Popular Reviews

American Beauty by Grateful Dead

Not good. Some songs are catchy, but good lord are the Dead overrated

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Aug 26 2025

Pleasant R&B album. A few too many intros, not enough songs, but it plays into the theme of each song exploring female sexuality in a different way.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Aug 27 2025

Fun mix of punk and rap. Sabotage is great. Started to feel like songs were all too similar towards the end of the album.

Aug 30 2025

It's alright. Its Talking Heads, so you know what you're getting into. Catchy, but all the songs kind of run together.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Aug 31 2025

Really good. Can't understand the lyrics, but it sounds great regardless. Southern sounding guitar, twangy with an afro twist.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Sep 03 2025

Good Stuff. Hippie rock that holds up really well. Somebody to Love and White Rabbit are the only songs I knew going in and was pleasantly surprised with the rest of the tracks.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Sep 05 2025

Fairly neutral on this album. Some songs whip, others go for a tad too long. Not bad by any means, but not one I anticipate will have repeat listens

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Sep 08 2025

Not good. Some songs are catchy, but good lord are the Dead overrated

My Generation by The Who
Sep 09 2025

Classic rock. Nothing unexpected. My Generation remains a banger.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Sep 10 2025

1st half is way better than the last half. Great album though. I see why Meatloaf ripped it off, lol

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Sep 11 2025

Not bad. Not my thing, but I appreciate it. Mbube is familiar, yet new.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Sep 12 2025

I'm not a jazz head. this isn't my thing, but I can recognize that its a good rendition of "not-my-thing."

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Sep 17 2025

Good stuff. Fun and upbeat with some classics. Skits are a bummer, but at least they're short.

Treasure by Cocteau Twins
Sep 22 2025

Interesting, atmospheric, alt rock. Not something I would listen to, but I don't mind it on.

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Sep 24 2025

Pleasant sounding. Catchy songs that I found myself sing later.

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Sep 28 2025

Really like this. Each song feels unique. Can see the influence of Dub, DnB and electronic on the production. You don't find rap like this very often stateside.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Sep 29 2025

Not bad, just not something I see myself putting on again. The title track is best.

Kala by M.I.A.
Oct 02 2025
Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 06 2025

Pure 80s synth pop. Iconic

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Oct 09 2025
Brothers by The Black Keys
Oct 10 2025

I saw the track list and was surprised that a) there were a bunch of songs I had already heard and liked, and b) there were a bunch of songs that I hadn't. After listening to the album I can confidently say that Black Keys have a shotgun approach to their songs. A few memorable songs that I'd pick to listen, a handful that I wouldn't skip, and about half the album that is just mediocre. Definitely pick and choose songs instead of listening to the whole thing.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Oct 11 2025

One of the better piano performances I have heard.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Dec 06 2025

Good stuff. Solid, mellow rock

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Dec 09 2025

Fantastic synth pop. Much better as the sum of its parts. Driving, haunting melodies flow so wonderfully together.

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Dec 12 2025

Hate R&B, but this has a couple good songs.

Tank Battles by Dagmar Krause
Dec 15 2025

Really not my thing

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Dec 18 2025

Interesting album. Don't know if I'd listen again

Dance Mania by Tito Puente
Dec 24 2025

All mambo sounds the same

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Jan 23 2026

A lot more noise-rock than I was expecting. Had some good hits as well. Will listen to select songs again

Queen II by Queen
Jan 27 2026

1st half: pretty decent. 2nd half: songs about wizards and elves

Vivid by Living Colour
Feb 01 2026
Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 09 2026
The Wall by Pink Floyd
Mar 17 2026

Don't like Pink Floyd

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Mar 19 2026

Surprise about how similar most of the songs are. Not bad, but not the Gorillaz that people know and love today.
