Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Sep 12 2023

Cool stuff but reggae vibe is too monotonous for me

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 13 2023

Cool

Sep 14 2023

Funky drum loops cool Songwriting sometimes unmemorable and long winded Some good hooks Great voice Very soulful

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Sep 15 2023

Great tunes, harrowing war song, lovely hooks, dreamy voice

xx by The xx
Sep 18 2023

Boring, not dynamic enough. Timid atmosphere is cute but doesn't hold its own for the entire runtime.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Sep 19 2023

Exceptional lyrics, nice songs. I really want to like Dylan, but I can't get past his vocal timbre and delivery.

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Sep 20 2023

Great drum loops, cool bass lines. Works well if you get lost in the repetition, not so well if you're too actively focusing on it.

Two Dancers by Wild Beasts
Sep 21 2023

I can appreciate the soundscapes the band creates with the guitar effects, drum loops and bass lines, though none of the songs really stick.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Sep 25 2023

Cool record, great production. Unfortunately held back by its length and monotonous tempo choices.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Sep 26 2023

Splendid. Love the moody songs, production and varied songwriting. Will come back to this.

The Libertines by The Libertines
Sep 27 2023

Something about the sleazyness of it all annoys me to hell.

Sep 28 2023

Excellent riffage. If not for Mustaine's vocals, I might have actually liked this band. That blues cut in the back end is weird as hell.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Sep 29 2023

Nothing crazy songwriting wise, but definitely a fun listen with some good tunes

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Oct 04 2023

There are albums in this book that make you appreciate other albums.

Soul Mining by The The
Oct 05 2023

Starts out fun, but drags on. Monotonous, overstretched songs.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Oct 06 2023

Meh

1999 by Prince
Oct 09 2023
Imagine by John Lennon
Oct 17 2023
The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Oct 23 2023

Great piano playing, not quite engaging enough for me

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Oct 24 2023

Some songs great, some songs just okay

Imperial Bedroom by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Oct 25 2023

The wrong Elvis

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Oct 27 2023

Can't handle his voice, also wtf those racist lyrics in "Rednecks" ???

Ten by Pearl Jam
Oct 31 2023

Fantastic songs, great guitar work, I love the production and sounds.

Suede by Suede
Nov 03 2023

Band sounds cool but his voice

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Nov 06 2023

So much swagger, so much arrogance, so much fun

Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Nov 08 2023

Vocals and monotonous songwriting ruin it for me

Destroyer by KISS
Nov 09 2023

Guitar sounds are great, bass as well. I appreciate the thematic sounds in the production (the car sounds indicating a journey of some kind). I don't connect with the lyrics at all. They actively make me want to vomit and turn the record off. So that's what I did.

evermore by Taylor Swift
Nov 10 2023

I appreciate the production and I love the sound of her voice on this record. The songs are nice enough, though I don't think I will be coming back to this one because of the strong disconnect I feel with the lyrical themes.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Nov 13 2023

Lovely to hear a legend like him in what seems to sound like his prime. Much charismatic talk in between that slows it down a little too much, but a fun record nevertheless.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Nov 14 2023

Harmless; but also, nothing memorable.

Dog Man Star by Suede
Jan 27 2025

Vocals throw me off. Guitar work is cool.

Jan 28 2025

Couldn't be anything else than a five. Sometimes horrible but truly iconic vocals, fantastic songs and some greater-than-the-original covers.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Jan 30 2025

The goofy vocals are.. goofy - but the beats and samples are so fantastic. The record is weighed down a bit by filler tracks and skits that don't always land, but in general, I had a good time with this album.

Nowhere by Ride
Jan 31 2025

Opens with a great drive to it - really feels like a ride. Slows down a bit with some nice emo and shoegazey elements which I don't mind at all. From there, I can't help but feel like it drags on a little bit too much...

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Feb 03 2025

Great. Will come back to this 100%. Lovely tunes, a great voice and thoroughly enjoyable instrumental breaks that are written with care.

Feb 06 2025

The hits are the hits, the rest doesn't do anything for me.

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Feb 07 2025

A chaotic though reasonably enjoyable collection of what essentially feels like background music.

The Specials by The Specials
Feb 10 2025

Well, it's ska... but also kinda catchy...

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 11 2025

HEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Feb 13 2025

The album cover had me excited. Music was alright.

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Feb 14 2025

Looks like a rock and roll. Sounds like rock and roll. Must be rock and roll.

Feb 17 2025

Fun to finally sit down for a full record from a big name. Great even though it kind of sounds monotonous, it shines in that monotony. Awesome energy.

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Feb 19 2025

weird but in a good way the album has a certain dreamlike quality to it like a fever dream - which i greatly enjoy. i think the female vocalist has a great sounding voice, sounding like she has a lot of fun in what she's doing. very energetic, infectious. and the guy screaming things that seem kind of random just totally fits into the whole image

Alien Lanes by Guided By Voices
Feb 20 2025

Looks like a drug induced mess, sounds like a drug induced mess

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 21 2025

Cool!

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Feb 24 2025

Plenty of great sounds and compositions to hear, though not all equally catchy, still really enjoyable

Play by Moby
Feb 25 2025
Wild Gift by X
May 06 2025

Fun, dusty garage-punk - though not all that memorable

Nick Of Time by Bonnie Raitt
May 07 2025

Bonnie's voice is coaxing enough, but I can't connect enough to the rest of the material

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
May 08 2025

Not Steely Dan, but still solid fun

1984 by Van Halen
May 14 2025

Great tones, great riffs, great mix

Orbital 2 by Orbital
May 15 2025

So repetitive ..... not sure how to get into the trance of it, but I keep feeling intrigued by it.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
May 16 2025

Absolutely beautiful, the horns, the rhythms, the tunes

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
May 19 2025

I've only ever heard this guy being referred to as an absolute legend. In light of that, this was.. whelming.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
May 20 2025

5 starts for homework music, 2 stars for active listening

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
May 22 2025

Five stars for the atmosphere and production. There's honestly not many hooks that stick with me, but it simply doesn't matter on this record.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
May 26 2025

Some truly haunting and beautiful stuff on here. The rest is okay.

Odelay by Beck
May 27 2025

Sleazy in the most enjoyable way

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
May 29 2025

Interesting to hear, though repetitive and not that ejoyable after the novelty wears off

So by Peter Gabriel
Jun 02 2025

The slower songs are great.

Jun 03 2025

Homophobic, misogynistic, insane, funny, charismatic, worrying, bipolar. Barring all the insane shit, it's a great record. If you can let go a little.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Sep 24 2025

Simplistic enough, though it doesn't grab me

Tical by Method Man
Sep 26 2025
Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
