Very long very jammy. whipping post is a great one

absolute banger. take five is a classic. this is my first time listening all the way through the album, I think it's a 4 for me.

so good. classic. big band big sounds. highlights are Come Rain or Come shine and Let the Good Times Roll

I'm halfway through and there are definitely some bangers (running up that hill, for example) but I don't think it's really my style in general. waking the witch is pretty insane, giving demonic another brick in the wall vibes. ok jig of life is pretty great too. maybe the second half if better, or maybe it's an acquired taste. going to need to re-listen to the album. ok wow hello earth is insane, maybe this is a great album and i was just stupid before. absolute demonic album, in a very cool way.

unfortunately, i don't think i'm a big fan of "heartland rock." highlights were Further on (Up the Road) and The Rising.

Soul-wrenching. 5 stars, easily the best and most consistently great album I've listened to yet.

Elvis Costello really confused my brain when I heard his name. Not because of his music, but for whatever reason when I look at this album cover my brain thinks he is Austin Powers. Also the name "Elvis Costello" makes me think of both Elvis and Abbott and Costello, so I had no idea what this album was gonna be like. Miracle man is good. There's some strange country twang in this album (pedal steel guitar in stranger in the house).

The album goes from fun and mostly palatable and gets progressively insane until it culminates in the final song Voodoo Dolly, which sounds a little like if you put knives into a garbage disposable and turned it on. I liked it. (Spellbound, Arabian Nights, and Halloween were highlights). originally I gave this a 3 and then went back and gave it a 4. It's so haunting and eerie I keep coming back and listening to this album.

Gallows Pole thru Bron-Y-Aur Stomp is one of their best 4 song runs.

I'm not sure if the reason I don't like this is that I don't like reggae punk or because I don't like the vocals on the album, but I did not like it much

beautiful vocals. sounds like something you'd here in a cafe. not sure if they doobie-doobie-doos are doing it for my though. not my favorite jazz album, not my least either.

I did not think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Some of the best hip hop beats I've ever heard. I liked the Maryland call out in Vibes and Stuff and North Cakalacky in Scenario.

Not my favorite of Adele's but there are some bangers for sure. The Water Under the Bridge-River Lea run is sick.

now this is an album that makes you think "huh?" "what?" "how??" Zappa was ahead of his time. hot meat hot rats hot cats hot damn

If you like hard rock/punk you will like it. If not, you won't.

the bombs going off in rainy day in june is a fun/dark twist. this album is kind of like the zip bid dee doo wop of the 60s.

hmm difficult to describe. first time through I thought it was awful, second time through I'm realizing there are some redeeming things, although melody is not one of them
