What is my generation's obsession with this droning, incoherent noise factory? Am I not being pretentious enough? I've tried, I REALLY have, but I just. Don't. Get it. I love Creep, but it turns out that's because it's just an old goddamn Hollies song! Could not tell one track from the other on this collection of nonsense. Gets a 2 instead of 1 bc it has a few decent beats, and I was on occasion interested in some of the instrumentation, but those were the sad bits of passable sausage in am exceptionally weak gravy.

Quite possibly the best collection of music ever put to tape.

The kings of late prog rock at their best.

Maggot Brain puts this completely over the top for me.

Musically there are some interesting bits, but it is far too much riffing, self indulgent nonsense.

This was a pleasant surprise. There's no one track that stands out, unfortunately, but the album as a whole works.

The pieces are there, but... I dunno, never really gels for me.

Had a buddy in high school who despised Gorilllaz. Couldn't figure out why. I only heard their hits, and they were fun bops. After hearing this album, I understand his hate. Anti-music post grunge SLOP. Clint Eastwood is the only thing saving this from a 1.

Mikey J! Hadn't listened to the album itself in years. Of course the hits are all timers, but the rest of the music? Honestly just filler. Good filler, but it's 3 of the greatest pop hits of all time and a middling ready of it. Still 4.5

Idk I kinda liked it. There's too many ideas, it's overproduced, the lyrics are trite at best, but there are occasional bits that I really enjoy.
