She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper

Like it a lot, reminds me of tango in the night slightly but with its own uniqueness, obviously has some classics, big fan of the last song with the audio in the background. Solid electric guitar and synths throughout. Give it a 7.5/10

Moon Safari by Air

Like it a lot, hints of daft punk, Radiohead and such. Vocals aren’t quite to my liking but the instrumentals are fun and keep you listening.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Mar 04 2025

The album is a very enjoyable with some very upbeat, major tones. However, it is very apparent the technology in music was lacking at the time therefore not hugely impressing me. Would recommend to others who want an easy listen. Big fan of the use of the organ

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Mar 07 2025

Quite repetitive, not much of a story to the songs, like the live effect don’t think I would revisit some songs did tickle my fancy

Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada
Mar 10 2025

Not a big fan of electrical music, haven’t finished the album but can’t say they will make it to the playlist

Moon Safari by Air

Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys
Mar 12 2025

Trying to look past the shear length is difficult, sounds like Bob Dylan at points, eastern accent is very obvious which I like, gives a uniqueness to the voice although not a fan of the production - to airy and dry.

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Mar 13 2025

Initially wasn’t a fan, but as I listened and got more in tune with his sound I thought it was quite nice. Bit too slow for my liking but love the themes.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Mar 15 2025

Incredible besides that one song. What is going on there

Truth by Jeff Beck
Mar 16 2025

I like the Blues that follows the whole record. Greensleeves was my grade 2 piano piece so revisiting that was very nostalgic for me. No real bad things to say other than noticeable production issues but that’s to be expected

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Mar 18 2025

Heard it when I was younger, dad’s a big fan. Can never really get past the 5th song when I listened to it

Logical Progression by LTJ Bukem
Mar 19 2025

Like it, very good gateway for me quick and electronic music. Like the slight jungle, house and dnb tones.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Mar 20 2025

Happy beach music, obvious theme. The song with the kid singing was unlistenable but good progression and vibe overall

Fifth Dimension by The Byrds
Mar 21 2025

Nothing to note, can’t say there are any rememberable songs. Seemed ahead of their time for the decade. One song sounded like a hoover was on in the back, not sure how u felt about it.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Mar 22 2025

His voice sounds quite different early on in his career, almost sounds like someone else. Not his best work by any means but good nonetheless. Not my go to genre can’t say much about the development at all, just seems very blues as jazzy

Homework by Daft Punk
Mar 26 2025

Really good. Love the electronic aspects. Can see so many songs take inspiration from 2 men trying something different. Nearly every song is a banger and all follow a trend to keep it as an album.

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Mar 28 2025

Really like it, one of my favourites so far, big fan of the live performance aspect, slightly long but the guitar solos are incredible and his voice is crisp

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Apr 01 2025

Brilliant guitar solos mixed with well crafted lyrics. Very campfire-esque vibe. Really loved it.

Want One by Rufus Wainwright

Don’t get it

I like how the album is a depiction of a day and night cycle, picking up slowly then running jt back down to a more mellow slow vibe for the night. Good sound, some catchy and remembers me tunes.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Apr 08 2025

Not a fan of his voice tbh

Seems like a gospel album, loved the choir acts in the background. Was more of an album where he singled out certain components especially his voice and piano with the piano being involved throughout the album

Never listened to something like this before, love the instruments used, each song has its own skeleton and you can tell they’re different which I find hard in songs in other languages personally. I wouldn’t listen to this as a daily but something cool to come back to at certain events.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock

Really like this slow funk/jazz mix. Very ambient music, you can complete a task while listening to this or have a good conversation. Personally for me the instruments in the second song sound likes remind children so I’m not a fan but the rest is great.

The first few songs I was enjoying, not enough to want to listen again and I feel it slightly dropped off as the album went on
