Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 09 2025

Really great first impressions. The production is pretty clean but in a way that lets everything really shine, especially the bass which is FAT. Reggae isn't a genre I'm too familiar with outside of some bands I enjoy that take heavy influence, but I really dig a lot of these songs musically and lyrically.

The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan
Nov 10 2025

This is one I'm very familiar with, a little disappointed to get it on the second day, but it was bound to happen with a good handful of these. Anyway, great album all the way through, very interesting sound combining cold synths with live instruments that'd go on to influence EVERYTHING for the next 40 years directly and indirectly. Easy 5.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Nov 11 2025

Pretty solid stuff, of course the album has two big hits in Girls Wanna Have Fun and Time After Time, but the rest of it follows in a similar vein for the most part. Somewhat standard 80s pop production, but creative arrangements and such.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Nov 12 2025

Pretty fun stuff. Nice grooves and uplifting mood. I'm not super familiar with this kind of music since I don't live in Brazil, but it's pretty lively and even a bit complex musically.

Rinky dink, rattley old rollercoaster Post-Punk ramblings. Pre'y good innit.

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors
Feb 19 2026

Much better than I was expecting! I'm not really the type who seeks out Indie music of any sort(unless it's 80s college rock), but this does so much more than the standard Indie fare. Lots of weird time signatures and changes that'll keep you on your toes and I really liked both the male and female lead vocals quite a bit.
