: Funky Music Sho Nuff Turns Me On

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Jun 21 2026

Really nice Fav tracks: You Walk Your Way, That Lady

Jun 22 2026

Alright fine I guess this one's not so bad. Decently enjoyable Fav tracks: Roll With It, Champagne Supernova

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Jun 23 2026

Disco isn't really my thing

Jun 24 2026

Great synthpop with a lot of rough edges, in the best way. Very fun Fav tracks: Say Hello, Wave Goodbye, Frustration, Youth, Sex Dwarf, Bedsitter

Woodface by Crowded House
Jun 25 2026

So aggressively mid

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jun 27 2026

Fiona Apple's music has never really clicked with me and this is no different

Histoire De Melody Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg
Jun 28 2026

I don't know French so I can't comment on the lyrics or subject matter but the instrumentals are quite good at least Fav tracks: En Melody, Melody

25 by Adele
Jun 29 2026

Honestly a little more bearable than 21, but still pretty boring

Debut by Björk
Jul 01 2026

My intro to Björk and the reason I originally fell in love with her. Although it's maybe not my favorite of hers anymore it's still a perfect album. Such infectiously catchy melodies and production that always surprises me with its depth. I will love this album forever Fav tracks: Human Behaviour, Come to Me, One Day, Crying, Big Time Sensuality, Like Someone in Love, Violently Happy

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jul 05 2026

One of very few country albums I can enjoy. Johnny Cash seems to be having a lot of fun

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Jul 06 2026

Kinda neat as a sound I'm not familiar with but it's not a very exciting listen

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Jul 08 2026

This is offensively, painfully dull. I would truly rather listen to white noise

Supa Dupa Fly by Missy Elliott
Jul 09 2026

Too RnB (not that that's surprising for a late 90s album) but there are some pretty interesting production choices here and there Fav track: The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Jul 11 2026

This does approximately nothing for me. I just am not a fan of his sound

London Calling by The Clash
Jul 14 2026

Lighter and more varied than I was expecting, but not really for me.

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jul 15 2026

Untouchable first half but the second half loses steam. Still a classic Fav tracks: Serial Killa, Gin and Juice, Tha Shiznit, Murder Was the Case (DeathAfterVisualizingEternity), G Funk Intro, Pump Pump

Jul 17 2026

I always want to like Public Enemy more than I do but the consistently high energy/speed beats with little variation makes it hard to stay focused on it

Sulk by The Associates
Jul 19 2026

Pretty neat. A lot more upbeat than Fourth Drawer Down, but still pretty unique

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Jul 20 2026

Pretty fun, but gets a bit stale by the end

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jul 22 2026

It's a little overly edgy while the sound feels kinda trite compared to more purely industrial acts, but it still makes for a good listen Fav tracks: Ruiner, Closer, Reptile

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Jul 23 2026

It's alright. Don't love the vocal effects

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jul 24 2026

Pretty good but a little topheavy

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jul 29 2026

Definitely the best of their albums I've heard yet. Consistently quite good Fav tracks: Monkey Man, Midnight Rambler

Eagles by Eagles
Jul 30 2026

Meh

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jul 31 2026

Pretty good but they still have yet to fully click for me
