All your favorite rock bands fucking love this album.
It’s for the children
fuck eric clapton
When I started listening to this I was confused and almost offended. Like I thought I was being pranked. I thought somebody recorded randy newman trying to do an impression of the clash, and I was not sure at all why this album was so critically praised. As I listened through I warmed up to it a little bit, I enjoyed the more punk-type stuff at the end of the album, and overall it was a mostly enjoyable if not strange album.
Hard to overstate how massively influential this album was to 21st century rock music. Has a couple songs that are kinda weak and sound the same but overall this rules
This thing just goes hard non-stop for 36 minutes. the lyrics are maybe the weakest part by being either very corny, or problematic (jailbait). Everything else is killer, lemmy’s voice is one of a kind and this has some of the best guitar work I’ve heard in a long time
I’d heard some Yes songs before but never actually listened through an album. Crazy how much of them you can hear in the 70s/80s prog rock bands that came in later. There’s a few weak points on this album but overall the instrumental work on here and composition is very impressive
Never been a huge lou reed fan. I haven’t listened to any of his or VU’s stuff in a long time so I figured this would be a good opportunity to re-evaluate my feelings. Turns out yep, it still sucks.
Queen rules, such a fun listen.
I can certainly appreciate this album as “art”, it picked a direction and really went with it. Maybe it’s an acquired taste, as I started listening I found it pretentious, grating, and almost unlistenable, but I warmed up to it by the time I reached the end. I thought there were some things that were really interesting production-wise and the lyrics are evocative and well-crafted.
It does like 12 different genres all amazingly well. Awesome album.
Very weird, very interesting. There’s two really good singles and the rest is kind of a mish-mash of varying quality.
Very solid dad rock album
Impossible to listen to and not bob your head constantly. Absolute banger.
This rocks
It’s like Pixies meets Pavement. Which in theory is cool but in actuality I’d rather just listen to Pixies or Pavement. Couple standout songs, the rest is fine.
Never heard of this band before. Nice indie-pop guitar driven rock, liked it a lot even though I could only understand like 60% of the words they were saying
Funny how at the time their whole schtick was considered so scandalous and controversial, while in hindsight it’s just kinda corny. Liked the album, it was fun, not great.

It’s a vibe
Just how I felt when listening to transformer, I’m just not a Lou Reed guy. I get it, I see why he’s important but it just doesn’t work for me. Should I give this album a higher score because I at least understand it’s cultural significance? Probably. Am I going to? Nah.
Like the vibes on this album a lot. I do wish I could understand literally a single lyric though. It’s impressively Scottish.
Kinda fun, but not my style of music.
It’s for the children
It was definitely interesting?
It mostly sounds like noise. On some of the songs that’s a good thing and it’s used in an interesting way, and sometimes it’s not my fav. Overall good.

One of the best rap albums of all time, and one of the best albums regardless of genre. Just so good.
This is the Devil's music. Won't somebody please think of the children??????
A lot of fun, really enjoyed it.
All your favorite rock bands fucking love this album.
There will never be anyone else quite like eminem. I don’t think this is his best album but it’s definitely up there.
4.5, this was dope. Really good britpoprock with some cool psychedelic elements sprinkled in
Ultimate dad rock
i ain’t listening to all that i’m happy for u tho or sorry that happened
Probably the weakest of the first 4 albums, but definitely one of their more interesting ones. Feels like a transition, figuring out a new style that they would do a great job incorporating back into their blues rock sound in IV.
Yes.
One of those albums that spawned an entire genre of people trying to copy it and nobody else even came close.
I’m mostly pro-U2, and I do think this is a good album, but I’m pretty sure half the tracks on this album are the exact same song just with slightly different delay setting on the edge’s guitar
If you had never heard of meat loaf before and you looked at this album cover you would have a very specific idea of what you think this album would sound like, and then you would be very surprised when you listen to it and it’s billy joel if he were a theater kid that got bullied a lot in high school
Fun fact, fogerty is actually saying “born on the bay, ooh” referencing the fact that the band is from the SF bay area. there’s no way they’re trying to pretend they’re from louisiana, that would just be silly
merry chrysler
fuck eric clapton
yep
very good, but deja vu takes everything this album does well and does it like twice as good
4.5 People can say what they want about taylor swift but this album fucks
it’s a good album but fuck ryan adams
I mean, yeah.
