The Queen Is Dead
The SmithsKinda boring. Didn’t feel like an album I needed to hear.
Kinda boring. Didn’t feel like an album I needed to hear.
That was a really boring album. Like Bruce has some good stuff but this was not engaging at all.
Not good. Lead just kinda talks during the songs, not in a spoken word or rap way, but just lazy not singing. Would be better fully instrumental, as some songs almost were.
Obviously HC is a classic, and so are some other songs I didn’t know were Eagles’ songs.
Easily one of the best classic rock albums.
Meh. I know Brown was a talented, high energy performer, but this album didn’t deliver.
Decent mellow singer-songwriter album.
Kinda boring. Didn’t feel like an album I needed to hear.
I can see why it did well with the poignant lyrics, but it’s basically a spoken word album. Rap without solid beats is hard to listen to repeatedly.
Unique vocal sound. Kinda funky 70s rock.
Solid classic rock album; everyone knows the hits. Vocal style isn’t my favorite but I can’t dislike the rock.
What. A short instrumental synth album.
It was a fine old-timey album.
I don’t like metal. Incoherent screaming isn’t entertaining.
Well that was a classic. Finally.
A decent old pop album.
Not that great. Lacking vocals and boring tunes.
Their hits are classics, but man I don’t actually like their music. It’s too peppy/disco for me.
Poignant lyrics and soulful music, worth a listen.
It was an okay oldie album. Didn’t seem that special.
Some songs were decent rock, others were strangely just talking with guitar backup. Not enough rock to make me like the country.
Definitely one of the better pop-funk-disco albums of the 80s.
Not good. Lead just kinda talks during the songs, not in a spoken word or rap way, but just lazy not singing. Would be better fully instrumental, as some songs almost were.
Obviously HC is a classic, and so are some other songs I didn’t know were Eagles’ songs.
What was that. Weird confusing sounds
Kinda sounds like Fleetwood Mac, just not as iconic. More folk-country
I did not like that country music. Just not good.
The man can sing, that’s not news to anyone.
It was an interesting spoken-word / r&b album.
Foreign language albums are tough to judge on lyrics, obviously, but the rhythms were nice and I enjoyed it.
Ya know, a decent singer/songwriter album.
Classic rock album. Essential listening, though you should have heard the hits already.
A 90s grunge rock band. Not the best, but not bad.
Kind of a mellower pop-rock from Radiohead. More like Coldplay than pre 2k grunge.
That was comfortable. Can’t think of a better description for soft 70s indie pop.
Eh, nothing too special.
I’m just not a huge stones fan. They’re fine, just not my fave.
More old somewhat synth stuff. Not engaging enough.
Not my favorite mellow punk-grunge rock. Just not that entertaining.
Chill light 90s pop. Reminds me of early Gwen ska.
Light folksy singer. Not bad.
Decently r&b soul album.
Phenomenal light-pop synth album. I think they’re considered ground-breaking but it doesn’t matter I enjoyed it.
Interesting r&b. 4 long songs.
I didn’t like this much. Reminded me of quirky old Halloween jams, but not as nostalgic.
Awesome jazz/rock big band.
I know people love him but this album was terribly boring.
This felt like the ambient soundtrack of a sonic game. Fun, techno-y, and mostly instrumental.
I stopped about half way through the 69 love songs, cause they’re all just chill 90s love songs. Fine, but not memorable.
Decent classic rock.
Kinda like early Beatles if they were just one man and not as exciting.
Decent Metallica album. I’m not their biggest fan but still a fine album.
Starts with the classic, then okay rock.
I’m not usually a live-album fan, but that was awesome. I can imagine how wild the club must have been.
Decent old jazz album.
He has a great voice, duh, but 50s music was super mellow, just a man singing with a orchestra.
Good European big-hair 70s rock.
Decent old pop. I don’t love the sound, but it’s well done.
Kinda felt like generic punk rock.
Quality stuff, including shooting the sherif.
It’s a zeppelin album. Solid classic rock. Starts with the best - immigrant song.
Decent older Spanish jazz-blues stuff.
I didn’t like this at all. Vocals were uninspired and for an era of classic rock their sound was woefully lacking.
Decent. Better than the other Bowie album this site offered.
Nope, didn’t like that enough to finish all 29 songs.
This didn’t do much for me. Quirky 70s music.
Amazing voice and awesome afro-American album. Variety is great and the click songs are unique. I don’t even mind not understanding half of the album that isn’t English.
Meh.
Easily one of the best classic rock albums.
Kind of a nice lackadaisical album.
When I struggle to think of memorable features of an album the day after listening it was probably generic 70s pop stuff.
50s songs are often short and boring. For that time maybe this was exciting but not anymore.
This was a weird and very 90s album. Just kinda mixed all pop styles from then into one.
Eh, this just didn’t do anything for me.
More dumb 70s music. This site isn’t a 1000 albums you need to hear, it’s just random generic crap.
The funky jazz beats and sax rifts are great, but the vocals disappoint. Would be better as an instrument album.
Mostly instrumental jams, would probably go well behind a casual driving game.
Surprisingly variable song type/style through the album.
Hendrix can play the guitar, that’s obvious. Singing is secondary, but he’s solid at that too.
Very 90s punk, decent lead singer, easily comparable to Gwen, whiny spoken vocal parts.
Like most pop bands of the 60s it makes sense to compare them to the Beatles; these guys aren’t more inventive or exciting.
Not my favorite RHCP album. They’re clearly talented, but really hit their stride after californication.
That was a really boring album. Like Bruce has some good stuff but this was not engaging at all.
Dark, gravely voice. Melodic album, you’d really have to be in the mode for this one, not a listen on loop thing.
It didn’t catch my attention enough to remember the next day. Genetic 80s music.
Didn’t love it. Another average old album.
Really solid bluegrass album.
That was boring and quite. Not like poorly recorded they just sang softly, but not enjoyably.
She’s great.
That was like bad Sonic game background music. I’d rather listen to good Sonic music.
Talented, yes. Kinda boring by today’s standards, also yes. Music from the 50s/60s just moved at a slower pace. His blues/jazz is great tho.
Classic 70s/80s (harder) rock band.
I’ve always enjoyed Sting’s work and his stuff with The Police is great.
Eh, I didn’t like her singer-songwriter country sound that much.
I don’t like high-pitched 80s girl-band pop. Their’s is probably some of the more tolerable though.
I think it was some decent older heavy rock.
Decent mostly instrumental movie soundtrack. Not as great as Interstellar or LotR, but acceptable.
Entertaining R&B / reggae album. Ms. Lauryn Hill has a wonderful voice so the singing shines past the great rap.
Garbage. Almost no vocals, just grunge strumming a guitar. Waste of time listening.
Not sure what to call the genre. They sing, maybe light mellow pop? Pretty simple guitar/drum backing.
Eh, kinda boring. Generic British punk rock.
Some kind of indie band. Not bad, but not wildly memorable either.
Enjoyable unique rock band.
Tiny dancer is a classic; the rest is fairly folky for Elton but still enjoyable.
I didn’t know the song name but everyone has probably hear green onions sweet melody at some point. The rest is pleasant jams as well.
Pretty chill 60s South American artist.
Not necessarily his best album but still decent.
Not very memorably instrumental stuff. Not bad, just nothing too special.
Eh, the singer was mostly incoherent. Tunes weren’t that great either.
Entertaining classic southern rock album.
Solid r&b album. Pretty simple rap cadence throughout but no mumbling so I enjoyed it. Also not a sex/drugs album.
I don’t like rap. Is the guy decently talented? Yeh. I don’t have other British rap to compare against and I won’t seek it out.
Not that great rock. Don’t love the vocals.
I know who he is, but I’m not impressed by his debut album.
He is quite the mellow singer/songwriter. There is no urgency in his music, just peacefully goes through the words. I know he inspired many cause I’ve enjoyed covers of some of his songs.
Decent old blues/rock big-band album. Solid harmonica jams.
Classic soulful love songs. Great voice, reminds me of Jackson.
Good r&b album. I like the beat.
