1001 Albums Summary

Good to listen to this consciously, opens really strongly but does dry out towards the end. Nothing else matters felt almost country to me on this listen.

An absolute vibe, seemed like this has inspired a lot of others, a thoroughly enjoyable listen

Feels a bit like a musical soundtrack or rock opera

Within the first four minutes I'd already googled is it the same Booker T as the wrestler (no), where do I know Green Onions from (Twin Peaks the Return) and where do I know the riff from Rinky Dink (Dirty Dancing - Love is Strange)

Had to change speakers to do this justice, really good fun album, had only really heard Doll Parts before but would listen again.

Aside from the singles didn't really vibe with this

Had mainly heard the more melancholy stuff so this was an enjoyable change

Very much my kind of thing, will be on regular rotation

Wondered if this would change my opinion on Bon Jovi, it did not.

Well that was quite the cultural whiplash moment for me

Not for my but also largely inoffensive. The last track was like a Python sketch.

Some of this I liked, some of it I felt like I was short circuiting
