1001 Albums Summary

Disc 1 is amazing, disc 2 also has great songs but some disc 2 songs are just ok. Fantastic album nonetheless.

No songs that I would play on purpose, but I’d be happy to listen to most of them on the radio or at a party is they came up

Terrible, sounded like a nightmare before Christmas soundtrack and not in a good way. Very weird songs.

Really good and interesting, didn’t reach the level of great though

Alright, well made but not my thing. The iron man cover was a nice surprise though

Great album, second favorite so far. No real notes on why it’s not a five, just didn’t get to that level for me despite how good it is

I can see why people love David Bowie but his music just isn’t my thing. Didn’t enjoy listening to the album but it’s undeniably well made and Bowie has undeniable talent

Pretty good

Alright, nothing too good or too bad. Good listen but not a very interesting one

Alright listen, no noteworthy elements to praise. The screaming on scentless apprentice was pretty bad though, didn’t like it at all. This album pales in comparison to Nevermind in every way. Quite a disappointment.

Don’t get why other reviewers absolutely hated it, but I also didn’t love it. A solid three stars, didn’t dislike it but it’s an ok listen. “Someone” is the highlight of the album.

Eh, nothing special

Never liked Prince, and this album didn’t change my mind

Great album, better than L.A. Woman (another album by The Doors) and one of the best albums so far.

No songs that I’d really like to listen to solo in a playlist, but a good album altogether and a good listen.

Great album, much better and more interesting than I thought it would be.

A couple decent songs that are surrounded by over an hour of subpar music.

Good album, better than I thought it would be. Really like Gospel Plow

Bad album, didn’t like any of the songs. Doesn’t deserve to be on this list, at least some of the other bad albums were interesting or experimental in some noteworthy way. This one is just bad while being exceptionally boring. Longest 38 minutes of my life. Not as bad as a Tom Waits album, but still a disappointing one star.

Decent, better than I expected

Eh, not the greatest

Great album, fast car is the best track on there

Pretty decent, good car music

Experimental in a good way, Persian love was surprisingly good

Didn’t really like it, never liked pop, especially a bit “weirder” stuff like this

Absolutely love Dire Straits, so happy this came up and loved listening to this album again

Great blues style album, really fantastic listen. So glad this popped up, never would have discovered this on my own

Just an hour of straight nothing

Bad music all around. Was in a bad mood to start with and this made it worse. The weird ass album cover didn’t help any.

Got this the day after Dolly Parton died. This is a moving and meaningful country album, Dolly Parton was a true talent who lived her life with true grace and humility.

Alright music but not my style

Nothing special. Kinda my style of music but not done in a very good way.

Not good, unimpressive vocals and subpar music overall

Eh, nothing special. A bit annoying at some times and a bit boring at others.

Fantastic album. Much much better than I expected and a great listen.

Don’t think I enjoyed a single minute of this album. Thank god the whiny vocals were interspersed with ok instrumentals in most of the songs.

Great classic album.

Good album, knew some of the more popular songs but liked finding some news ones I liked

Nothing too great. Not bad but long winded and not exciting

Awful, not good in the slightest

Good album, good listen

Liked it, too long for me though. Good vocals. Heard of The Who today and was impressed.

Okay and chill

Absolutely love Pink Floyd, definitely my favorite band. Not my favorite album of theirs but still amazing

Not the greatest

Great album, not necessarily my style though

Not my thing at all, didn’t like listening to it in the slightest

Definitely talented but not my style at all

Good album, guy has great voice. Liked the bare acoustic guitar with vocals style a lot more than I thought I would
