Not my cup of tea. Too bouncy be a laid back listen. Not rocking enough to even be a soft rock listen.
A couple of very good songs, but on the whole, too soft and slow for me.
Very cruisey. Not his best work, but a taste of things to come.
I love this album. My daughter started listening to it when she was in her early teens and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. His lyrics absolutely stunned me, as did his delivery. The musicianship on this album is fantastic. I was not expecting much, but what I got was one of the best albums I can ever remember listening to.
Powerful.
Psychedelic. Interesting background or club music. Nice enough, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen again.
Seems a bit indulgent to me. I suppose if there's anyone who deserved being allowed some indulgence in their career, It's John Lennon. Didn't really enjoy this.
Just, no. I gave up a little over half way through.
They obviously had a lot of fun making this album and the videos, but not really my taste.
Crisp and clean. I loved the movie and I love this album. I could listen to Keith Moon for hours.
Does anyone actually listen to this? I tried really hard, but it just annoys the crap out of me...
I listened to the whole album, and while for me it was nice background music, it doesn't appeal.
The Number of The Beast, followed by their other early albums, including this one and up to and including Powerslave, cemented my love of hard driving rock. For me, very few lineups could elicit the same adrenalin filled response prompted by early Maiden.
I listened to enough to know that while the lyrics may contain a message, if I can't get past the delivery style, I won't hear the message. I can't get past the delivery style. This album does nothing for me.
I generally like The Beatles, but most of this album was a bit off track, (excuse the pun), for me.
A couple of stand out songs, but not the whole shebang yet. That comes later.
That was a bit of a yawn festival...
High energy. Post punk. I enjoyed this.
Firmly in the post punk new wave era, this album was more polished than their debut, but also less exciting. I think I enjoyed the rawness more.
Paint it Black! One of my favourite Stones' tracks. Another couple of very good songs, with the rest just typical cruisey late 60's treasure.
A very good soft rock album. Not my favourite genre, but great for background while working.
Awesome! Led Zep were a huge influence through my teens and early 20s. They're still one of my favourites. For me, Led Zep don't have any bad albums.
That was interesting. Not unpleasant. A good, solid, light rock album.
Funky and fun. Not my style.
Easy to see why they were so popular. Very easy to listen to.
Folk music, but a bit more upbeat. Very enjoyable.
When Bob Dylan writes, it's generally worth listening to the whole song. His voice is nasal and whiney, but still compelling, because it's paired with unique music. Another great collection.
Very cruisey. Good background.
I always enjoy hearing ZZ Top whenever they pop up in the podcasts I listen to, but I'd never listened to a full album of theirs. I liked this a lot. I could listen to them all day. Fun, energetic, clean, with a great rock sound and great guitar licks.
Close to being very likeable. The lead vocals kept preventing me from taking the music seriously. I quite liked the music itself. Easy rock.
A good listen. I am appreciating Metallica more each time I hear them.
Not terribly impressed by this album. Nice is the best I can come up with. Happy to play as background music.
For me, this sounded like typical Nick Cave. Nothing to get too excited about. Nice to have in the background.
Ready to listen to. Quite enjoyed some of this.
Nice enough. One or two tracks at a time is okay. More than that gets a bit tedious.
Not for me. Hip hop generally doesn't interest me.
That was surprisingly uninspiring. It was pleasant enough background but didn't do much for me.
Easy listening. Soft rock, ballads.
Sorry, but I just can't enjoy this. Hip hop as a rule just doesn't do anything for me.
A little bit on the pop side. Prefer her rocking and soul side. Still happy to listen to this though.
God save me from Hip Hop! Please, no more...
Too soft, just not in the mood for this right now.
Very early Room Petty. The signs were there...
I would call this new wave. But I suspect that's a bit old fashioned. They would play well on Triple J. Or maybe they would have ten or more years ago... I must be getting too old for this.
I quite liked this. Not over the top. Classified a Indie Rock, it came across more like laid back Thrash Metal.
A bit wishy washy for me.
I like this. I would definitely listen to them again. Surprisingly enjoyable. Made me think of The Cat Empire.
Very good work background. African tribal chanting; very melodious.
Noise rock huh? Appropriate. Just a lot of noise to me.
Okay. Not my first choice.
A bit boring. I suppose somebody likes it...
Love Rush! This doesn't disappoint.
Still with the hip hop. No.
Not a bad album. Wouldn't rate it among my favourites.
That'll do nicely thank you.
Solid Bob Marley. Gotta be in the right mood.
Boring and repetitive is the kindest thing I can say about that...
Not my thing. A couple of listenable songs. I don't get why some of these albums are considered to be "must listen"...
More easy listening background stuff.
Jaysus. Nearly fell asleep. Just sounded whiney and disinterested.
God save me from "visionary" artists. I think they were looking at their navels...
Walk This Way with Aerosmith is a great track. The rest is a bit repetitive and not my thing.
Okay, so not as good as i was hoping. Mediocre really.
Even though this is not his best work, I still like listening to this way more than most of the albums presented in this list.
Well, that was pure self indulgence...
Always happy to listen to The Who.
White Rabbit is a great track. The rest are listenable, if not memorable.
I'm going to say it again. I don't enjoy rap for the most part.
I don't know how this would be classified. Mostly rap with some borderline R&B? Not for me.
Sounds like someone who left either The Beach Boys or The Eagles, or both, and couldn't decide what to do. Soft rock, not particularly inspiring. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it.
Thought "Oh no" after the first song had a distinct rap sound to it. Thankfully that was the only one. The rest were actually quite refreshing. Some R&B influences in there, with enough differentiation from run of the mill artists to make this quite good to listen to.
I literally fell asleep while listening to this.
Do not operate heavy machinery while this is playing.
Fluffy and light. 60's / early 70's soft, almost psychedelic rock. Okay to have in the background.
I like this era of Bob Dylan.
I like one song on here. I think it's School Spirit with some sampling thrown in. Apart from that? No.
Not inspiring. Not terrible. Sounded like the vocalist was an ex punk rocker.
One of my all time favourite albums! This is metal at its energetic best!
Left field is accurate. That's where this is from. A bit electronic/funky for my liking.
Fits right in to the "Short, Fast, Loud" segment that used to feature on Triple J. Fun. Refreshing.
Well, it turns out that most of this album just sounds a bit droney, if that's a real word. Creep is good, but there's too much of the same sort of sound.
A great album. Good listening.
Not bad. Lively, didn't annoy.
I class this as Triple J music. Okay to listen to, doesn't annoy me, wouldn't buy it. Alternative I guess.
Thought I'd like this, going by the title. Alas, it was more jazz than blues, in my opinion. Lifeless, likely to put me to sleep if I heard it played in a bar or nightclub.
A bit too psychedelic for me.
Generally like David Bowie, but wasn't overly taken with this one.
His talent is on full display here. Before he went off the rails. Not my taste, but can't deny it's good.
What a great album. Of course the title track is the biggest, but I can listen to whole album very happily.
Short, fast, loud candidates. Not bad.
A much more enjoyable woeful than his previous work reviewed.
A bit of soul, but not for me.
Bit of a yawn festival. Not my thing.
Triple J music. Listenable.
Middle of the road. Doesn't grab me.
I think I could listen to Dolly all day.
You cannot deny his talent and range.
More of the same. Not terribly interesting.
Meh. A bit "pop" for me. Never really enjoyed Boy George.
Generally happy to listen to Lou Reed. Fairly typical of what I understand to be the Lou Reed sound.
It all just sounds the same to me. Boring, repetitive.
Good ole original Southern Blues.
Good name. Definitely funky.
Jazz. Not for me, thanks.
Got the Ska sound. A couple of good tracks, but overall, just background.
My very first album buy! Still one of my favourites.
Okay. Just not a big heads fan.
Not bad. Quite good background
Hey. Pretty good. I quite like this stuff.
Boring. It all sounds the same middle of the road barely better than Muzak to me.
No, i can't do this. It's slow and nice and I'm just not in the mood.
Well, Lou Reed starts to sound the same all the time...
