Gasoline Alley
Rod StewartBoring, pedestrian, uninteresting boogie-woogie/blues rock that is made nearly unlistenable by Rod's horrible voice. Honestly only made it halfway through before I gave up.

Every song is a banger or is super memorable. I listened to this album years ago and still recall so much of it. Between hypnotic electronic ragas to and cryptic political rock bops, this album has a little something for every mood.
I was going to give this 4 stars at first but after reflecting, there really are no flaws and it's a very compelling record. I love the juxtaposition of poppy dance beats with dark, megalomaniac lyrics. An absolutely standout record.
Fine. 2.5/5. Had some more out less memorable tunes. Enjoyed the alt country mixed with indie vibes. Otherwise feel no reason to revisit.

Funky and a treat to listen to.
I was not expecting to like this as hip hop typically does not excite me very much. However, I loved the sampling, the plain accounts of real-life struggles, and the group dynamic. A highly enjoyable album for me.
Jimi is great, not the best effort but still very good.
Enjoyed this way more than I expected.
Old punk sucks. Listen to Minor Threat instead.
Can't see what the hype is. There were a few okay riffs but not particularly exciting or interesting.
I have loved this album for years. Gladly take it over OK Computer any day of the week. It still feels fresh every time I listen to it.
Raw, energetic, and somehow not that interesting to listen to.
Fine. Liked the combo of jazz and hip hop but felt iffy about a lot of the lyrics.
Pretty solid album. Always fun to hear the one song you know from the radio but never knew who sang it. Loved the Sabbath nods.
Sexist songs aside, this is truly an incredible album. Haunting how so many problems afflicting the Black community continue to oppress them today. Listen close: it's a warning.
Some interesting prog-rock elements.
Couldn't wait to be done with this album from the lyrics alone.
Old punk still isn't great. California Uber Allies is the only memorable song for a reason
Kinda funky, kinda fuzzy. Listenable but not memorable.
Pretty good bluesy riffs. Finally realized he's saying "hard to handle" after all these years.
Well produced and very boring.
Some of the actual best songs ever created.

Honestly I can see why people loved his music. It holds up well today.
It was fine. The hits were good but I think this is a bit advanced for my hip-hop tastes.
Such an odd album. It's so sparse but it really works.
Really solid, great intro to shoegaze.
Fairly straightforward country, not terribly offensive.
Delightfully funky.
A delightful and soulful record. I can see myself putting this on in the background for numerous occasions.
A solidly 90's record. Enjoyable throughout.
Really great sound. Shorter, to the point, and beautiful songs. Weirdly sexist last song but hey, it was the 60s.

An incredible album. There are a few clunkers that could have been dropped and brought the runtime down away from an hour. Overall, an incredibly heavy and introspective album with some of the best vocal harmonies in rock music.
I absolutely did not think I would like this and it blew me away. It's such a hot-ass record. I think it really captures the spirit and electric energy that rock 'n roll has always striven for.
Some of the best vocal harmonies I've ever heard.
Shit rips.
It was acceptable. I could see why someone would be nostalgic for this.
My guess is the editors said "hey we should put that really good Foo Fighters record on here. What was the name of it? I think it was their first record." And that's how this record accidentally ended up on this list.
Oh so one of the best albums of all time plays the same re-hashed twelve bar blues that had been played for the past 30 years and features cringe-inducing lyrics about teenage sexuality that makes me want to take a shower? lol ok. Only interesting song is Round And Round.
Very 90s, but enjoyable, hypnotic techno.
I do not understand why these one-hit wonder albums are on this list.
Old punk still sucks
I liked it. A fantastic background album.
Great songs and and production
It was listenable. Had some very light shoegaze elements that I enjoyed.
The most listenable old punk on this list so far, and probably only because it's just The Beatles with more distortion and weird vocals.
A definite improvement in songwriting from their previous effort. Still not a lot to write home about though.
Not the most iconic album. Still really good, but I don't resonate with the reception at the time when comparing it to the other standout albums.
Riffs kick ass
Imagine creating one of the best albums of all time where a) all the songs are instrumentals and b) you only wrote three of them. An absolutely killer sound that I think everyone is familiar with and probably have no idea who played it.
The composition and singing is really phenomenal. It doesn't have a ton of catchy songs, but they are all solid.
I hated every moment of this album.
Seems fine.
The funkiest album. So good it will make you want to throw your grandmother out a window.
Rock songs played on acoustic guitars often reveal how boring the songs are. The opposite is true with Nirvana's Unplugged. They were masters of their craft and the vital essence of those songs sound just as good on acoustic guitars as they do on the albums.
Absolute banger after banger.
Listenable, slightly gazey.
Dancy, funky, interesting
First half not great, second half spacey and cool.
90s as fuck. Chill and easy to listen to.
Incredible playing, solid songs, not a lot for me to really latch on too.
Nick carries the record, but it's a heavy load.
Not what I expected from Eno, but maybe the more ambient stuff is later. There are visions of what is to come. 2.5
Funky and chill
Does not slap nearly as hard as other efforts.
A rambling an incoherent bore.
Beats ass. Never thought I would be into industrial but this very enjoyable throughout.
I sort of forgot I was listening to music during the record.
Unique pastiche of sounds.
Really solid effort. Street Spirit may be one of the greatest recordings of all time.
Interesting in some parts, long-winded in others. Worth a re-listen.
Genuinely loved this.
Truly fantastic record, top to bottom. Holds up extremely well today.
Wild that I can enjoy country when it's a little more anti-capitalist, talks about drugs, and is genuinely clever and witty.
It was acceptable to listen to. 2.5
At this point it's clear I simply don't care for Nick Cave. His voice is great but there's not enough going on for me to truly enjoy his style.
Seems like a record that was important at the time but is far too sleazy and melodramatic for me today.
Simple, stripped down, listenable.
Nice, serene, atmospheric.
Great production, great songs. It feels weird to give it 5 stars because I don't particularly find it groundbreaking, but it feels like a flawless record.
Way more psychedelic than I was expecting, in a great way. A fantastic album.
It's like where coffee shop jazz was invented.
Some catchy hits.
A very diverse alt-country sound. Would love to re-listen.
Funky AF, as it should be.
The best Beatles album, bar none.
The better of the punk albums I've listened to so far. International Robots is a standout.
One of the greatest modern rock albums.
Obviously great
Didn't like most of these songs excepting Heart Shaped Box and All Apologies.
So boring I had to turn it off.
Interesting proto-electronic music
Super interesting beats and ideas.
Phil sucks and I am unconvinced he's not racist.
When you make an album so good it starts a genre and becomes the standard to which all others are held.
Not super my thing, but nothing glaringly bad.
Bob is great.
Its fine. He's a talented musician playing music I don't really care about.
Solid modern soul
Older stuff is def better but this is pretty solid.
Seemed fine I guess.
One great songs and then a lot of slow tones to sound like nostalgia
