This shit was low-key depressing. The opening track really sets this album my beautiful with haunting sad lyrics and beautiful instrumentation. The second song in the album is the only one I think I'm not huge on yet but I'm sure it will grow on me. Listening to this was my first time hearing the song pale Blue eyes which was great and I really liked how it showed guilt throughout the song before the reveal at the end. I thought murder mister was also really good it sounds like revolution 9 wanted to be. the closing track was also pretty and depressing just like the first one. The album flows pretty well then a couple places which might be intentional. One problem with this album Is the order sounding production with the hard panning but it works really well on murder mystery when they use it properly. I think I would give this a strong 9.
This was really cool. It had some great energetic guitar. Eddie has a great voice and made some amazing hooks. I really like The way the album was laid out. The first couple tracks been super energetic then some more mellow/baldy tracks it really made the album immersive. I think I'll need to listen to it paying more attention to lyrics but the songs that I was able to really comprehend the lyrics had great storytelling. This album was great and I think it'll just grow on me over time. I'll give it a Strong 7 to a light 8
I found out that I was going to listening to Irish punk I was really excited to see what it would sound like. I was not expecting Pirate music. This album was pretty enjoyable especially in the early tracks. It had a lot of energy and sounded fun especially if it were to be live music. The one major problem with this album Is that it drags. I felt like I was done with it about 40 minutes in then I had another 30 minutes to go. That might be more of a problem with me though. I don't particularly enjoy the lead singer's voice although it did fit the music well. I don't know much about Irish history but this album has got me interested in learning about it threw the lyrics. I would give this album a strong 6 to a light 7
What do I say. Let's start with context David Bowie is the goat.he is an amazing story teller and has an amazing ear for musicians. Making this project full vary dense. Whenever I'm listening to one of these songs I'll notice something new every couple seconds. On this album you can feel pressure threw the tones and production. This compliment with the lyrics with David Bowie grappling with the end. The complexity of the instrumentation also adds to it.Truly beautiful stuff. Strong 10.
This album is great bailed after great bailed. Thats is no sprise because it Elton John after all. This could be a mr.flaw because of the repirishon but John keeps it interesting. I love the singles especially tiny dancer because it feels so nostalgic. Indian sunset is probably my favorite song on the album. The story telling on it is amazing and it has a cool song structure. It's vary emotional and told an important story. The closing track was also great and somber. I like how it can flow in to the first track. This hole album was vary theatrical. This album just made me feel good. I give this album a 8
Axis bold as love is a powerful and psychedelic listen. This is no sprise because it's a Hendrix record so it has his powerful and psychedelic guitar playing.
The opening track is a cool skit with aliens invading a talk show with a cool use of station.
The first real track "up for the skies" is a nice funky rnb. I'm not sure if it's the best opener for such an epic album but I am still glad it's on the album. I like the use of his icon waa pedal on it giving the track a smooth feel.
I think the second track "Spanish castle magic" would have been a better opener because of how epic it sounds. I don't think the placement ruins the album or anything.
The guitar and bass tones on this track are vary punchy and the riffs are vary exiting. The lyrics are super psychedelic and fun. The solo is impressive but the style is not quite my thing because I prefer more Melody based ones.
"Little wing" is a butifal balide about a the felling of free spiritedness and loving. The guitar work is crazy on this song.I love the how effortless it sounds as if the guitar was playing it self. It's just an amazing song. One of the best on the album for sure and definitely deserves it's praise.
The next track "if 6 was 9" is another one my favorites. You can definitely here we're Kurt Cobain was inspired by this song with the interlude. I like the guitar tone. Jimi Hendrix was a master at tone.
The final track the self titled Is an amazing one and it has one of the greatest solos. It's moldic and epic this track is just amazing.
This album is vary constant and entertaining threw out. I don't think there's a bad track.
I'll give this album a strong 9
I was not familiar with Stephen stills before this but I guess I have to see more of his stuff because this record was pretty good. The album cover made it seem more acoustic but this was a Great multinational album. It had great guitar solos and I like his voice. The lyrics on it were good especially the closing track. Over all I think this album is a strong 7
I don't know it was good I just don't really feel like reviewing it. I'm tired and it didn't really click with me I'll probably have to look good a few more times and I know it's the most popular one on the app but I don't know it's probably just a 7 for me.
Ts was crazy. It sounded just like the album cover. I thought it had really cool production were every thing is punchy and distorted. Over all the songs weren't that consistent. I know it's a concept album but after listening to it I'm not really diving to dig deeper(I probably will at some point).I don't particularly enjoy the lead singers voice. The brum and bass on this are pretty good though. I'll give it a strong 6.
I really enjoyed this album. I liked all the African and German influences on it. This album really used all the features well. I also think that the time period can really be herd on Graceland because of the 80 system production. I'll give it a 6 or 7.
The soft bulletin was a very interesting record.
This exact album has been done better by many different artists. the opening track is cool and made me excited for the rest of the albums. Unfortunately most of the rest was bland and repetitive. Most of the songs were a drag.i feel like hookworms were trying to be unique It was more intensive than anything.some of the songs are way too long for what it was. It does not belong on this type of list.
Strong 4 to a light 3
Great bass, amazing guitar, meaning lyrics, heart pounding drums and the worst vocals you've ever heard. I've ever heard what else could you ever possibly want.
This album is very ronchy.amost fells like a old horror movie.
Pretty good but not nearly his best. Love the atmosphere and production
This definitely deserves to be on the list. One of the most important punk albums of all time creating the style and traditional sound. It can be pretty cliche at times though because lots of albums have copy that.
