Listened at work so it was mostly in the background. I didn't really hear any of the lyrics but it was overall fun to listen to and had a good vibe. This was also my first rolling stone record, I don't fully understand the hype yet but I can get why people like them. Probably like a 3/5 for me, could definitely change with a few more listens.

Yeah this was definetly not for me, id give it like a 1.5/5. i can see why other people would like it tho, he has a nice voice and good flow but i just cant get behind a some of the stuff here especially about the beating women and the sex in the interludes and stuff. i dont really like or listen to alot of rap music and this kind of reminded me why. I did think some of the songs had good storytelling tho like the one where he was robbing something and the beats were pretty good overall. I am glad i listened tho.

I enjoyed this! I loved all the horns and the guys voice had a nice grit to it. There were a couple songs that had arrpeggios throughout which annoys me but I would definitely listen to it again 3.5/5

Okayyy tbh I liked this one, I enjoyed all the electric guitar parts and one of the songs had a really pretty intro that suprised me and I really wished the song continued like that 😭. omg finally done...the more i listened to this album the more i didnt like it. I enjoyed it at the start but about halfway through i started to get sick of it. Also the closer i listened to it the more i didnt like it either. I feel like it doesn't really stand out from any of the other british rock stuff ive listened to. The cover of the album is pretty tho and im sure there are some songs i would like if i listened to it more but i don't want to listen to this album again and hear I CAN BE YOUR SMOOTHIE (i think thats what it was saying). If it was just like the first 12 songs i wouldve given it a 3/5 but now im giving it a 1.78/5.

ooh yeah my soul feels buttered after this one. I think this is my favourite so far off of this list. I loved all the strings and the grandiose feel of the album especially the 1st and 3rd tracks. The 2nd one was good but didn't stand out to me and the last track was half spoken word but it told an interesting story which i enjoyed. I also liked the fact that it was only 4 tracks but the total run time was like 45 minutes or something, which really gave each song time to develop its own unique feel.
Yeah definitely the best so far, would 100% listen again, 4.75/5

I don’t think I would listen to it again, it’s not really my vibe kinda similar to the other British groups on this list. I was happy that we finally got a female singer tho. Maybe I would like it with more listens but I doubt it. I also think that the vocals were kinda drowned out by all the other instruments and could’ve been more upfront in the mix.

I didn’t mind this, I haven’t listened to a lot of funk or jazz records before but i enjoyed some parts more than others, I liked his style of singing, the horns and the groove of the songs but some of the sounds that are maybe bass or percussion? I’m not sure but there were some sounds that just don’t really sound good to me. Maybe that would change with a few more listens but I don’t think this would be something I would return to. Tbh this one really didn’t stand out to me. I listened to it while on a run and the whole time I wished I was listening to something that I liked lol. It wasn’t bad though but everything about it was just meh to me. I couldn’t remember a single song if you put a gun to my head. I’m beginning to think the punk genre is not for me (suprise). There were some nice bass lines though I think and the drumming was good, I would not listen again. 2.3/5

Man I wish I listen to THIS on my run omg I loved this. There was a good balance of upbeat rock songs, some slower songs and even a piano ballad or two. His voice was great and paradise by the dashboard light featured a women whose voice meshed incredibly well with his. I also loved how piano forward this record was with it being featured prominently on alot of the upbeat songs and not just on the slower ones. I feel like piano is mostly used for slower songs these days which is fine but a fast, upbeat piano can be so fun and it goes well with like every instrument including electric guitars. Anyway I loved this, would definitely listen again and I hope there’s more of this guy on the list. Apparently this is like one of the best selling albums of all time and I see why, it was so fun to listen to, I had a great time. 5/5

This one was kinda boring tbh, it really just sounded like the guy was talking the whole time, I didn’t really care for his flow. Ok so this is Rolling Stones #1 metal album of all time? I’m not a metal person so maybe I don’t get it but I don’t why this is like the best. That was great, I loved it. Her voice is so stunning and I loved all the ad libs she added, it genuinely sounded like she was having so much fun in the studio. There were also quite alot of different genres here which made each song refreshing to listen to although they are all like undeniably her. My only complaint was that some songs have very repetitive instrumental loops that go on throughout the whole song which could annoy me on future listens. Other than that, would 100% listen again, 4.45/5

First Radiohead album on this list…I wonder how I’m gonna feel about it cause Radiohead songs usually have to grow on me quite a bit before i actually like them.
There’s quite a blend of electronic and real instruments on this one, you can see how kid an influence them lol. Another thing I think this list is making me realize how much I prefer how real instruments sound compared to electronic sounds (excluding electric guitar ofc). I really enjoyed all the strings they added, especially on the back half of songs, my favourite of which is def reckoner, probably will be my fav song on the record. There were also some lo-fi (I think) sounding tracks on here like house of cards which I was suprised by as I don’t think the Radiohead stuff I’ve listened to showed that side of them.
Once again though I can’t understand a word thom yorks is saying which tbh I think really prevents songs from connecting with me on an emotional level.
The drums in videotape remind me a bit of the drums in snow globes though very much toned down.
Overall though I enjoyed listening to this! I liked pretty much every song and I can see why this is seen as one of their best albums. I do think a lot of the songs will grow on me as well. Probably a 4.01/5

I really enjoyed this!! I loved how magical some of the songs sounded with tbh what sounded like wind chimes to me and though she didn’t really raise her voice that much throughout the album, the few times she did gave me chills. I also loved the strings and harps especially the strings on the last song. There were a couple weird elements that I wasn’t sure about like some of the clanking sounds I wasn’t really fond of but that could change with another listen which I will definitely be doing. 4.3/5

This was right up my alley, very folksy and guitar focused with a hint of strings here and there. I very much enjoyed it and I think I would like it even more with further listens. I also really liked the one with the female voice singing with him, i probably would’ve liked the whole album more if she sang it but his voice wasn’t too bad regardless. There were a couple tracks in the middle that had very repetitive parts that I didn’t really like and I think could be removed like this bead is for Siobhan which repeats ‘/ good time, a good time and real good time’ over and over which got annoying. but other than that really enjoyed this one 3.76/5

I enjoyed this I would say, I think I made a mistake by listening to all of what I think were the deluxe tracks. I heard ‘we are family’ and ‘we’re lost in music’ wayyy too many times, the 2 8 minute remix’s per song was unnecessary. It felt like I was sitting in an old grey scale cabin waiting for some new medical treatment that I am Guinea pig for. I didn’t mind this, I liked the stings and horns though a lot of the songs blended together and I wasn’t a huge fan of the guys voice. Again I am working on other things rn so I’m a little distracted. I do think I would listen to this again at least once but from this listen I thought it was alright for me. 2.819/5
I’m really liking the instrumentals and overall vibes of the track so far, lots of mellow electric guitar and I like the singers voice, it’s almost operatic. The lyrics tho…they almost all are about girls and fucking. This kinda feels like the album a 15th century British rake would make lyrics wise.
Ooh there’s also another guy singing now and he’s also pretty good.
Yeah tbh I really enjoyed that lol if it weren’t for some of the weird ass lyrics I would like it sooo much better tho. The vibes were pretty immaculate tho so I’m gonna give it a 4.112/5
This was rap/hip-hop so it wasn’t really my style but tbh I think I like it the most out of the rap records on this list asides from maybe snoop dogs.
Probably bc the lyrics weren’t all about bragging and fucking women and in fact I’m pretty sure there was a song about telling men to respect a women’s decision when she says no which has not been something I’ve heard before on these kinds of records. There was of course some song about gold diggers and what not but i didn’t really mind it. Anyway the guy had good flow but the beats were kinda sparse and boring at times. Overall id say 3.00034/5
