Dec 20 2023

4/5 Really have to put effort into listening to the lyrics, but usually the same with all hip hop. Dope flows

2/5 dig some of the soundscapes, but ultimately not really might taste.

4/5 I’ve never been keen on Beatles music, but listening through this whole album opened me up to the range they have and makes me appreciate their music a bit more. I get the hype now.

Truth by Jeff Beck
Oct 10 2024

3/5 I liked it. Good blues.

Queen II by Queen
Oct 11 2024

4/5 Great.

Debut by Björk
Oct 15 2024

2/5 What a voice, but the backing music just doesn’t do it for me.

Electric by The Cult
Nov 14 2024

4/5 Loved some of the guitar solos.

Nov 15 2024

3/5 I liked some of the sounds, I imagine this is what set some of the berlin-underground-bunker vibe that would later become associated with the Matrix and other similar things.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Nov 19 2024

4/5 Some bangers & solid range.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

4/5 Great album, very even level, a lot of ”must play” songs for a somewhat short album.

Achtung Baby by U2
Jun 16 2025

3/5 Too same-ey and mellow for my taste. Some good songs, bur ultimately not too big a fan of the sound to like a full album of it.

Jun 18 2025

4/5 big fan of the flow and witty lyricism of the album. Some choruses were a little bit weak, but the instrumentals more than made up for that

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
Jun 19 2025

4/5 I thought this was garage rock after the first track. Then I was proven wrong. Then I thought it was stadium rock. Once again I was wrong. Incredible soundscape throughout the album, always switching it up. My personal nitpick is that the same vocal type of whisper-echo song isn’t my personal favourite, but all in all, it’s one of those albums I’m happy I listened to.

Live / Dead by Grateful Dead
Jun 20 2025

4/5 I don’t know what kind of prejudices I had against the music of Grateful Dead, but whatever they were, they were proved wrong. This live performance oozes of musical talent, and beeing a big fan of instrumental tracks, the tracks on this album were a joy to listen to. With all songs being particularly long, it’s the perfect ’put on in the background for a hood mood’ album, and I’m really happy to have listened to this cool blend of rock/blues.

The Specials by The Specials
Jun 23 2025

3,5/5 Apart from the one or two bangers, what I found especially interesting was how fun it seems like this band had, both playing and writing this album. A mix of brit-rock and reggae that works surprisingly well, combined with what I wrote above results in the biggest draw for me, which is interesting music. Probably not an album I will be listening to a bunch of times, but at least something that enriched my life by having listened to it once.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jun 24 2025

1/5 At the end of the day, none of the tracks were all that interesting.

2/5 While I didn’t find much of the sound of the album to be interesting to me, coupled with poorly aged sound quality, I can’t help but feel that this album deserves to be analyzed more in regards to the time it was released in, to better understand the background and climate these lyrics are meant to reflect. It feels, from start to finish, like a very political album.

Your Arsenal by Morrissey
Jan 09 2026

3/5 Great "dad rock" album, first few tracks really set the mood for me, maybe something to listen to on a roadtrip when the mood is right.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Jan 12 2026

4/5 I really liked the variance of the tracks and the overall sound of the album. Without knowing who influenced who, the sound reminds me of Lennon and Bowie, but still different enough that I wouldn’t say that anyone copied one or another.

Pornography by The Cure
Jan 13 2026

2/5 One or two tracks had instrumentals that I found interesting, but overall there were too many elements that didn’t fit my tastes all that much.

It's Too Late to Stop Now by Van Morrison
Jan 14 2026

4/5 Good live album. Love me some soul, and I appreciated the solos from the band.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Jan 15 2026

2/5 Didn’t find this album all too memorable or interesting.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Jan 16 2026

4/5 This album was funk-ay! Got the drums, the brass and the bass, what more could you ask? Even if some of the later tracks felt like they were repeating some themes and ideas from earlier in the album, the overall mix of catchy refrains and fresh instrumental sections leaves me wishing that this band had made more than one album.

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Jan 19 2026

2/5 While no doubt a historical and well-made fot its time, today a lot of the tracks feel a bit same-ey.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jan 20 2026

3/5 A lot of blues and proto-rock inspiration shining through. Solid, but nothing mind blowing.

Tellin’ Stories by The Charlatans
Jan 31 2026

3/5 Solid, nice groovy garage rock-ish type of album, but with higher production quality than your typical garage.

My Generation by The Who
May 07 2026

3/5 Strong 3 out of 5, had a good mix of elements from other genres which kept things interesting. Always a sucker for a long instrumental as the end track to really let out all the musical energy that didn’t get a chance to be expressed in the other songs.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits
May 08 2026

3/5 My first Tom Waits album. I found the music interesting, and some of the tracks actually pretty good when the elements of blues and soul clearly influence the singing.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
May 09 2026

4/5 Overall good musical ability to make most tracks feel special and worthwhile to listen to.

Damaged by Black Flag
May 10 2026

3/5 Timeless lyrics and raw instrumental energy brings the score up.

The Libertines by The Libertines
May 11 2026

3/5 Solid, didn’t find my interest piqued all that much though.

May 12 2026

4/5 Generational rhymes and storytelling, but I’m happy that the dude nowadays is sober and corny instead of on drugs and horny.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
May 14 2026

3/5 Ambivalent grade. I feel some stuff is solid, after a while it gets boring, and the instrumenral tracks at the end are very hit or miss. It barely eeks out a 3.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
May 16 2026

5/5 Bangers and varied instrumentals, interesting and good vibes throughout.
