makes me feel like i am a white kindergarten mom in 2004. 3/5
i LOVE 505 by them so this was lowkey a letdown, kinda boring but also phineas and ferb coded. couple bangers 3/5
4/5 I thought it was pretty good! Very chill and vibey
didn't have a good time listening to this. aside from the one or two bangers (lauryn hill!!) This was lowkey an album half the cast of Hamilton would be in and it didn't really float my boat 2/5
Weird (2/5) but oddly compelling...? (+1/5) = 3/5
Unremarkable. Just some other 60s guy. Did bro have a stroke with the last song title? 3/5
Imagine a liberal arts school's acapella group made an album but they had to use instruments. That's what this album sounds like. 3/5 disclaimer i didnt listen to the second half because i assume its just the same thing but in french.
mixing was strange for the first couple of songs, but i liked his voice. not sure how i felt about the fourth wall break in the beginning of the album. 3/5
A bit of a hard listen, just too long and didn’t really enjoy his flow. also tough that this album came out on 9/11. 3/5
Not bad. Fun EDM-y vibes. Liked the last song. 3/5
Wow. Can't believe they took the time to remaster this horrendous piece of music. Can't believe I sat through all 41 minutes at 52 seconds. Painful listen. 1/5
Fine (even good, at some points!!) production but the singer is just not good. Also I'm just gonna pretend I didn't hear the last three songs. 3/5
Great listen. I enjoy some classic Big Band Jazz. I liked Am I Blue. 4/5
Maybe I'm just in a good mood but all the albums I've rated today have been good. A lot of the albums I enjoy now feel like they could be the grandchildren of this album. Was gonna give it 4/5 but the end got a little weird so 3/5
HOLY COW what am I listening to? I went all the way to YouTube to listen to what MIGHT be the worst album of all time. You need to read the Wikipedia for this album because the environments in which this album was created might be the only environment possible to come up with this...1/5
I was so hopeful for this album but the singer is just not good. 2/5
Boring. Not the worst thing ever 3/5
Not really feeling it. Almost gave it a 1/5 but there has to be worse music out there 2/5
Some bangers I guess but I don't really enjoy this genre that much. Also the songs are soooo long. Probably the best punk? rock? album out there tho I just don't like punk rock 3.5/5
Frank Sinatra is Big Band Jazz! Not Bossa Nova! Also I didn't realize his name was Francis
I liked it at first and then it just kept getting worse and worse. I also only listened to like a quarter of the album bc most of it is unavailable on spotify whoops
Like tell me why that wasn't bad!
Like it definitely wasn't that bad but at some point i was like wtf am I listening to
Very listenable! And short! Just not rlly my type of music. Reminds me of Cruisin for a Brusin from Teen Beach Movie
What if instead of 1001 albums we did 1001 songs where we only had to listen to the songs above 400k streams on spotify? That would've saved me about 1 hour and 51 minutes of what the hell was that.
2/5 there was only one good song.
This is lowkey not my shit. Also I think this album is making me nauseous 2/5
i liked steamroller but why does he pronounce cement like that... 3/5 also he's lowkey a baddie...
Like lowkey what am I listening to? Definitely not good but there exists worse music out there 2/5
She a baddie! Pretty solid album. Wasn't perfect but a some songs were occasionally ok to listen to. 3.5/5
I never thought I'd say that the 8m32s song saves this album but American Pie genuinely has such a place in my heart bc of one summer camp I went to when I was younger. Aside from American Pie the rest of this album was boring. 3/5
This album is for people who like Bohemian Rhapsody. Which... I don't. I don't HATE it, but I only like it because everyone else likes it. I'll be honest. 3/5
Don't know if I paid any attention to this album when listening. It is very spooky? But listening to it in a corporate setting is just the wrong setting I guess. Wasn't bad at all, but not something I'd ever voluntarily listen to. I think I see the vision... 3.5/5
Honestly I really fucked with this album. I enjoyed the live-ness of the album and just listening to the instruments. Not sure if they're jazz or rock but it was fun. Why they started playing Joy to the World at the end of their first 20 min song idk. Last couple of songs were really boring and long but not bad. 4/5
Very pleasant listen. 4/5
Not sure why I am enjoying this but I really didn't think it was bad even though it is just not music I listen to. 4/5. Maybe after listening to some truly terrible music my perception of judgement has changed.
When I listen to music, I genuinely do not perceive words and lyrics at all. Therefore this was just any other hip hop album. 3/5.
Some of it was truly ass, but after hearing bro's name in the crosswords so often I thought his music would be a lot worse! 3/5 I liked The Big Ship. Also didn't know he sang.
Like lowkey no thoughts about this album. It was fine. Some good parts and some bad parts. At some point everything started to sound the same. 3/5
Fun listen. I think I just enjoy female singers more because her voice was just pleasant to listen to. Production was alright. Maybe I am a country fan because I didn't realize this was country. 4/5
Its not even that bad but for some reason I just am so impatient listening to this album. Too long and sooo repetitive so it was very boring and I just wanted it to end. 2/5.
The beginning was funny my bad. I think old hip-hop is just a bit too repetitive and boring for me. I like music with clear melodies. Def an important listen, since it speaks a lot on the racism and social tensions of the time, but I wouldn't listen to it again. 3/5
Was ehh about it but then I liked it 4/5 I was listening to some Fleetwood Mac this morning and I feel like its in a similar vein.
Is it not interesting how relativity is the only way I am able to subjectify material? How I can find enjoyment in anomalous places due to boring ass albums that I listened to before this? Honestly fuck it 5/5.
edit: i looked at the global reviews and im now going to be a sheep and give this album a 4/5
I'm just not really feeling it. Interesting concept for an album, but I just don't like old school hiphop I guess. 2/5
Band and production isn't bad, singer ruins it a little for me. Overall fine but forgettable. 3/5
I didn't realize she was singing in English for the first four songs. Honestly a weird album but for some reason I liked it. 4/5
Very strange mix of genres. Sort of carnivally and jazzy and he has a very musical theatery and Bluesy voice. Just a strange album altogether. Some good some bad. 3/5
I have never truly listened to Kendrick before and I enjoyed it a lot! Favs included: Backseat Freestyle, Money Trees, m.A.A.d city. I def just like more melodic stuff. Not sure if I'm saving my 5/5 for **the** perfect album or if I'm just too nit picky with my reviews but I think the genre, some songs, etc. made it not the perfect album so 4/5.
I felt like this album was supposed to evoke emotion in me but it didn't really. Except for This Mess We're In. Banger. 3.5/5
Generic but not bad 3.5/5
this is what made country music unpopular 3/5
not bad. dolly’s voice is nice. i think there are some unresolved mommy issues here bc why did she reference her mother so many times. 3/5
Just unremarkable. I've been giving every forgettable album a 3/5. If I'm not gonna remember this album tomorrow it gets a 3/5. 3/5.
