Sounds like exactly what I expected to hear. The musicality is great, but each track is very similar, and so it all kind of mushes together for me. It's vibey.
Joni Mitchell's voice is amazing. Gilmore Girls vibes.
No idea who this is. Catchy and positive piano playing. Makes me think a little of a bluesy Reich set of pieces.
Solid riffs, several super popular songs that are still good despite overplay.
It's butt punk! Attitude and power chords of punk, but with tons of meedlies and squeedlies and silly song titles. It's wild.
Absolutely classic. Jamaica song feels like an odd one, though.
He's got a nice voice. Very 70s. Too long. Love his irreverence, though. Intro was surprising!
This whole album is banger after banger. An iconic voice and great 80s synth stuff.
Jangly and catchy, but not exactly memorable
Yep, sounds like Neil Young. Some stuff I recognize from the radio or something. Voice is acquired taste, but harmonies are wonderful.
Several very good songs. Flow is on-point. Could do without so many interstitial things, but eh.
Ominous, textural, moody vibes. Such good, very recommend
Classic. Full of bangers. "Just Leave Me Alone" is underrated.
Basically perfect. No notes.
Wonderful vocals over some great tracks. Very close to a 5.
This is between a 3 and a 4 for me. It's got some huge hits on it, and then it's got some ok stuff. I think I might actually be losing my affinity for Robert Plant's wailing.
This might be my new favorite Beck album after being a Midnite Vultures stan for years.
Interesting lyrics, decent voice. I can see why so many people cover him.
Listened to it many times before so know it's great. Tons of hits.
Not their best. It's between a 3 and a 4.
I didn't even get halfway through. It was competent blues rock, but it just sounded like the Rolling Stones without the panache.
This album was an...experience. Was it pleasant? Unsure. It's a low 3/5 at best, because it's largely so odd and lacking in melody or structure, but it's still interesting.
This was surprisingly nice to listen to, despite never hearing of this band before. A 3.5+ from me.
It's possible this Just Wasn't My Thing(tm), but besides a track or two, nothing really stuck with me.
A ridiculous masterpiece that holds up 30 years after release.
Strong 3, but even though there are a lot of hits, the rest is so-so
Strong 3, for sure. Kind of starts to sound similar after a while.
I've heard the hits a million times, and they're still good. Parallel Universe is great, too. The others are...fine.
Was hoping this album's non-radio hits were as good...but they were not. Solid effort, but not as exceptional as it could've been.
Despite not knowing this band, I'm now a full-fledged Zutonite.
Strong 3. Never heard them. The "singing" gets pretty monotonous after a while, but the music's cool. More varied in genre than I would've thought. Padded with way too much live/b-side stuff, though.
55 years old, and still slaps.
Money for Nothing is straight fire. The rest are...fine.
Cry Me a River and Rock Your Body are still solid. The rest of it...is fine. Well-produced and catchy like you'd assume, but not overly memorable. Also, the whole thing is too long. I got tired of listening to it near the end and just stopped.
A classic. The whole thing is brilliant and brilliantly-played.
Groovy and oddly interesting
Title track is an all-timer, for sure, but the rest of the album is quite strong and up there with any other Elton John album.
Prince is unique. He has an unmistakeable voice, lots of talent, and a great work ethic. There's plenty here to like, but there's also...too much. And only a handful of songs really stand out.
The title track is still good, but it's not as good as I remember. The other tracks are...fine.
This was a surprising 4/5 for me. Never heard of this artist, nor was I familiar with any of his band's (Smog) output. It was weird and trippy and entrancing.
Pleasantly surprised by this! Has some real 80s flavor.
Excellent production but not my favorite Massive Attack album
Nice pop album. Imagine cover unnecessary. Too long.
This is what happens when toxic masculinity goes unchecked.
Surprisingly awesome. Lead singer is great.
